Chinchilla! I currently have 12 in my house. Only 2 are technically mine, the other 10 are fosters, although about 8 of those are long term or permanent fosters since they have health issues. We’re unofficially the “dental house” for California Chins Rescue here in the SF Bay Area. Some chins have teeth that grow too long too fast and have to be trimmed every 4-6 weeks, which is an expense a lot of pet owners can’t afford, but the rescue pays for us to take them. Anyway, I’ll stop now before I end up writing an entire novel in your comments, lol
I've been a supporters of yours for awhile now and haven't really commented before but I wanted to say zines of your sketchbook pages would be amazing! Your sketchbooks are so aesthetically pleasing and motivated me to try to fill up my sketchbooks as well!

Eek I love this style of video! I'm currently a bit scared to start my new sketchbook because it's a Stillman and Birn sketchbook (I was actually inspired by Victoria Gedvillas to get it) and it was pretty expensive. I will say that your top three is spot on with mine (you're in my top five with imawonder though :D)
I also have a S&B sketchbook that I have yet to start 🙈 I hope you get the courage to start working in your own!! and I am honored to be so high in your list of art channels 😭💖

I have a hardcover beta series that I purchased for myself, and a softcover delta that was gifted to me. the delta is a weird size (longer in width than height) so it'll take me a while to get around to it (it's still plastic wrapped lmao) but I'm really excited to work in the beta sketchbook!! the paper is so so thick and has a lovely texture,,, really looking forward to trying it out!
@@tirameowsu ooo! I actually might get either the beta or a Moleskine for my next sketchbook because I've really been crushing on bound sketchbooks after your illo sketchbook flip through. On the flip side, I'm actually really interested in trying the kind of size the delta is, I think it'll give me an opportunity to be creative with space :D
@@person5564 I've never tried a moleskine but just from touching the paper, the beta would work amazing for any kind of wet media!! I've been in love with bound sketchbooks since I got my first one - I haven't used a spiral since 😂 I was gifted a mossery sketchbook for Christmas though so it'll be a learning curve to adjust to the spiral there once I start working in it haha.

Not sure if you or anyone cares, but watching you create beautiful and aesthetically pleasing art really inspires me to work on my own art. Because of your sketchbook videos I was motivated enough to work on my own sketchbooks and even tho it took me almost a year, I'm finally almost finished with it. Great video as always! Thanks so so much for answering all of my questions - I thought I would be lucky if you answered just one of them! Your answers were really well thought out, and I found your responses to be highly relatable. In particular, when I was posting videos regularly, I made a point to try out different products and art styles on my channel. But, I would often weirdly feel an internal pressure to develop a consistent style too. I eventually realised that my style was dependent on the medium I was using, my mood, the time I had available etc. It's hard to explain it briefly. But I did want to say that one of the reasons I really enjoy your videos is that you often try out new styles and media, while also refining and developing an interesting style in your preferred mediums of watercolours and markers. It's really fascinating to me, maybe because I can relate to your system of creation and exploration? Anyway, in short, I love that you have a couple of core styles but you aren't afraid to try out new things too! And thanks again for sharing your art with us here :)

I completely understand feeling pressure to conform to a certain style to maintain the "quality" of art that people are used to seeing from you. thankfully it hasn't impacted me too much when it comes to person work, as I consider style to be immensely fluid, and maintaining a certain "art style" has never really been of interest to me. that being said,, doing Patreon artworks and pieces that I intend to sell has easily changed that for me,,,, but I try not to get too wrapped up in it, since in the end all it does it prevent me from making art, which is the whole point! thank you for the sweet comment (and again, the wonderful questions!!)
