the shows are still being aired on TV, in Japan and has never stopped being the case. they only played them in america on tv blocks like Toonami, and Toonami still exists and still plays anime.
I like Cowboy Bebop but haven't seen anything else. Is that a one of a kind type show? I'd like anime without the schoolgirls and tentacled monster stuff, the animation is incredible.
I've only read the manga but if you want a more mature anime you might like monster by naoki urasawa. Not as lighthearted as CBBB but the manga had great tension
