Subscribed 👍 I am very surprised that additional items are not included in the Sanctuary DR. It has replaced the Reserve collection, and this did have additional items. Plus service at table concept, etc
Thanks for the sub Irish! I won’t swear the plating-at-table no longer happens, as we ate in the Sanctuary restaurant very little. With the unlimited speciality dining included, the relevance of the suite dining room - for us at least - is greatly reduced. Maybe other cruisers can verify their experience of the Sanctuary dining vs the main dining room?
We're on the Sun Princess in May, going from Rome to Athens. I originally had booked a cove balcony with the Plus package, but then discovered I could upgrade to a Sanctuary Balcony for just $500/pp for the week. The upgrade from Plus to Premier is worth $210 alone, so it was a no-brainer. Having exclusive access to the Sanctuary Club is another great perk, no kids or crowds to deal with around the pool. I agree it's not a true "ship within a ship" concept, but still is very nice. We may try MSC Yacht Club in the future for a more elegant experience.
DYNASTY Reference!!! Hoorah. Alexis would approve - and I bet the Champagne wouldn't be burned either? Great video again - lots of great info and a good nosey around the sanctuary club and signature lounge.
I immediately thought of you when we mentioned Alexis!! 🤣 Thanks so much for watching! And glad it’s useful - I still can’t believe we bickered over crockery hahaha (it’s a mug!) ❤️
Lots of really useful information, great video! :) We are trying to consider the value that the sanctuary lounge provides, in terms of choosing between a full suite vs a sanctuary mini suite. Do you think you could have coped without the lounge if you still had the other sanctuary benefits?
Hey, We're so happy you found the video useful. For us the lounge was one of the few 'quiet' places on the ship, which is perfect if you want that kind of environment. In saying that, the first half of the cruise we didn't spend that much time in there due to the good weather, but as we got closer to the UK and it got colder, the Lounge became a place to read and play cards in the afternoons. One way to calculate the value of the space may be to look at the daily rate for a Sanctuary Mini-Suite and compare that to a full suite and ask if you think the additional perks (inc. Laundry, Concierge etc) warrants the difference in cost. I have no doubt that whatever you decide, you'll have a wonderful time!
Hey! We are so excited to be travelling on MSC Seascape. We are going to half a dozen Caribbean islands and MSC's private island - The ship looks fantastic and everyone speaks very highly of the YC - We've got 8 videos planned and they should be out from late March :)
Hey! Thanks for watching our video :) -- When we sailed in September 2024, there was an abundance of loungers, and there was no problem finding one, I think on one of the days, there was only a dozen or so people there. However the itinerary was very port heavy, so a lot of people were off the ship. So that may be something you'd want to consider.
Hey, we sailed in September 2024 and can confirm that it was included and if you check the website now, it's still part of the Sanctuary collection. I can't attest as to whether it was included before we sailed on Sun Princess. Here's the link: www.princess.com/en-uk/ships-and-experience/onboard-experience/sanctuary-collection

Sounds like a great upgrade, hope you have a terrific cruise!

What is your MSC YC itinerary for March?
Will be looking forward to seeing your thoughts.

Are there enough loungers for all guests booked in sanctuary cabins or is it like regular deck and you have to fight for one

We sailed the first week in December. All lounges were taken on sea days and all the regular seating was full at around noon.
We are sailing November 2025. We are told the Premier package is not part of the Sanctuary Full Suite amenities. I guess this changed.

We are sailing the same, and it's included. Sanctuary collection automatically gives Premier package 👍😊
The music is too load in the sanctuary club. Between the loud music and the loud people drinking at the bar made it seem like a nightclub.
So sorry this was your experience. Just shows how different each sailing can be sometimes
