Es ist toal schön endlich mal eine Deutsche zu sehen, die genau denselben Stress durchgemacht hat. Ich bin gerade dabei, mich zu bewerben und darf morgen nach Prag fahren (Ich wohne in Dresden), weil es näher ist als die deutschen test centres... Aber dein Video hat schon enmal total geholfen.
Aber ich möchte dir erstmal gratulieren, dass du es geschafft hast! Das ist total beeondruckend. Vor allem bei den schrecklichen Quoten bei PPE.

THANKYOUU SO MUCH, this was SOOO informative, since I live in the middle East it's really hard for me to attend Oxford since my school doesn't provide IB,EB and MOCS which are qualifications to get into Oxford, our system here is almost like yours in Germany I only take biology, chemistry, physics, math and history soo that gave me hope that I can do it THANKYOU so much for this video you don't understand how much u helped me 🤍🤍

(Habe mal gehört, dass es ein Vorteil für Personal Statement oder generell ist) Oder hast du viele Studium relevante Praktiken im Gymnasium gemacht? Wann hattest du schon angefangen zu planen? Thank you! I watched some videos on youtube with tips for the TSA but yes, my main preparation was doing past papers. I tried to get the underlying concept of the questions. There are only a few different kind of questions (just the content is new in every test) and as soon as you get the structure of them, you can answer them faster.

I did the German Abitur and my main subjects were Maths, German, English, Biology, and Music:)
German grade point system is different really! Can you please define it in percentage of mark?
This video was so informative and helpful. I'm 15 now but am interested in applying for PPE in a couple years. If there is any advice you have for extra-curricular clubs I should do that would be incredible.
Thanks! I don't have any specific advice, but Oxford puts more focus on extracurricular things that relate to the subject you're applying for. But this could be anything from political activism, math competitions, or just anything in which critical thinking etc. is involved. Do what is fun for you, and not just because it may look good on your CV!

Hey, I didn’t do IB but the German „Abitur“, so I can’t help you too much. In Germany you have to take a broad range of subjects which was quite good because my main subjects (Maths, German, Biology, English, Music) did mostly not really match with PPE
Obviously Philosophy, Politics, and Economics are helpful (although definitely not necessary, you’ll be totally fine without having studied them) and maths is a good idea for economics.

Hey, ich finde dein Video super und hätte eine Frage unzwar reicht ein Allgemeines Abitur aus um sich zu bewerben, falls ja weißt du vlt welchen Durchschnitt man braucht ☺️
Hatte auch das ganze normale Abitur. Der Schnitt hängt von der Uni und dem Studiengang ab; für PPE in Oxford braucht man 1,3 oder besser

How did you submit your 11th year grades? I'm currently in the 12th year and can only add qualifications like the Abitur. Your videos are very helpful btw :)
Nachdem du Abitur ausgewählt hast, kannst du "module details" oder was ähnliches angeben (weiß leider nicht mehr, wo genau das zu finden ist). Da alle Fächer, die du in der 11. und 12. hattest/hast angeben, am besten jede Halbjahresnote extra. Am Ende hast du dann eine ewig lange Liste, aber es ist am besten, so viele Infos wie möglich anzugeben (also alle Zeugnisnoten).

Hallo, ich bin zurzeit in der 11. Klasse und habe auch vor, mich während der 12. also nach der 11 zu bewerben. Meine Frage ist, welcher Lehrer die “prediction” quasi unterschreiben muss? Also kann es jeder beliebiger Lehrer sein oder ein bestimmter?
Der Lehrer, der die Referenz hochlädt, wird auch nach dem predicted Abischnitt gefragt. Ich habe meiner Lehrerin einfach gesagt, welchen Abischnitt ich vermutlich erreichen werde, und sie hat den dann eingetragen (da sie ja nicht alle meine Noten kannte).

How did you learn to speak english that well? Just school??
Watching English movies/series, and reading English books helps of course. Through an exchange, I spent three weeks in the US and kept in touch with my host family, which may have helped. But mainly it was in school, yes.

Ne, überhaupt nicht! Eigentlich geben dir die alle Fakten, die du wissen musst, und das geht es nur darum, was du damit machst, wie du denkst und so. Die möchten schon sehen, dass du dich damit (gerne) beschäftigst, aber geht nicht um vorhandenes Wissen:)

Hallo, ich komme ebenfalls aus der Nähe von Stuttgart und gehe derzeit in die 9. Klasse Gymnasium. Ich würde ebenfalls gerne zur Oxford Universität gehen und Belege derzeit die IB AG an meiner Schule, da es bilinguale Kurse nur durch diese AG und leider erst ab der Oberstufe gibt (und dann auch nur Bio und Geschichte).
Ich bin eine der Klassenbesten was englisch betrifft und interessiere mich sehr für diese Sprache. Trotzdem ist es "nur" Schulenglisch und die Studiengänge sind ja logischerweise auf englisch. Würdest du sagen, dass es für dich schwierig war sich in Oxford einzufinden mit der neuen Sprache bzw verstehst du alles und kannst flüssig antworten (auf Englisch logischerweise).

Hey!! Sorry für die späte Nachricht! Mach dir da mal nicht zu viele Gedanken. Es hört sich so an, als kannst du echt schon super Englisch. Und allgemein würde ich sagen, dass das Englisch, das man bis zum Abi bei uns an den Schulen lernt, gut ausreicht. Ja, am Anfang braucht es schon seine Zeit, bis man sich an das viele Sprechen und Lesen gewöhnt, aber da findet man sich mit der Zeit rein. Und Fehler machen, nachfragen, Wörter nachschauen gehört dazu. Aber bin zuversichtlich, dass dein Schulenglisch dir eine super Grundlage liefert:)
Und wie viel kostet ein PPE Studiengang als international? :))
Als Student aus der EU normalerweise (bzw bisher) ca £9.000/Jahr, für andere internationals (nicht-EU) £27.000/Jahr. Bin mir gerade aber nicht sicher, wie sich das nach Brexit für zukünftige Jahrgänge ändert, Google sollte aber helfen können:)

Kann ich verstehen, aber im Moment weiß niemand so richtig, was sich genau ändert. Wenn du 2020 (vielleicht auch 2021) anfängst zu studieren, ändert sich an den Studiengebühren zum Glück nichts für EU Studenten. Ob danach die international fees gelten, ist glaube ich noch nicht klar. Insgesamt würde ich mir aber nicht zu große Sorgen machen! Ich denke, für uns Studenten wird sich nicht all zu viel dramatisch ändern.
Did you have to solve mathematic tasks in the interview?
Some people do (e.g. sketch a graph), I didn't have to. There were mathematical questions, but more about mathematical concepts than concrete calculating.
Regent Park College is a low tier college. She is no big deal.
