One thing I love about this series is it feels like you're an archeologist of some kind. Since the original builders aren't there to explain everything, you have to decide what everything does and things like that, giving the reviews a new dimension
i made the 7th realm, whole thing is in legit survival. i got gold using the gold farm which was the contraption you mentioned not understanding, and the walls look suspiciously mined because i’m a perfectionist about it

Hey toycat, Koolniss2737 here. The owner of the realm actually added crafting recipes for the nether reactor core! He added many custom recipies, and that's one of them. ALso yes, I agree birch is the best (i made the tree)

Also, I totally forgot about that green screen room I built forever ago and your goofy edits totally made that dumb build worth it. 🤣 You're completely accurate about my obsession with nature and it's true that a lot of my builds were literally just me building a thing when I had time during breaks at work.
Your realm was my favorite- I loved your style of integrating your buildings with the natural landscape! Jungles and lush caves are two of my favorite biomes too, I think they're so pretty, so seeing the moss and vines and everything all over your world made my brain very happy
For realm 7, I believe they recreated the village grounds from Clash of Clans. The buildings look like it, as well as using the moss to texture the field mimic how it looks in COC.
I love these reviews, it's fun to see Toycat not understand bunch of mc mechanics. Like the spruce saplings - it was a spruce farm with flowing water so it would collect the saplings and sticks after chopping down trees. Or the levers on furnace - for taking out the items from the furnaces and getting exp without having to break the furnaces.
I love the realm reviews and I’m going to submit mine for next month. On a separate note, you put a lever on a furnace so that it locks the furnace and the hopper below won’t pull the items out. This allows you to pull an item out and get whatever XP has been saved in the furnace from smelting items. You then turn it back off to operate normally.
That giant tree farm you didn't understand on realm 3 is amazing ! you plant the saplings on the 4 podsol blocks at the end of the disappearing platform. They grow and when you cut them down it collects all the wood for you and the platform disappears under the water to make sure none of the items are lost.
18:20- Toycat gives the realm a 1/10, then “upgrades” it from a 0/10 to a 1/10, then upgrades it again to a 2/10 because they said they paid their Toycat tax. It’s almost like the grading scale is completely arbitrary (I also noticed the -3, or possibly-4/10, but no 9/10 or 10/10 ratings 🤔)! 🤣
Pretty sure the first realm had corrupted nbt data since the chests were empty ans the anvil probably was supposed to be a damaged anvil thus belonging in the the D category
I disagree with your critique of too much deepslate, you can never have too much deepslate! Spruce, dark oak, and deepslate is my only build pallette 😔 lol
I actually like realm 2 the most. I'm a very big fan of technical minecraft; in my view minecraft is a game where the purpose is conquest and colonization. Redstone, farms, nether highways, all that is what I belive makes a good world. A perfect world is a world that has every possible farm, every possible location linked up via a blue ice boat nether highway, redstone powers contraptions. Efficiency comes first, design second.

I used to be the same way but recently I actually started to care more about the building aspect. You can still fit the technical part into the world but it's like a puzzle and have to figure out where it would go where it doesn't get in the way of the builds

Minecart rails used to be not placable on glass. Glass wasn’t considered a “full block” so you could not place mushrooms, torches, ladders,etc on glass, which I ~believe~ is still the case on legacy edition 1.16 at least on Xbox 360.
I love the realm reviews so much! This is definitely my favorite series. I always get so much inspiration from seeing the worlds! You should try to do one every month!

The vibe I get is he doesn't enjoy doing it cause he just does random worlds in order of how they show up on the list in the game client, and gets disappointed by what he see's but doesn't wanna cut, edit, etc the video. I would really enjoy a series from a "minecraft pro" reviewing private worlds. I think it would be a great way to document minecraft as well as inspire builders.
Second to last realm, at the end of the ice path was 100% a work in progress clash of clans base, and the gold blocks should not discredit the world from being “authentic survival” you can literally build a gold farm in less than an hour that can produce thousands of gold blocks an hour. That last world was impressive, and you can definitely tell it was made 100% in survival
I think you should do these reviews with the creators of the world so they can answer questions when u have them and make sure u don’t miss anything important

