@@jasonthesmarty First of all adored the series and hope to see you do some more with old minecraft in the (hopefully) not too distant future but i was wondering.. is there a seprate vid of you going over the world like you did for alpha and beta respectively?
I love how the biggest highlight of the entire series is a big ass bridge. Imagine stumbling upon it and seeing it just span for hundreds or even thousands of chunks.
I still remember when I lost everything to a chunk error, my dogs, my loot, my house, the beginnings of my mine. I literally did not play Minecraft for almost 6 months after because of it.
It is 11:00 pm, I am very tired, listening to the music in the video and your voice, and playing cookie clicker. The most relaxing night quite possibly has been with your video. The nostalgia is even making me a little teary. Thank you for the video.
havent watched the series so im excited to watch this in its entireity! huge respect, cant imagine how long/taxing it was to render this LOL. been so burnt out of modern minecraft im kinda considering running a beta server, or just running a modded version of an update from a few years ago. this definitely deserves more views even if it was a reupload. well, see y'all in 4 hours!
@@Judersthegoofygoober i was going to watch the video (which is about 4 hours long) and then leave another comment but I forgot to leave that second comment......
I had so much nostalgia from watching the 100 days in Alpha already. I am so happy to see a full movie is out just as I discover this. Looking very much forward to watching it all tomorrow when I wake up. Great series and I really enjoy you also telling us throughout what kind of updates and content are added to the game!
This was such a great idea to make these videos, I love the info you give on every update when you switched. Loved watching this, especially the beta-release 1 versions!
Ah yes, the whole perfect saga But honestly, these were one of the most entertaining 100 days i ever seen. It's sad that Java didn't had more versions lol You could try dumping your own legacy consoles edition into your PC, put them into emulator and manually adding patches for another 100 days video! I would love to see my favorite version in your style! (The most stable one is X360 version on Xenia Canary emulator. There were 74 patches I think, the oldest being comparable to Beta 1.6.6 and newest to 1.13) Also, now you are "The Bridge Man". At least to me
Man how the hell does this not have more recognition? Dude please tell me you got your money's worth out of these videos, PLEASE, I absolutely love alpha/beta content in MC but also love the new versions, this video is amazing.
dude this video puts me to sleep and not in a bad way. the old calming minecraft gameplay with the music and your voice is so relaxing. love your approach to playing this. instead of worrying about getting the best gear and beating the game asap, you just chill out and build a bridge. it’s 7pm and i can barely keep my eyes open lol.
Great video man! These are great efforts, they deserve a hundred percent likes, and I'm glad I came across your beta survival video in the recommendations. I myself remember those times when only 1.5.2 was newest version
I started in 1.5.2 as well (release specifically.) That to me will always be the golden age of Minecraft, and is actually the version I think fondly of the most

Your minecraft videos made me go back to play old versions I grew up with, taking me to such a special and comfy place, so thank u for taking me back to my happy place again :]
1.7.3 was and always will be my most favorite game of all time. I have a whole discord with 30+ people I play with. We run a really good modpack that, in my opinion, finishes Minecraft. I will always cherish that version the most. And sadly, I just can't with modern versions. I detest them. Same goes with rust when I started back in late 2015, grew alongside the game, and now miss its younger self. Maybe I'm stuck in the past, maybe I miss the memories I made, but I think those times were the absolute best in my life when I was truly happy. If anyone wants to play sometime, hit me up. I've put over 3k hours in 1.7.3. I love it.
these were some really good videos, really cool to see everything come together! i'd recommend lowering the music volume in the future as it can be a little overwhelming at times, btw
this gave me so much nostalgia from my childhood. the beta especially as i started playing with the xbox 360 edition of the game when it first came out. (i originally only had the demo of it haha but i got the full version soon after) but i loved how simple it all was. the buildings you made in alpha and beta only added onto that nostalgia! also you gave me chills when you mentioned the hatfilms update trailers. i completely forgot about those but i remember watching every one of them! very well done! so happy i found this!
Those are not players but I think they were mob IDs. In older versions of Minecraft when I pressed F3, nametags with a random string of numbers would pop up.
@@jasonthesmarty Oh i've thought that were ur friends to help making the Great Jason's Bridge😁. Nevermind thx❤️ for ur informative vid, watched it from the beginning till the very end. Now i know way better how minecraft works and why all of stuff in it is like it is. Very funny was to know that slimes were added before the cows did. i also always wondered why golden pick has such a low durability and it appears that back in the days When Grass Was Greener all of picks used to have lower durability , it was changed though it was not the the case with the golden one.
I started playing minecraft around update 1.6 or 1.7, which was 2013. I was 6. So I've been playing 10 years 👍 very interesting to see the updates in linear form here
