Yes! Great to see this list ☺ Rhino is the only one i own from this house , my personal favourite! Love how rough and rugged it is , super aggressive 👌 Bat was great too! Reminded me of moss covered rocks with half eaten fruit flung all over the ground. Super intresting. Class as always 🙏
Thanks fella. Rhino is kick ass, its the only other one that I've toyed with buying back and forth for it's super boozy boldness. Bat yes, it's crazy how it smells different in different seasons too (I'm not sure where you're from but if you're from a place that has different weather systems, Bat is a Chameleon) No pun intended as Chameleon is the next release from Zoologist in spring. It's way more banana in hot weather and just a whole crazy journey of perfume.
@@ouch110 from just across the sea in ireland , we like you lads can get all 4 seasons in a single day 😂 I had no idea when a new scent from zooligist was coming out , thanks for the heads up! I'll be keeping an eye out for it 🙏
@@UnknownChap Ahhh fellow Irishman! My surname is O'Brien, ya can't get more Irish than that lmao! I'll be sure to be sure to review Chameleon as soon as I can get my grubby little mitts on it. :)
SO EXCITED when I saw the notification for this video!!! I'm planning to buy a few more samples soon, so this is perfect timing. Dragonfly is definitely going in my cart. These fragrances are works of art. ♥
I know I am late to the show on this review... but I just watched your new review on Serge Luetens Fils de Joie, first before this video. Now I just finished this and I have to say Zoologist Camel could be a Serge Lueten fragrance. It has the rough texture you were just mentioning in the new video. Just put Camel in a Serge Lueten bottle and it fits perfectly into that house. I must say I love Camel and it is no wonder since I have 8 Serge Luetens. Thank you for your informative and entertaining videos, I always look forward to a new review!!
Yay for Moth! hehe. Yes the old beaver was really cool, I'm not sure why it was changed but the new one isn't bad. I just liked the old one as it was more edgy and challenging.
Haha thanks. Zoologist are worth talking about for sure. :) Oohhhh fort and manle, yes I had the pleasure of meeting Rasei in April and got to smell lots of their frags, don't judge haha but I didn't like em toooo much, I need to revisit them for sure though as there were some that sparked my interest. Just personal preference.
@@ouch110 Hahaha! No judgement whatsoever! I'll confess I wasn't a fan at first whiff. HOWEVER, they DO grow on you, in a big way, maybe like some of the greatest of the greats! My favorites are Absolutely Amber, Süleyman le Magnifique and Fatih Sultan Mehmed.
I love Moth too and Camel I love at drydown. But my favorites are Hummingbird and Bat. Oh my goodness those two I got bottles of. I just looooove them so much....
Love your nose, Ouchy! I just got the entire sample set and am going through it slowly. My favorite house now as well. Super, super artistic fragrances!
I came across this channel and I fell in love! We seemed to click in what we enjoyed (I think I like oud more lol). I don't comment much, but wanted to say I am delighted with you! You are a friend who I take around with me shopping and when discussing perfumes. I know it's intrusive to ask, but if your mother was up for it a video with her and you both giving opinions would be amazing. She sounds like a "connoisseur" too. And you are! Love Moth and Camel! (Goes to catch up on more videos...)
I have to get Nightingale for my Wife definitely!! I have T-Rex and Civet!! Camel and the one for my Wife is next, I really hopes she loves it!! I watched your most frequent list of Zoologist and had to see how your taste evolved
Can you perhaps do an updated list for 2021 ... I would be interested to see how your perceptions/rankings might have changed alongside the new additions to the line
I agree, this is why I can’t stop collecting frags. I love discovering different smells. I keep looking for a beautiful floral amber that will not lose the beauty in the dry down. I have MFK Grand Soir but the dry down is insanely sweet. Not good. I regret buying it. I need to sell or trade it for Ciel De Gum. That one I like better.
Excellent video mate! Oh I really need to try moth! I was excited to try camel, it was the one I thought I’d like the most from them all, but when i got my sample from bloom and tried it for the first time I didn’t like it much, i think it’s just a bit too skanky for my likey. I definitely need to try more from the house, just don’t think many of them are up my ally.
Ahh moth is also not the easiest to like, gosh I have it on now actually lmao. Ya gotta like honey, but also incense, it's stunning. I'll send ya a sample if ya like (after christmas) pm me or are ya on facebook?