17:26 Ok, this has to be said. Toycat just because someone has a nether reactor core block in their world doesn't mean that they cheated it in. If you made it in the past you can still have it to this day (as long as you don't break it) Could mean that they're OG Pocket Edition players Now as far as the command block goes, they could've gotten it in a 1.17 update version where you could use full commands in complete survival. Also, in 1.16 there was a gravity block glitch that allowed you to get a whole ton of unobtainable/illegal blocks like red obsidian, end tiles, end portal blocks, bedrock and even all the types of command blocks etc... Can't prove that they didn't use creative or inv. Editor but I'm also gonna say that it could be survival still (with glitches)
realm 7 weirdly reminds me of homestuck. there's this huge chess battlefield called skaia in the comic and the yellow/purple themed buildings match up too (the white and black chess factions used those colors to represent themselves). however, beyond that, the stuff in the realm just seems random (adolf?!?!) it's kinda driving me crazy. it both feels intentional and like a complete accident. what were they cooking...
That’s me and my friends realm lmao, there’s a lot of things that look strange but very explainable(except the checkerboard I have no clue why my friend put hours of effort into that) the huge redstone contraption is a 4x gold farm which is why we have so much gold, the gold and nether brick tunnel next to the portal was where we kept the diamond zombie before we transported him and the weird town is supposed to be a clash of clans replica, although a lot of our builds are incomplete at the moment

It's interesting to see all these different realms ,regardless of whether it's truly survival or not .I can see how different people build different structures without being a mega world, just being a simple world being played how they want it to be played
I cant wait for another chance, i messed up so many times in trying to submit mine XD, couldnt figure out how to rename the realm. its alro really awesome seing other peoples realms to see what their inspirations are, can sometimes inspire me as well.

Great video wish I could show off my world. I had one I spent almost 4 years working on and I don't understand Redstone so everything I done was straight grind. Hate using up iron so I only use stone tools until I'm comfortable to use diamond. My neighbor is the only way I can connect to the internet and I asked him to update my stuff.....he factory reset my Xbox...all that work and time wasted. Not discouraged took almost 8 months seed surfing to find one I liked and been playing everyday since. Maybe one day the world will be ready for me to share. Until then keep on keeping on Toycat!!!
Damn my guy. I know that pain. I had a world I played on and off for 6 or more years. Eventually I stopped playing long enough it doesn't load up and generate right anymore. All kinda weird striations of air and what used to be there and such~ I had this giant castle with a small city I was building around it, so much underground mines and minecarts~ I started a new long-term survival world a few months ago in Bedrock version so no matter what I can keep the world up to date over the years, and one day in the future I'll have an even better world than the one I lost. This time I already have a villager trading hall and a skeleton exp farm which I didn't have before. I also found 2 zombie and a spider spawners, and built both a netherwart farm and a portal straight to a blaze spawner for potion making, which I never could do before . Right now I'm finishing up my starter base and building a forestry house before I try to conquer the nether by building a base and mining outposts there. I'm super looking forward to getting elytra which I've never done in solo survival before. I've never even killed the dragon so~ Lots to do lots to do~ Oh ya, I also do the same with tools xD Except I stick to using iron for wayyyyy to long "saving up" my diamonds xD Then, every single time, when I finally get around to using diamond tools I'm like "omg, this is so much better anywho.... I shoulda been doing this for a long time now"
