this is THE BEST explanation I was able to find on how to hook up my Soclean. thank you for doing this video! I clearly understood everything and now I feel confident that I have it setup right. thank you!
Thank you for the demonstration. It was very thorough and in layman's terms. I've had my machine for a while and I was so glad to find your video. Again thank you so much.
Best Demo I've seen of the SoClean2 and DreamStation. It's kind of shocking that the manufacturer of SoClean2 can't put out as comprehensive a video. One question for clarification, in regard to the thin black tubing that goes into the water tank: does that tubing need to connect to anything or point in a particular direction? Thanks!
any comment of Philips recall stating that ozone generators cause the sound damping foam in the cpap machines to break up into tiny particles that then get forced into the sinus and lungs causing "Irritation (skin, eye, and respiratory tract), inflammatory response, headache, asthma, adverse effects to other organs (e.g. kidneys and liver) and toxic carcinogenic affects"
Thank you so much, I have had my SoClean for several months now but had yet to hook it up. When I pulled everything out of the box it was so confusing to me.
My cpap uses distilled water in the reservoir. I have noticed that the tubing does get warm. Does it need to be dry to use the soclean. My cpap looks just like yours because my tubing has the connection that clicks into the main machine.
The SoClean will sanitize the water chamber as it cleans everything else. It is important to pour only distilled water in the chamber. That continued process will keep it clean, anyway.
No, but check the SoClean clear tubing for moisture that may enter the SoClean housing. Moisture in the SoClean housing will diminish the ozone cleaning effects.
Thank you for the demonstration very helpful, I just have a question is it ok to leave it all day after is done cleaning inside the cleaning machine since my husband have it set up for 9am and we don’t get back home until 6pm?
I have been considering getting this. However I do not use my humidifier and do not have my water chamber hooked up to my cpap which is a Dreamstation. Does that mean I cannot use the soclean 2?
@@sassysoul3764 Thank you for watching our video. You do need a humidifier/water chamber to use the So Clean cpap cleaner. We offer other cleaners, however, that do not hook up the same way but clean using the same method. We would love to discuss your options with you. Give us a call at 952-920-0460.
My mask Is attached to an elbow that kinda looks like it has two flaps for one way flow I think my question is should I take that elbow out and put it in there separately or does the flow go into the machine through the breathing tubing
Casey Starkey - Thank you for viewing the video. Depending on the cpap machines, you may need an adaptor for each. You can definitely use the same So Clean in each, if needed.
Do not use the SoClean machine on any CPAP! It will destroy the internals. Takes about 6 mos to a year then you’ll be left to buy another $1k machine and SoClean won’t give you a cent to help out. My Airsense 10 was ruined by this POS O3 machine. It literally turned the turbine and other plastic parts into a sticky mess and disintegrated all the foam. Just imagine what went into my lungs as a result.

Right now Philips company has sent out a letter recalling all the Cpap machines that have been using the So Clean unit. It seems the ionization causes the foam in the Cpap machines to break down and the user will breathe in parts of the foam into your lungs.
Two. questions. Just ran mine for the first time and it was really noisy. Any suggestions. Also, is there a trick to getting that spacer to sit in there snuggly? Thanks!
Great questions! Thank you for watching our video. As far as the sound, it will give you some white noise while the motor is running. That is normal. The spacer just sits in the slot. It does not "snap" in. I hope this is helpful!
I set up and used mine for the first time last night. For some reason the lights start off in RED and the so clean runs...after only 2 or 3 min the so clean shuts off and the lights are now ORANGE. It never turns GREEN for me. I thought it was because it was my first time using. But tried it again and it did the same thing. having never Turning Green! anybody know what I am doing wrong?
This machine works fine when it works correctly. I've gone through 3 of these machines so far. The problem is the hinge that closes this machine keeps breaking. So I would suggest you not buy this unless they fix the problem. Should have had a recall for this product.
Thank you for watching our instructional video. I'm sorry you have had a problem with your So Clean. It seems to work well enough, but it is plastic, and like with ALL plastic parts, they are subject to breaking. And that IS what happened to mine. I have babied mine, been very careful with it, I have been gentle with it and low and behold the plastic tab that slides into the locking mechanism broke. It's a POOR design, very poor. The locking tab is JUST a little piece of plastic. I contacted SoClean two times, and their answer was to pay $200 for a replacement unit. All I need is a replacement lid. I wanted to buy two lids because the design is so bad that I have no doubt this will not happen again. They told me NO, that they were not interested. I asked if I could buy two replacement lids from returned units, that I would be cool with that, and they said NO that they were not interested. That plastic tab locking mechanism is a POOR design and SoClean is not being cool about offering a remedy. I am very upset with SoClean. It's the way customer service is going these days. Just pathetic !!!

