I prefer the none mic sound on the toms, yet the buzz from the cymbals and the low snare are a problem. with the mics on the toms kinda loses their natural sound
Mics are hard to setup and fix the lag, but give the toms a very full, soft, and warm sound, , not to mention the kick sounds better too NO mics seem to have more attack, and have no lags at all(depending on the camera), and also gove more of an actual sound, and natural sound, but the floor toms sound dead, and audio leveling can be a problem, not to mentions sometimes the cymbals pierce through the actual level... Mics win for the toms
btw there's this thing called "genius" and it's a $140 HD camcorder that takes stills (unlike the flip). Unless your looking at one that's more expensive
4x Shure SM57 - $100 each Shure Beta 52A - $190 but it came with a mic pac with 3 sm57s for i think $400 total - good deal Shure Beta 87A - $250, don't get for an overhead though invest in a pair
chris alder? man that's a 14" snare i have and his is 12". But if you say so. Anyway the SM57s are 100 each and i have 4 of those and the SM58 is 100. the Beta52 (kick) goes for 190 but it came with the mic kit i got so i got it for 100. overhead is a beta 87A which goes for 250.
i like your drum solo man! thanks for the tips for my 35 seconds of playing that completely sums up my style of drumming
I like it better with mics. What mixer do you use?
because youtube messed up the sync and/or i messed up the sync
yeah i was gonna say, it sounds a bit like chris adlers snare, which is a sick sound.
how much did ure mics cost btw?
NO MICS is the winner

mics sound cool if youre a jazz player or funk that likes clean playing but i kinda like no mics they sound like ooooh shiiit here it comes hahaha!
NO MICS DUDE
i'm using an overhead yes but it's not just for the cymbals for the whole kit overall
do you just connect ur mics to ur mixer than into ur computer?
what mics are those and how much?
i started off self taught then (for reasons i cannot remember) i started taking lessons. how old are you?
no mics
Why is the sound delayed when you use mics?
MICS!!! \m/x_x\m/ even in snare.