Simspawn I enjoyed reading your reply tbh I've done nothing but solo survival I just don't have friends and I'm too broke to afford internet the closest I get is my phone and the Hotspot it provides I've played with my wife but she's not very good at cooperative game play and before I had my Xbox I had been playing on my ps3 had a world on there for a couple years but my Playstation kept corrupting my data forcing me to restart over and over. My Playstation no longer works as far as I know I don't have aux chords and a controller to find out its been gathering dust for around 6 years now with all my old games beside it one of which being minecraft. I like solo game play but I've never had a chance to play with anyone with this or any other game my friends would always choose hanging out with one another instead of me and where I grew up my 2 brothers and I were the only kids except for 2 and they all hung out together and left me alone. I've uh I've always been lonely the world and it's people has always casted me aside so I feel as though it was never meant for me to play alongside other people. Now we live in a world where if you don't have internet people give you weird looks and we can't even play a game without a download first. I miss being able to put the disk in and play. Now it's buy the system buy the game buy internet to be able to download it to play the damn thing. As lonely as I am I have no friends so I have no options. I am a stay at home father with 2 kids one newborn on Christmas and the other 15 months. My wife is going through postpartum depression and I'm taking the brunt of all of it and yet I can't just sit down and relax when I got the chance because of not being able to have internet. My wife works but the most she makes in a week is $300 we can barely afford our bills let alone luxury like having internet. In a way I'm glad people have given me a distain for people all most have done is take advantage of my kindness and throw me aside when it's done or hate me without knowing me first. I only regret not enjoying life....idk what it's like to play with someone online a Lan party or a mmo. I don't get most memes and I hate fads with a passion. I'm 26 and I've never got to experience the fun parts that people enjoy and post on UA-cam and whatnot. If I could at least for one day enjoy what everyone else seems to take for granted I would be so happy. Anyway until then I'll just do what I can on my world and maybe in the future I can afford to have internet so maybe Toycat can show off my progress for me. I look at other people's worlds and see what they accomplish but 9/10 your usually looking at a creative player or a multi-player world. I've done things that would make some of these worlds look like nothing happened on them and I'm by myself. Anyway sorry for this uh book I wrote you back and to anyone that would read this. They get annoying and eventually they either betray you or just fade away~ If you have unlimited data you can play Bedrock on your phone. It can be hard finding a good SMP though. If you can afford it your best bet is to start your own realm and make posts on social media to recruit. I ran one for a little over a year. We had to continually recruit more players but we did have a solid core group eventually.
That would be fun I did have minecraft on my phone before but after I found out nothing saved unless you bought it it turned me away. I couldn't play it on this one now bc its too broken but might re-download it when I can afford a new phone. Well that plus the money to buy the game anyway lol. And as long as I've played solo I know I'd prefer it especially since a lot of players have no respect. However the experience to where I could at least talk to other people would be nice. The only other thing I'd like to do is be on a realm with Toycat at least once to say I did. He's my favorite youtuber and I think a lot of that is because he doesn't come across like most others. He's wholesome and mostly honest and you can tell even though money from what he does is nice it's not the driving force behind it and that to me makes a huge difference.
I think mojang should make realms free cause i have worlds which i love to play with my friends and i find it hard to play in the world with them because of trouble joining worlds, getting on at similar time, getting invites, and all that stuff and with a realm i could skip out on all that stuff and have a sharable private server like world but if it costs money i dont have any so i cant pay for it, it costs loads £10 a month on one, and also my father wouldnt let me ‘waste’ my money on minecraft anyway. Also they should add java bugs to bedrock - tnt duper, nether roof building, crawling, etc…
Realm 2 he constantly says ‘if this is a survival world’ as if he doesn’t believe it is just because this dude is sort of way better at Minecraft than him.

