Love the reaction to the noisy kids. Great review. You have a way of describing the mood of a fragrance that is so much more helpful than your avg component description. Good job!
Plum blossom was one of my childhood smells. I would climb huge plum trees and relax in the smell like a white rose almond halo and watch the kereru(type of pigeon) eat the flowers.
I’ve watched this vid several times And break into laughter each time. your humour is up there. You’re great and I am FINALLY making the buy today on Nightingale since spring summer has arrived along with Hummingbird. Got in my goodie stash Moth and Bee and Musk Deer!!! We love Victor!
I just received several samples that I purchased.... and NIGHTINGALE IS BEAUTIFUL! It is absolutely gorgeous, it will be my Spring buy (bottle) and pink juice with those amazing graphics! Love Love Love! Thank you for such a lovely review! 💞
I ordered the sample pack after I watched your first review of the brand. I can't get into all of them, some are headache-inducing or just too overwhelming, but I also really appreciate what they are doing theme-wise. The journey-aspect is very cool, and I like that about them, even if they are not always wearable for me.
I feel exactly the same. There are a few that I wouldn't buy but the unusual notes and developments are different from a lot of companies. I also recently got Beaver (new formula) and it is by far my favourite, and the most pleasant and easy to wear. I have to give lots of respect for independent perfumers trying to break boundaries.Very interesting company, I'm always intrigued about what they will do next. I want Dolphin, or Peacock. :) What about you?
Hmm, maybe I'll try to order the new Beaver, and see! I think I would like Llama (imagining the scents of the Andes) or maybe a penguin or a polar bear, trying to capture a cold environment in a scent.
Oh yes, they should so do some icy animal ones. Or an aquatic one! The possibilities are endless. That's why it's such a good branding idea! I wish I had thought of it first! haha. Can you imagine what SLUG would smell like?
Those kids outside are pretty loud!! haha Good descriptions :) I'll be interested in testing them both! This one sounds way too feminine, but never mind! I want to know what you think of Coco Blanc!! :)
I will make sure that Coco Blanc gets put near the top of the video list. :) I saw you bought one? How cool? Bet it's nice having one in your collection. They are so beautiful looking.
Oi Romeo that's so British! Hmmm very interested in this fragrance. I love oriental fragrance... do you know if they have an outlet base somewhere? I am fascinated by the Sakura season
At the moment the company is very Niche and all bottled by hand by the owner, they are fairly new but keep releasing GREAT fragrances. They have a website you can order from, samples and things like that and they are based in Canada.
ouch110 Fragrance Reviews I had no clue I follow them on insta but I have not done any general research on the brand, I thought they were British! Whoops! Great info on this thanks again ! Their samples are so tiny and pricey I may have to contact them for some samples ..eek!
Wow, I've really gone back in the vault: I just noticed the upload date of this one. Your description had my complete, undivided attention because my sample of this one doesn't smell AT ALL like what you describe or what other reviewers have described. I watched and listened to you with such serious interest and I have to say: I'm ultra confused about my interpretation and am wondering if my sample has been compromised in some way. I most certainly DO NOT get anything that resembles springtime in Japan, or anywhere on planet Earth. I'll cut to the chase: Nightingale on me is definitely a chypre with a twist, so that's all correct. However, the most obnoxious and blatant notes are very clear: it smells like a zookeeper wearing an old fleece jacket that was sprayed the day before with Sisley's 'Soir de Lune' mixed with pungent animal faeces a hot zoo enclosure. The animal fur and poo-poo note has got to be the ambergris, musk, oud and patchouli. Holy smokes! I'd be so embarrassed to wear this in public. It would work for an older woman whose main passion is horses and so always exudes a personal scent which is a funky mixture of moss, hay, manure and horses. That animal manure smell is...am I genuinely the only one who really wanted to wear this but really cannot. I'm pretty outre and experimental and happy to get neck deep in the world of the avant-garde, but this...I draw the line at manure and rutting zoo animals. One last thought: the marine quality of the ambergris on me doesn't make me think of Nightingales in bloody Japan (aside from cooking smells, temple incense and craftsman's by-product odours, I don't associate Japan with any scent whatsoever); what it does strongly evoke for me, is either funky forest compost or a less than picturesque beach. This scent would make more sense to my own experience with it if it were called 'Badger', 'New Forest Pony' or 'Sea Turtle'. I don't get this one at all. Power walk down Bond Street rocking that hot compost-Soir de Lune- manure stench, yaaaaas!
Oooh I love this one but I won’t buy it because it’s not unique. I’ve smelt this before . I bought bat,bee and hummingbird . I’m gonna buy a few more soon . Oh what the heck, I’m gonna buy this one too. It’s quite nice on my skin. I don’t know why so many ppl hate bat. I actually like it, it’s unique and wearable . Bee is also so beautiful . Omg I am so crazy about this house. I am gonna go broke buying them all . This is the only Niche house where I can actually see myself buying all of the perfumes .

Bywater Wino thanks so much! :)

How nice! ahh so i's like a white rose? I was close then when I mentioned Peony, it does have that kind of feel.
Yip really floral rosy and sweet almond :-)

Thanks dude! Well I've offered them to Neil Atkinson, if he says no? They are yours! :)
