  • Thin Gold Band Solitaire vs Pave | Oval Diamond Ratio and Carat Size Comparison
    Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Everyone!
    Watch today's video all the way through! In today’s episode, we are featuring 4 of our Signature styles side by side, comparing different diamond ratios and carat sizes for you guys. This is definitely one of the most requested videos...so let's dive in! Which one is your favorite and why? Let me know in the comments ;)
    #bybonniejewelry #diamond #ovaldiamond #diamondearrings #oval #ovalcut #diamondcomparison #onhandcomparison #signature #pave #solitaire #tulipbasket
    Pointer #1: Why two-tone? The two-tone design with platinum prongs helps your center stone appear as white as possible. Remember, the color of the prongs will reflect on the diamond. If you’re investing in a colorless or near colorless stone, be sure to consider these small details.
    Pointer #2: For ovals, you want them to be well balanced. Overall ratio, bow-tie, measurements, depth etc. But at the end of the day, the way the diamond actually sparkles in real life is the most important, despite what the report might say!
    Pointer #3: With oval cut Diamonds, we try to minimize the overall “bow-tie” effect. Due to the nature of elongated shaped diamonds, and the way light reflects and passes through them, you won’t be able to completely avoid it!
    Let me know what you guys thought of this week’s video and leave a comment to let me know what I should talk about next!

    For those of us who are extremely fussy and detail conscious, partnering with an equally detail oriented, knowledgeable and skilled jeweller is SO important. I don’t know Bonnie at all, have not purchased anything from her and am not shilling for her but I know quality work when I see it. 👏

    Hi Bonnie. Really appreciate the educational content of your videos plus, of course, the beautiful diamonds. Question: are your settings cast or made with individual pieces of gold/platinum?

    Would you please show more videos about princess cut? I’d love to see solitaire with different types of prongs. And with and without pave bands and any other variations.

    Bonnie can you talk to us about elongated cushion cut? It’s one I’m drawn to but harder to come across

    Love the north south tulip prongs. And especially love a detail minded jeweler - I would love to work with you on an e-ring in the upcoming months. Do you ever work with clients who already have their center stone (loose)?

  • @donnadrane4977
    @donnadrane4977 2 роки тому +2

    The north south makes the stone look more elongated. Although I would venture a guess that the other setting is safer for the stone?

    Enjoy your work. Thank you! My question is “is a higher profile more flattering on most hands?” I always end up with high profile.

    Hi Bonnie!! I know this video might be too old for you to respond to comments still, but I’m hoping you’ll help me out! I LOVE the peekaboo, but I don’t like North South prongs. Is it IMPOSSIBLE to do peekaboo on classic prongs?? Just asking so I can see whether there’s still hope or if I should let this design element go from my dream ring

    How do you limit the bow tie effect? Is that due to the aspect ratio? Does it have to do with depth/the table? Goooorgeous rings I want them all 😍😂

      White gold pave’. So classic and it makes your diamond look so colorless.

      Mine is a gold solitaire and i love it! Very classic. What i had in mind and what i would give you as advice is to think about wearing the ring when you’re 70. Would you still like the pave of would you go for a solitair. That made me chose for a gold solitaire x

    Can you measure face up size by ratio?

    • @ByBonnieJewelry
      @ByBonnieJewelry  Рік тому

      To more accurately find the ratio of a diamond, you can divide the diamond's length by its width. -Team By Bonnie 💎