This just made the setup extremely easy!!! Much easier than the manual makes it seem!! Thank you so much !!!
Kristin, thank you for the demonstraion, it is very helpful.
I know that this was done back in November of 2018, but it is one of the most complete and easiest to follow.

Do you empty the water chamber before running the soclean?
I have the same question...
Me too have same question

Thank you because I got this for my aunt’s fiancé.

Does the water chamber need to be empty?

Estella Parker Thank you for watching the video. It is okay to run your So Clean with water still in the water chamber. It will not hurt anything.
Do you have to clean the water chamber too? The part that you fill up nightly
The SoClean will sanitize the water chamber as it cleans everything else. It is important to pour only distilled water in the chamber. That continued process will keep it clean, anyway.
D John Young thank you. Seems like the soclean is worth the money
Thank You....Kept the tutorial very simple and understandable....
Best demonstration! Thanks! 🙂👍
Does the water chamber have to be dry when the SoClean is in use?
Wish I knew

I keep it dry. Since I replace water every night I dry the reservoir then run so clean. Comes out great

Thanks, video well done, beats reading the manual.
As of February 1, 2020, ResMed has indicated that ozone damage will void the CPAP manufacturer's warranty. Therefore, it .
Where do you get the heated tubing adapter? What's the part number?
My mask Is attached to an elbow that kinda looks like it has two flaps for one way flow I think my question is should I take that elbow out and put it in there separately or does the flow go into the machine through the breathing tubing
Do you empty the reservoir water before the cleaning cycle? not clear on this
My husband and I both have a Cpap machine. Can I buy one SoClean and use it to clean BOTH Cpap's?
Casey Starkey - Thank you for viewing the video. Depending on the cpap machines, you may need an adaptor for each. You can definitely use the same So Clean in each, if needed.
How do I plug it in if I don't use a water chamber? Also, is it compatible with all masks. I have the Res Med Airfit p10

Do you empty the water chamber or can the water stay in there.
I would like to know if when starting the soclean machine should the water reservoir be full of empty.

Why is the special lid for the humidifier water container turning light green?
Where does the other end of the black tubing go?
Wow 👏.... I'm buying one today!!
Just got this and it leaves a terrible odors I can’t even use it it’s so bad can someone please tell me what I’m doing wrong ?
wonderful, thank god I've a few friends in Canada who can bring it to Pakistan. No one with whom I've discussed abt sleep apnea has any clue abt it.
can you clean washable face masks in the so clean
When I used the adapter the long skinny tube that’s attached to the machine doesn’t fit through the hole of the adapter
Thank you
What if I don’t use the water camber?
Whare can I get the cleaner can I get addition help for setting this machine up with my air 10 mask
Jeannie Tauzel, I bought it thru So Clean. It’s pricey but with an additional $100 you get the second one. I gave it to my mom.
What if you still have water in the CPAP bowl?
I am sorry for the delayed reply. It is okay to run your So Clean with water still in the water chamber of your cpap.
Once you change the filter and hose connection. How do I reset it with the new filter
Gail D. DeVine there is a button you pressed down there and it will reset.
Females are way better in communicating the instructions! Thankyou!

Does the reservoir need to be empty of water when the SoClean runs?
Do you need to empty the distilled water or leave the same water in the cpap machine?
