- We’re excited to continue our 50th Anniversary series with another artist who’s sure to make waves in the next 50 years. This time, we asked singer-songwriter and longtime Taylor player Ben Harper to nominate an artist he feels we’ll all know well over the next five decades, and he selected Chicago-based, Chicago-born Nathan Graham.
Nathan is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and music educator who has collaborated with artists across rock, hip-hop, jazz, soul and beyond, bringing an instantly recognizable voice and lyrical style that has put him in high demand in the music world. A drummer as well as a guitarist, Nathan aims to change how we think about songwriters. Having toured both internationally and across the United States, Nathan’s experience undoubtedly adds a unique texture and sophistication to his sound, channeling passion, heartbreak, and joy into songs he says are ultimately about the universal human experience. After releasing an EP of live jams in 2022, Nathan introduced his debut album to the world in October of 2023 with his first full-length record, Saint of Second Chances.
