@@gamerboy123f4 it might damage some components, more commonly the gpu (and oldschool consoles have gpus intergrated into the cpu so the cpu might fail), but it might also corrupt the rom, which is very unlikely to happen with overheating, so you might need a cpu replacement if you push it too far, but otherwise please dont let your consoles overheat
Hey there! Let me give you a bit of constructive criticism. Overall, good job! Using the red screen from the anti-piracy/disc error was a good choice. It would be realistic in that sense. However, a common problem a lot of these kill screens have arises: The font is wrong. I know it's probably a massive pain to get the right font and seems small, but it could go a long way. Also, the overall distortions throughout the video could use a bit of tuning up. There's no reason for the text to turn red, instead of just lowering the tone you could make the sounds more glitchy, and choppy, etc But like I said: Fantastic job overall.
Once again, as I have mentioned to literally 20+ people, I forgot the font as this was rushed to get finished. I later use this font type in a PS3 version of it. I also plan to make other console KillScreens and eventually start making Anti-Piracy screens as well :) Sounds, I also rushed to get finished, so yeah, I completely understand.
as a programmer, and hardware a little bit, i can confirm that if a console overheats, the software should just prevent startup and give a lod
