Same here. It’s actually a disadvantage for me since grade boundaries will be higher, and I would remember them really easily. Now, pretty much anyone can pick up half marks on physics just from that sheet
I already did my gcses in may. I just watched to see what its going to be like for this years year 11s given everything that happened with the 2022 gcse exams to make them easier like lower grade boundaries, advanced information etc.
so u mean for every subject we will be given advanced info but then we are doing all the papers as normally people did in the last few and i mean for 2023 exams thnx
I think that's the right way to do it. Showing that you know when you need to use which equation from a situation shows a lot more than simply remembering it, and being basically given the answer if you remember it
the equation sheet that was provided for GCSE physics in the old spec was actually useless, wether or not I had the formula sheet at the time would have not made any difference to my grades.
hello sir , just wanted to check ,did u receive any strikes from yt lately?? some igcse channels have got those and im worried yours got one too! you are one of the few people who are carrying the physics community !
If an object moved upwards and continued to move it gained both but if it only moved upwards and then stopped then kinetic energy was transferred into (gravitational) potential energy
Why would ofqual give students all the formulas the whole point is to learn and apply them to situations in the exam paper if the student doesn't know the formula then you would know that they won't know how to use it
@@aidenwhelan3973 well if you want to get the high grades then you would dedicate more time into learning the equations once you go over the equations plenty of times they will eventually be imbedded into your long term memory so it comes down to how much time and effort you want to put into learning the equations because most people are capable of learning them but it also comes down to whether the student wants to learn them
its also why you would want to learn these early and not late so you don't stress other them another factor is just being able to maintain your knowledge to solve that just recap the equations every once in a while and just go over them
For Maths OL IGCSE Edexcel the last Exam of june 2022 was really hard compared to the last 5 Exams cuz theu announced before the Exam some of the topics that are coming but I’m really worried about the jan 2023 Exam will it be as hard as june or was it just an exception does anyone know. ? nahh bro, i dont want the formulae sheet, i already know my formulae and at grade 9 expecting to hit full marks in gcse
Wait so for Math, will we get every formula or just a select few?
they released it and there is only a select few
Only a few sadly😭
Doesn’t rlly matter tbf, did mine last year and Never looked at it once 😭
Ive done four papers so far and they have been extremely easy (computer science was hard)
Legit all of the exams have been ease

Did you do the physics in action even in London?
Yes I did - it was a great event and so good to see so many people there.
hello sir , just wanted to check ,did u receive any strikes from yt lately?? some igcse channels have got those and im worried yours got one too! you are one of the few people who are carrying the physics community !
Thanks for your concern. No strikes yet, I’ve been careful not to show any copyrighted material on my channel.
Is this also for the IGCSEs?
Is this confirmed for all exam boards?
Hi there does this apply to peasorn igcse?
Did object gain potential energy or kinetic energy if moved upward 👆. B/c it moves and it has height.
If an object moved upwards and continued to move it gained both but if it only moved upwards and then stopped then kinetic energy was transferred into (gravitational) potential energy
GPE increases and KE decreases. When the object falls back downward, it's the opposite.
Why would ofqual give students all the formulas the whole point is to learn and apply them to situations in the exam paper if the student doesn't know the formula then you would know that they won't know how to use it
Many people know how to use formulas without memorising them such as I, because we have used them before.
There’s like 50 to learn or some ridiculous number learning that alone is a big hurdle , let alone all the knowledge .
@@aidenwhelan3973 exactly this is barely an exaggeration. If there were like 10-20 equations it wouldnt be nearly as difficult.
@@aidenwhelan3973 well if you want to get the high grades then you would dedicate more time into learning the equations once you go over the equations plenty of times they will eventually be imbedded into your long term memory so it comes down to how much time and effort you want to put into learning the equations because most people are capable of learning them but it also comes down to whether the student wants to learn them

but on the aqa youtube channel they just said the boundaries will be set easier ???!
They may be more lenient with marking, but roughly the same proportion of students will receive each grade as in pre 2019 levels.

@@Ali-o9g4b yes I if I could know the GB is high or low only for my peace of mind that would be much better lol
Due to not having advanced information and being the first time the grades are returning to normal is it plausible they will be lower than 2019?

I believe it does as well
