I’m so excited and nervous to be moving to Oxford in October, it’s gonna be a new start full of new challenges, lessons and long lasted memories.

Hey, Nada you may not remember me but I text you when you got accept into Oxford University and I reply in caps lol. Because I was born deaf, exams are really hard for me. I got recently got my GCSE results. I have 3 6s, 4 Cs and I got unfortunately got 3 3s in R.S, History and D.T. which is very sad but I’m proud of my work I have achieved. Over 70% of deaf people in UK fail GCSE in 2022. I watch your videos every time and it teach me how to get better grades. I try my hardest and I want to say thank you Nada for helping me. You are my inspirational plus teacher to me. Good luck at Oxford University

Thanks for this! I'm applying this year for experimental psychology, currently predicted A*AA which meets the requirements but gonna try to get it up to A*A*A
GCSE GRADES are not as important as A levels. You can get away with 8’s and 7’s. It will be your predicted A level grades, personal statement, and if you get through to the interview, then that will be the decider. My son only had one interview fortunately. He had no mock interviews. He was just himself at the interview. Talk confidently, think out loud, and be yourself. Don’t try to waffle nonense because they will know whether you’re fake or genuine. My son is so laid back, had no expectations, all he did was tried his best. If that was not enough then so be it. He was predicted A* A* A and B in EPQ. He was offered 3 As to read history at Merton, he got 3 A* and an A in EPQ.
Exactly you don’t need all 9s to go to Oxford they care so much more about your application and your interview/entrance exams and your end of year 12 predicted grades

Hi! I’m only in year 8 and I’m already wanting to strive for Oxford. I’m starting to prepare now 😂. My scores in English are already a grade seven so I have to keep that going - but I need to work so hard in science as that is my weakest subject.
Bro take a chill pill. Jus saying. Year 8 and 9 is the last time you can enjoy life without many exams or any sort of pressure. So like quite revising and go out.

Hey, congrats for your admission In Oxford. It really isn't a simple task getting into such a reputed university. Really hats off to you for that. Just wanted to ask you that all the research work you did was that on your own or did you have a mentor or were with an institution and under their guidance you did it? Because after seeing your video what I can see is all the research work you have done with the notes and all was all by yourself as you mentioned by hearing podcasts, reading books etc. Is it what I think or?
I did do it all by myself yes it’s supposed to be independent research

No it’s a British university sats are not required I don’t think but ask around because I’m not sure :)

Hello! Congractulations on your admission! What are some things you did in grade 9 to help your appkication?
I started doing things for my application a year before I applied :) so in the U.K. that’s the equivalent of year 12

Just wanted to say this was helpful but I’ve just become interested in doing law and I haven’t done any activities or competitions for it but I’m going to be looking at a virtual lecture and watching UA-cam videos could I put that into my personal statement as I’m stuck and I did work experience in a school so should I just put that 👍

Do you have to work at a job in the same environment as your future profession? E.g hospital or can you work anywhere? Like I think it would be nice if I worked/volunteered at my old primary skl bcs I love kids - would that be a good idea?

Quick question: when do schools generally predict a level grades and do these change? Bcs im imagining that they don’t use your year 12 mocks at the start of the year, right?
They can change if you give them a reason to change
Yh of course not they use big mocks and end of yr stuff but they want to see progress/consistency

Hi, am curious for Oxford how important are GCSE's grades for Oxford? For example, if you don't have all 9s but have 7,8,9s is that enough if your personal statement and entrance exam is good?

Hi Im planning on applying to oxford for maths and comp sci. Most of my research for maths has been really abstract, like complex analysis,group theory. Vector/multivariant calculus is the only thing which really has a real world usage(neural networking + ties in with comp sci). Im not sure howd I'd be able to show their applications in the real world. Do you think its really that important in my case?

When you choose to apply to uni with your teachers reference it gets sent at the same time

And start your reading from the beginning of yr 12 and enjoy reading your subject outside a levels

Do the grades you get at gcses determine which uni you'll get into or do gcse grades do not matter as alevels are the real deal? I was just wondering if there is a specific requirement for unis like Cambridge and Oxford in terms of gcse grades.

Sis I have 2 questions for you.
1. How can I get scholarship in UK and how much expenses I would need to bear living in UK for studies even if I got scholarship.
2. I have got 4a's in AS (Alhamdullilah) and mine teachers would surely send my predicted grades as 4A* but if unfortunately I don't get 4A*s in reality what will university do if they have already selected me.

I started revision really late so got 9999888776 and possibly 1 more 9, but unfortunately I got a 7 in English language, would this hinder my chances of getting into Oxford who put a lot of emphasis on GCSEs, especially medicine, worst thing is that I thought I did so well in English.
