Your dining/kitchen is the best I've seen in so many similar ones in SG. People have done all whites or the latest trendy blue with gold handles but yours just stood out at first glance! I love how you match the colour of the lovely dining table legs with the floor and cabinet and highlighted the dark brown top. And the combination of that shade of grey with that light brown, it's so nice! I try to find the table from fortytwo..do you know the model name? I think you are good with colours and design
Aww thank you! 💕 Initially we wanted to do white too, but heard from some of my friends that it may turn yellow so we thought grey would be a more durable option and yeah we kinda like the combi of grey and wood. ☺️ I can't remember the exact model name but it should be this: www.fortytwo.sg/loto-dining-table-oak.html
Thanks for the info! Yours in the video looks 2-toned with a darker brown top. DIY stain..? I don't see the same one as yours on Fortytwo though. For the kitchen, can you tell me the ID/carpentry that you engaged?
@@parodoxppp Hmm nope it’s Loto, just checked my invoice. Not sure if it’s the colour difference in their newer batch of products cos I bought this almost 2 years ago. But it could also be the colour filter they used on their product photo cos it’s definitely 2 different shade of brown, for mine. If not you could drop them an enquiry too, hope this helps! 😄 My contractor is from innerglow design.
May I ask what the round item is hanging next to your microwave? I'm just more curious than anything. Your kitchen is beautiful though. I am hoping to redo my kitchen in the future and hope to have drawers like yours. It seems so much more functional.
Hello there! It’s trivet from TaoBao. Thank you for compliment 😊 I have the same view on drawers, it’s a lot more easier to look for things compared to those swing door cabinet.
@@misemise Neat! I will definitely be looking for it when one of my kettles gives up. I actually use one for drinking water and one for tap for different uses around the house.
Hi, I see that you installed a cover for your dish rack. Can the dishes still dry when u cover it? And is it difficult to put the dishes there after you’ve washed it?
Hello! Yes it can still dry, it’s just slower. But usually we let it ventilate first before pulling the cover down. It’s not difficult, the rack height was referenced to my husband’s height so it’s a taller for my height. But it’s not difficult (maybe cos I got used to jt hahah), I just feel that the space above is not sufficient sometimes so we had to dry our other kitchen/baking wares at our service yard. 😕
@@misemise do you mind to share your contractor with me. Because your kitchen looks so preety. And the base is not so thick. My contractor told me my table top will be very thick if do concrete base. But i preper concrete because it is more durable and watee resistance
@@misemise i m have not done my reno yet. Contractor told me our table top with concrete base + quatz stone will be 9cm. Very thick right? They told me concrete table top will be at least 5cm, and add on quartz stone(3.8cm) on top will be total 9cm. But i saw your kitchen top very thin. May i know how do they did it? They wrap the concrete with laminate ?
Hello! 😄 I wouldn't say its too difficult but definitely I would have to straighten my arms to reach the top rack (but not to the extend of tipping toe). So its still alright for me, plus my husband usually does all the dishes :x Nope, we don't put any plates on the countertop.
How do you deal with lingering smells after cooking in the kitchen? Have you even considered a glass door/separator to isolate the smell within kitchen? Thanks!
Actually surprisingly not so bad, maybe we don’t do heavy cooking often. Usually after a session of deep frying, we will clean the kitchen immediately after meal or the following day. Then spam home fragrance around the house and ventilate. Hmm maybe if the floor area is bigger, BTO kitchen feels so small 😩. Always wanted to a big kitchen that’s why we went for open kitchen.
The space feels so airy. The kitchen usually hosts the most clutter, so it feels good to have things stored away properly. I just made this video sharing how I quickly decluttered my kitchen. ua-cam.com/video/xmhSgtPLlt4/v-deo.html xCC
Hello! Thank you for your comment ✨ I’d like to clarify myself that I’m not a minimalist but I’m just sharing in terms of minimalist interior design 😁, as the title of this video suggest.

It is such a pleasure to look at how organized the kitchen is.

hi, may I know where you bought your metal rod in the kitchen and which adhesive did you use to stick to the glass?
Mind sharing the cost of reno for the kitchen itself, if you happen to have the breakdown? :)
Yeap! 😆 If you’re referring to kitchen carpentry works, it’s about $7.5K. The big ticket item was really the kitchen counter top close to $3K.
What is the material of the countertop please? :)
@@heartsnstars8282 Hello! They are quartz from Silestone 😁
