No actually to help protect your constitutional rights, all of them, $30 a month is not expensive at all. These are your GOD given rights to protect yourself and your loved ones so can you really put a dollar sign on that. And unlike your tax dollars that goes overseas for every unimaginable folly politicians can come up with this money stays here in the USA. I know you commented 2 years ago so I hope you’ve changed your mind and joined. As a footnote there are just reached 5 million members in the NRA BUT THERE ARE OVER 115 million gun owners in this country
I can understand donating money to something you love but dude, a full grand? That is like, a lot of fucking rent and bill money. Not really responsible dude.
@Eli Donoso I work with guns. I'm not anti-gun. Donating a thousand dollars is a ton of cheese to drop from your wallet. And why are you replying to a three year old comment to insult some rando on the web?
Reminds me that I need to renew. Would have done it sooner but I've been sending my funds to our own orgs here in Canada. We're hanging on by a thread up here. Good luck my southern brothers! The whole world is watching.
+Michael A. R62713152 I am joining to help you as I can - 5 years membership. I have found the NRA site and will try to pay by the c. card. Good luck in your fight for your rights.
Don't get me wrong I love the NRA but I'm coming from your ads and just a pro tip don't put your ads on gun videos cause if we're watching gun videos we already know everything you say you should try advertising on different videos
Yes, we are the NRA. American as Apple pie, patriotic as the first American Patriots. Thank you NRA for teaching me how to safely shoot and handle firearms!
In the Netherlands we had one mass shooting since WW2. And almost no gun violence. Only the government (police/army) is allowed to carry guns, and we are fine with that. I have to admit that compared to the US we have a different history, a bigger government and we as Dutch people trust our governments more, but still I think it is strange that a lot of NRA supporters think that more guns for everyone (even for terrorists) makes life saver. It is not smart (and feasible) to abolish the 2nd amendment and I think no one tries to do that. But perhaps some stricter rules would make the US safer. That way, law abiding, good US citizens can still have as many rifles as they want.
I thank you for the support and understand what you're saying... what gets most of us 2A supporters, "shall not be infringed" is written into the wording because our framers were knowledgeable men of world societies and knew how the world ran back then. I'm pretty sure, if more Europeans came to America, they'd fire more than one kinda gun and enjoy it
I have never seen the NRA claim that terrorists should have firearms... The problem with the stricter rules is the law abiding follow them, but the criminals still don't. Chicago has the strictest gun control in the US, and the most shootings. Strict Gun control only takes the guns from the law abiding people, not the criminals.
Mark TimeMark that's using facts and logic bro... Libs and anti gunners frown upon using their head for that kinda intelligence. Shouldn't be using that stuff against a lib, LOL
American history is different, very violent. What works in other civilized countries does not work in the US unfortunately. A few common sense gun laws would be nice but I can not see it happening.
Just got my first AR Lower (pronounced freedom) and I'd like to know, is there any physical facility where I can go to sign up for the NRA and pay in cash? Im in Central Ohio
I like it how they say in the end: "We will fight like hell to save America!" They should say: "We will fight like hell to save American gun manufacturers!"
Yeah. Hiding behind the Eye of Providence. That sure is intellectual. Too afraid to show your real identity. The day Wayne Lapierre and Chris Cox grow a collective brain between them, and stop profoundly dishonest, paranoid sacks of perfidious pig crab, then we'll talk. The only thin more pathetic than sociopathic shit stains like them, is people like you who allow yourselves to be represented by them. You amoral dipshit.
First of all, you made no point. Go watch any video of NRA spokespeople making speeches. Go read any press release released in the name of the NRA. Full of a.) insults b.) name calling c.) intellectually dishonest comments and BLATANT lies. Aligning yourself with such a reprehensible group, leaves you no high er ground to object to others taking the same tactics. As for your cowardice with regards to your identity. You are obviously afraid to reveal yourself. Being the reality challenged ammosexual, you no doubt think the government is gonna try to take your guns. They are not going to try to take your guns. And if they did, it woul be completely legal. And you being seditious in response would be completely illegal. And you would lose. And most importantly, they already know who you are.
+Cody Gillespie-Lynch do you really believe the bullshit you're typing? I mean, damn man, slow the Fuck down, calm down chill out... before you speak again, try looking shit up, become acquainted with facts, real results, shit that actually makes sense, useful logic, propaganda that's not bad off liberal horseshit (again, facts) the NRA, no matter how big it is, doesn't actually do shit for anyone. people make up the NRA. until you understand that... nothing will ever be fixed
It's good they showed a little ethnic gender etc. diversity in the ad and mentioned how the group is comprised of all peoples. I am an Asian American and a vocal and proud NRA member.
+Galen Tong The anti gun fools always try to depict the NRA as a bunch of old, fat, white "hillbillies" and that's just not true, as this video shows. The NRA is comprised of ALL Americans from different walks of life.
I used to believe in the NRA was a member for a while but when they started spreading Islamophobia to get more members to join I decided as a Muslim American not to support them any more. But I still do have a lot of respect for many of their members. God Bless America.