Hehe, it's very cool! But some others over shadow it. I love em all really, one of the most innovating and interesting perfume brands out there for sure. :)
True....Very original fragrances. I tried about 7 of them twice (through samples) because I wanted so much to like them.... Unfortunately, they all last maximum half hour on my skin...really too bad, but for that reason I will not order any full bottle.
Wow I'm so surprised about the longevity issue you mention. I put rhinocerous on this morning and can still smell it now 12 hours later. Also moth? gosh it lasts forever!
Late to the party. Love your channel! I own Serge Lutens Chergui and love that "drop me in the middle of a spice market, north african vibe". Would Camel be different enough to justify a purchase or are they too similar. Thank you :)
Thanks! They are not similar at all really. In fact most Zoologists are unlike anything I've smelled which is why they are my fave. BUT....If you like Chergui and orientals, Camel is something you should try. It's still got a date/raisin feel but way more incense lead. And more animalic. It's stellar. :)
Hyrax is definitely not an easy fragrance to wear, and I am big fan of powerhouse animalic perfumes. Still, I ended up buying a full bottle. It's one of those fragrances that would rather have and not wear often than not have it and want to wear it. I feel the same way about T-Rex, though I don't own that one yet I have plans to buy a bottle soon. I strongly recommend that people sample these two before committing to a purchase.
Finally got my samples! Sadly, Nightingale does something weird on my skin. I get the powder but the resins and woods smells overpoweringly medicinal on my skin. I am sad about this! Thankfully Dragonfly and Hummingbird are bloody fantastic!
ouch110 Fragrance Reviews I only have the three samples for now but I do want to try Civet, Panda and Moth. I do love how unusual these are. They’re still wearable but they’re art. That’s hard to come by these days!
Have you ever reviewed Michael Kors sexy Amber? It is a simple fragrance but boy is it sexy. I just love it. It lingers all day and there’s something about it that is intoxicating. I don’t know but I find that sexy quality with gold fragrances or Amber fragrances. I don’t even know where Amber/gold comes from as far as a fragrance goes. You definitely have to wear it to appreciate it though. It does not smell good on paper.
Missy mon moth is amazing to me it smells like a beeswax candle Burning in a Old Church library full of old books, I haven’t tried camel but it does sound good
@@dylanthedyslexicvillain4294 I am looking forward to trying moth the most..Camel is something i have gone for because of the 'oud' note. Love oud fragrances!
Missy mon i just recently started to appreciate oud, A really fantastic oud fragrance i have smelt and really want to own, its from ensar oud EO NO1 its utterly amazing it comes in Parfum oil and edp its very expensive in the 50 ml size but you can get 7.5 mils of pure oil for reasonable price,
I went through the same thing with elephant as you did with hummingbird. I love elephants and really wanted to love this, but it was a little to dry to me. Do you have a video on your favorite white florals? I love white florals too.

Thanks for this great overview. I haven't sampled ANY zoologist, yet, I'm a huge amouage fan. (I liked how you did the "beloved" review, btw. really underrated...) Here's my question, though: How do you think "Camel" compares to "Jubilation XIV". Any ideas? Anhow, I'm hoping to be able to get the full sample package soon from the zoologists. Greetings from germany
Thanks so much! I'm not sure I would compare any Zoologist perfume to anything else really, they are very different. Camel is an oriental yes but it's way different, animalic and sweet. I think Jubilation is richer and Camel more crisp and incense based. Deffo give Zoologist a try! :)
Unfortunately towards the bottom. I understand the feeling and theme of it but aquatics aren't my favourite thing in the world. I get it, but it's probably one of my least faves. I'm SO excited about BEE though, the new one. I smelled it and it's awesome! Even though Zoologist are my favourite house, no house has ever had a 100% positive track record ever for me.
I would put Dodo somewhere towards the top 5, and Chameleon somewhere towards the bottom half. :) I LOVE Chameleon but I love stuff that us super loud. It's basically my perfect Ylang Ylang fragrance though. :)
Haha, not worrying at all. Everyone has different tastes, T-Rex while being amazing is not one I could wear often, have you tried MAAI by Bogue? I'm guessing you probably have! Antonio Gardoni craziness with 48 notes....bold and wickedly complex! Just request a sample from us (at work) and we'll send you it. :)