The reason there were levers on their furnaces on realm no.8 is because you can store the xp you get from smelting by doing that. And when you flick the lever, it lets all the xp out.

I kinda liked the last world. The tower and the nature feel on top of it looks wonderful, and gave me a brilliant idea for a tower look.

I am the creator of REALM 2 the Mr frontline430, built on iPhone. The city is my main project for now. But it is 100% survival.
For realm 3, I'm pretty that was a tree farm. They chop down the wood, the drops from the leaf blocks drop to the water and collected with hoppers.

That’s me and my friends realm lmao, there’s a lot of things that look strange but very explainable(except the checkerboard I have no clue why my friend put hours of effort into that) the huge redstone contraption is a 4x gold farm which is why we have so much gold, the gold and nether brick tunnel next to the portal was where we kept the diamond zombie before we transported him and the weird town is supposed to be a clash of clans replica, although a lot of our builds are incomplete at the moment

It's interesting to see all these different realms ,regardless of whether it's truly survival or not .I can see how different people build different structures without being a mega world, just being a simple world being played how they want it to be played

Great video wish I could show off my world. I had one I spent almost 4 years working on and I don't understand Redstone so everything I done was straight grind. Hate using up iron so I only use stone tools until I'm comfortable to use diamond. My neighbor is the only way I can connect to the internet and I asked him to update my stuff.....he factory reset my Xbox...all that work and time wasted. Not discouraged took almost 8 months seed surfing to find one I liked and been playing everyday since. Maybe one day the world will be ready for me to share. Until then keep on keeping on Toycat!!!
Damn my guy. I know that pain. I had a world I played on and off for 6 or more years. Eventually I stopped playing long enough it doesn't load up and generate right anymore. All kinda weird striations of air and what used to be there and such~ I had this giant castle with a small city I was building around it, so much underground mines and minecarts~
I started a new long-term survival world a few months ago in Bedrock version so no matter what I can keep the world up to date over the years, and one day in the future I'll have an even better world than the one I lost. This time I already have a villager trading hall and a skeleton exp farm which I didn't have before. I also found 2 zombie and a spider spawners, and built both a netherwart farm and a portal straight to a blaze spawner for potion making, which I never could do before . Right now I'm finishing up my starter base and building a forestry house before I try to conquer the nether by building a base and mining outposts there. I'm super looking forward to getting elytra which I've never done in solo survival before. I've never even killed the dragon so~ Lots to do lots to do~
Oh ya, I also do the same with tools xD Except I stick to using iron for wayyyyy to long "saving up" my diamonds xD Then, every single time, when I finally get around to using diamond tools I'm like "omg, this is so much better anywho.... I shoulda been doing this for a long time now"
Simspawn I enjoyed reading your reply tbh I've done nothing but solo survival I just don't have friends and I'm too broke to afford internet the closest I get is my phone and the Hotspot it provides I've played with my wife but she's not very good at cooperative game play and before I had my Xbox I had been playing on my ps3 had a world on there for a couple years but my Playstation kept corrupting my data forcing me to restart over and over. My Playstation no longer works as far as I know I don't have aux chords and a controller to find out its been gathering dust for around 6 years now with all my old games beside it one of which being minecraft. I like solo game play but I've never had a chance to play with anyone with this or any other game my friends would always choose hanging out with one another instead of me and where I grew up my 2 brothers and I were the only kids except for 2 and they all hung out together and left me alone. I've uh I've always been lonely the world and it's people has always casted me aside so I feel as though it was never meant for me to play alongside other people. Now we live in a world where if you don't have internet people give you weird looks and we can't even play a game without a download first. I miss being able to put the disk in and play. Now it's buy the system buy the game buy internet to be able to download it to play the damn thing. As lonely as I am I have no friends so I have no options. I am a stay at home father with 2 kids one newborn on Christmas and the other 15 months. My wife is going through postpartum depression and I'm taking the brunt of all of it and yet I can't just sit down and relax when I got the chance because of not being able to have internet. My wife works but the most she makes in a week is $300 we can barely afford our bills let alone luxury like having internet. In a way I'm glad people have given me a distain for people all most have done is take advantage of my kindness and throw me aside when it's done or hate me without knowing me first. I only regret not enjoying life....idk what it's like to play with someone online a Lan party or a mmo. I don't get most memes and I hate fads with a passion. I'm 26 and I've never got to experience the fun parts that people enjoy and post on UA-cam and whatnot. If I could at least for one day enjoy what everyone else seems to take for granted I would be so happy. Anyway until then I'll just do what I can on my world and maybe in the future I can afford to have internet so maybe Toycat can show off my progress for me. I look at other people's worlds and see what they accomplish but 9/10 your usually looking at a creative player or a multi-player world. I've done things that would make some of these worlds look like nothing happened on them and I'm by myself. Anyway sorry for this uh book I wrote you back and to anyone that would read this. If you have unlimited data you can play Bedrock on your phone. It can be hard finding a good SMP though. If you can afford it your best bet is to start your own realm and make posts on social media to recruit. I ran one for a little over a year. We had to continually recruit more players but we did have a solid core group eventually.
That would be fun I did have minecraft on my phone before but after I found out nothing saved unless you bought it it turned me away. I couldn't play it on this one now bc its too broken but might re-download it when I can afford a new phone. Well that plus the money to buy the game anyway lol. And as long as I've played solo I know I'd prefer it especially since a lot of players have no respect. However the experience to where I could at least talk to other people would be nice. The only other thing I'd like to do is be on a realm with Toycat at least once to say I did. He's my favorite youtuber and I think a lot of that is because he doesn't come across like most others. He's wholesome and mostly honest and you can tell even though money from what he does is nice it's not the driving force behind it and that to me makes a huge difference.

Putting a lever on a furnace can lock the hoppers attached so if your short on fuel you can smelt in bulk...

Maps made out of a chunk covered in limegreen concrete make a better green screen due to maps not having shadows.
I think mojang should make realms free cause i have worlds which i love to play with my friends and i find it hard to play in the world with them because of trouble joining worlds, getting on at similar time, getting invites, and all that stuff and with a realm i could skip out on all that stuff and have a sharable private server like world but if it costs money i dont have any so i cant pay for it, it costs loads £10 a month on one, and also my father wouldnt let me ‘waste’ my money on minecraft anyway.
Also they should add java bugs to bedrock - tnt duper, nether roof building, crawling, etc…

The reason there were levers on their furnaces on realm no.8 is because you can store the xp you get from smelting by doing that. And when you flick the lever, it lets all the xp out.