I am so sick of seeing this ad. It's like 90% of the ads I see and I've been seeing it for the past year almost. I am not interested in the NRA so what the heck why I am seeing it?
I think it's really interesting how passionate Americans get about their guns. I suppose you have a different cultural experience with them than we do in Britain. In America guns seem to be intimately tied to your national conception of freedom and liberty (and there are quite obvious historical reasons for that, given how your country came to be independent), but that's not the experience of guns in the UK. I've worked as a farm labourer, and I think my experience was quite typical, where we use guns sometimes, but they really are just tools - whenever we had to use one we didn't get any kicks out of it, it's just like using a pressure-washer or a quad-bike or something, it has no special significance to us. We did make a bit of money out of game keeping, but it was mostly American tourists shooting pheasants and grouse. I don't know what the British equivalent of America's love of guns is, in terms of what we hold as a symbol and defender of our conception of liberty and freedom. Our navy, maybe? Any time Britain has been under threat by a foreign power it's usually been our navy that took the most active role in national defense. Or our monarchy maybe? I know that must be odd given America's historic experience with the British Empire, but to us the monarchy is tied up in our ideas of democracy (ironically) and independence, because of Britain's struggle to be independent from Catholicism in 1588 and again in 1688, both of which heavily involved the navy and the monarchy. Plus a host of other crises and threats, those are just examples. But for Americans, their struggle for liberty did not involve great fleets or majestic monarchies, it's people like the minutemen; it's ordinary people picking up guns and asserting their rights. So just as the British are still subjects to the Queen, and the ships of the Royal Navy continue to defend Britain's shores and foreign interests, I think it would be a great shame if the American public had to give up their firearms completely. I think a bit of healthy regulation could help with some of the problems you've had with them, but guns really are, I think, a fascinating manifestation of American cultural history - they are part of what it is to be an American, just as our fleet and our queen are a part of what it is to be British, and I think if we lose those things we do lose quite an important part of our cultural heritage. Personally, I don't really like guns, I would never own one, and I don't think it's a great idea to have one, and I'm not too sure about the monarchy or our military spending, but I completely understand why others do like them. It's a really interesting insight into our culture and history.
+Neil Cole We get passionate about our guns because we believe that the best and most effective government is one that has a healthy fear of its people. Think about a child or pet, they are obedient and polite when they respect their parent or owner and have a healthy fear of being disobedient because they know they will be punished. Similar concept about the government. Think about the most horrific governments in recent history (North Korea now, Russia under Stalin, Cambodia under Pol Pot, Italy under Mussolini, and yes, Germany under Hitler), one thing they all had in common was instituting gun control and eventually gun confiscation laws. Whoever has the power has control, and a gun is a tool which can be used for empowerment. A gun can be the ultimate level-the-playing-field tool. (I say can, because you have to have knowledge and training. A gun in untrained hands can cause significantly more harm than good). If you take away guns, then the next best thing is a knife or bat. In a knife or bat fight, whoever is bigger and stronger will almost always win, and we are suddenly at the same level as animals and barbarians. With guns, a 90 pound 20 or 80 year old female is suddenly just as strong as the biggest strongest male; a gun gives anyone an equal advantage as anyone else. Your navy is a good example, and your air force during WW2 is another example. Your country was strong because it was armed and well defended. The NRA is imploring you to apply that same principle to your home. I live in a relatively safe neighborhood, but there is always the possibility of a home invasion. Do yourself a favor and look up the Las Angeles Riots of 1992. They were only stopped when they met armed resistance by ordinary citizens.
We need a national coalition uniting American patriots to be organized and led by a person with the balls to see it through. Basically, an army. Save yourself and our nation with any means necessary before it is too late.
"It are not guns, their manufacturers or distributors that are the problem, it are the USERS of guns". So by the same token, should we allow the street distribution of hard drugs and stop all high level DEA action, because it are not the hard drugs, the street dealers or Colombian drug lords that are the problem, but the USERS of hard drugs? As it so happens, cocaine, LSD etc. are legal for use by professionals (medical and pharmaceutical industry) only. Time to apply this simple logic to guns.
Each time there is a kiling by a mad guy with a legal big gun, nobody asks the deads about their rights in the constitution. But the killer has his rights. That's what is important!
I'm a proud supporter of gun regulation that makes sense. I am not ashamed that my rights of the 2nd amendment have been supported by President Obama and I am ashamed by the fear mongering of people who think that he is trying to take my guns, I don't love this president, but neither do I think that he is coming to take mine
I do not care how many mass shootings happen at schools, as long as i can get me a gun. Well a worthless bit of paper says I can have a gun for some reason.

Whats up with Billionaire Bloomberg spending tens of millions of dollars to get state governments to restrict or ban firearms? Oh and whats up with the propaganda anti-gun ads on youtube lately?
So devoid of substance, it's emotional manipulative advertising, nothing more.
Fake News, these people are paid for their comments!
I like it how they say in the end: "We will fight like hell to save America!"
They should say: "We will fight like hell to save American gun manufacturers!"
I am the NRA!
