Hikvision have abandoned a scheme of factory-setting a default password for their devices for some years now, and requires us to create a unique password every time as we activate a new camera or recorder. Of course that was a right move, considering how easy it is to bypass a default password and get into your system owing to a common user's inattention. And though we are used with a regular password reset procedures on a various sources, when they are just emailing you a password reset link, here with a middle and high-end CCTV equipment it goes a bit differently.

I have a ds-2ce72hft colorvu camera (bnc) and I’ve stupidly set the internal resolution to 4mp30, now my dvr gives no signal and I can’t reset the camera as I can’t access is osd. It also doesn’t have a reset button. Is there anything I can do?

I recently upgraded my firmware to NVR 4.0. Now I am locked out and cannot input my user name. Also the system is indicating my password is not correct. I did try my old password, and I upgraded the password, but the system still indicated the password is incorrect. Please advise if you can help. Thanks.

With switch box and some people Have son introduced using rg45 cable I tried but not working may be my issue..... so how ever can you explain please....

Please give the solution, one of d customer he added the dvr to hik account and he forgot the account details, he don't know the details, n he selected the wrong country while creating account, n he tried tried n just to hide it, he deleted the account also now. Please help what I should do to add that dvr, whenever I tried it shows device already added, n wen I try to unbind, it shows u r in different area.
