I took a small break from my caregiving duties and didn't go grocery shopping with my mom. She came back from the store and I helped her unload the groceries, but she sat a bag with meat and eggs in an area I normally don't put groceries and so it was left in the car overnight. When I don't help out, things go awry.

I'm sorry. I have to laugh. Has anyone in this channel actually been the sole caregiver? I feel most of these channels don't understand the despair we suffer.

I with you all the way. At this moment exactly 2am I feel completely lost, depressed, angry and anxious....I have been taking care of my mom since I was 28 and now I'm 40 and feel like I have no freaking life. People don't see our cases as harmful but claim us as heroes and it's like, thanks for the compliment.....BUT I NEED SOME F#_&ING HELP.....

It's brutal. My mom is 91 and my MIL is 89. I'm it. One has dementia and one has a litany of physical problems.

I totally agree with you all...
The stress and abuse of your loved ones...chip away at you.😢
While holding down a full-time job and being a parent.😔

If my dad were nice and said thank you it would mean the world to me. I think he honestly doesn’t like me as a person because I’m gay and not a Christian like him.

I'm sorry to hear that! Carefiving is difficult, especially if your caring for someone who doesn't like you. You may not know it, but you are doing the Lord's work b/c he was a server and served others who did not like him either. I will be praying for you and your dad! If you have any other stress or concerns, don't hesitate to call upon the Lord himself! God Bless!
