Are you looking forward to the A500 Mini? What games are you going to add? Let me know in the comments!
@@petersmith2522 I remember when that came out! I was so excited as I loved Bomb The Bass!
Benefactor is my personal favourite, Moonstone deffinetely and of course Turrican 2, 3. Beast should be there, First one is most popular, but second one has best atmosphere,
but third one is most playable. So Shadow of the Beast III. Wrath of the Demon is a neglected game and I always liked it better than Beast.
Like you definitely Lemmings and Cannon Fodder. And Lara Croft's father, Rick Dangerous.
Definetelly CannonFooder and Alien Breed 2 ...also any Dungeon crawler Black Crypt atc ..(Jungle strike and any Gunship helicopter sims are still in my heart )
@@czviktorsome very good choices there!
Dogs of war, History line 1914-1918, Moonstone, Fire Force, Kings bounty, Hired guns, Cannon fodder, Elvira, Mortal Kombat 2....
I become fifty this October and have a ton of similar memories from "Pong" on.
My way was through "Game & Watch" games and the Intellivision, then the C64 and the Amiga, before I purchased my first PC.
Todays kids can't imagine the sheer size of the fascination our generation had on the progress of technics.
Absolutely! There are times I'm jealous of kids today and what they have now, but when I think about the way we were there at the beginning of it all, it's way more fun!
You had a very similar journey to me! I had a speccy between the c64 and Amiga days, but otherwise the route is the same!
Hey fella...Richard from Chicago here...This is the first vid I've seen of yours due to a500 stuff coming up in my recommendations...So the a500 came out today in the states, and I must say I've watched a bunch of vids on this subject in the last week or so, and you've reminded me of some classics I played back then that I have not seen on other lists, and I quite enjoy what you've done here, so I'm gonna stick around, hope you don't mind LOL...I am also 50 and guys our age were bigtime geeks for the Amiga back then...👍😁
Great vid fella, thank you again! 💯🙏
Hey thanks for the kind words my friend, I'm happy you got to relive a few memories through my video, that is why I do what I do! I enjoyed reminiscing myself whilst making them too. And I'm absolutely loving the A500 Mini itself. Good to have you onboard!
Great list of games
I’m looking forward to getting my hands on a few of these. These clips bring back so many memories!
Thanks very much for your kind words!
I'm so happy they brought this out. Even happier when I got Xenon 2 working on it.
Me to my friend. It's an absolutely awesome little thing! Can't wait to see what they bring out next.
I've got my A500 Mini pre-ordered so really looking forward to March 25th - although Amazon states 26th as the delivery date. That extra day will be a killer!
Never owned one when I was a kid but had plenty of friends who did and I was very jealous at the time. Still I was fortunate enough to experience the great games and will look forward to adding many of your recommendations, many of which I have fond memories of.
I will also be adding North & South, The Settlers, Banshee, Chase HQ and Batman the Movie. Bring on the nostalgia trip!
Thanks for the comment James. Yeah I'm not sure when I'll get mine. I pre-ordered with Game on announcement day. They do state the 25th but I guess we'll see. I got my PS5 from them and I had that on release day, so I'm hopeful. How exciting this will be your first Amiga!
@ch282 mine arrived about an hour ago. Recording a video on the WHDLoad stuff right now. So far, it's AWESOME! And tiny!
@ch282 It has indeed! Arrived just before lunch so I've tested it and it's working fine. It looks and feels great. Only tested 3 games but the emulation appears to be spot on. Not tried my USB stick yet so don't know if I've successfully managed to add games but will get to that soon - once I've finished work (and it will be an early finish!) I'll report back with more.
@@jamesbarker5535 just finished a new video (recording it anyway) on the WHDLoad thing. I loaded 6 games onto my stick, tested 4 and they all work great! Success!!
@ch282 ha yeah I noticed that!
Great channel, been watching your old stuff, it's cool.
You're very kind thanks so much, and thanks for watching!
You should do a list of brand new Amiga games to include also. Theres been some great releases in the last 2-3 years :)
Very cool idea thanks!
Awesome games which brings me back to my childhood, still have my Amiga 500 amd its games, will buy the A500.
Remember Pirates, did not have the map with the game, so i made a huge map myselve to not get lost.
And i do agree with you with the circus game, loved it and played it so much.
Thanks for watching my friend I appreciate you comment. Amiga 500 was literally my childhood, well teenage years at least! I am old after all!
Yeah Fiendish Freddy was awesome, especially with friends. Wow love your dedication to Pirates! Do you still have the map?
@@YouveBeenGamed don't think i have it anymore. But seeing the game brings back the memory and smile on my face.
@@ZWGamemasterGame aww that's a shame! Mind you, you can have fun making a new one!
Nice line up of games. Looking forward to getting mine. Assassin by team 17 is a classic of mine. or and Overdrive. Music on that was great. Plus many many more. 👍
I forgot about Assassin, good game that! Yeah way too many classics to limit yourself to 25! It was a tough job narrowing my choices down
If I'm not mistaken, the soldiers used to rank up in Cannon Fodder, I think their rank badge used to change.... It was always a sad day when I lost my best soldier!
They sure did! That was an awesome part of the game. Yeah I felt the same when a favourite died. It was devastating!
from mission 8.2 onwards they're slaughtered like, well, Cannon Fodder.
Nice video , looking forward to getting mine
Thank you very much! Yeah can't wait myself. Had it pre-ordered since August!
I think that The A500 mini is going to be awesome! I have never had an Amiga before, and this looks like a great way to introduce a newbie to it. I don't even know what WHDLoad is or how to add games via WHDLoad
I don't like wishing my life away but March can't come soon enough! You'll love it mate, the Amiga is one of the very best. I don't know much about WHDLoad myself. I will try and get a guide video up here once the console is out, if it's needed
Nice to have you on board 👍🏻
If you like retro gaming, Amiga is pretty hard to beat. Lots of genres to choose from.
@@Pulsed101 I couldn't agree more!!
There are several games I played on my Amiga that I’ve yet to see mentioned. Shadow of the Beast I & II, Test Drive (IV the last if I recall…) Sim City, and F/A 18 Interceptor. I did play several of the games listed…..
I have a few more lists coming, and a couple of those games may sneak on there! Thanks for watching!
We need an A600 Maxi! (The lovely 500 we all had is just a little big for todays casual demands)
Who knows what they may have in store for us!
I really enjoyed playing with Benefactor. It is an amazing game!
Cool thanks for the recommendation, I'll have to check it out
@@YouveBeenGamed honestly it's a little slow paced for my taste, Cool lookin' though.
Basejumpers, Geoff crammonds grand Prix, super skidmarks. Cannot wait to hopefully get playing these again.
Grand Prix nearly made my list, I just went for Indianapolis 500 instead. I can't wait too, roll on March!
I remember having to answer a question to get onto Indy 500 and grand Prix, I've still got the book for that.
@@stevenlackenby5991 Yeah I remember that too. Copyright was a bugger back in the day
Great selection of games. Have you done a video on how to do the whload and how to put the games the system.great video 😉
Thanks for your kind words. I will do a video once I get my hands on the console, but as I'm just a customer like yourself this won't be happening until release day... unless the developers read this and want to send me one early 🤣
Cannon Fodder! Totally forgot about that game. Yep, that's going on my list.
Great game and sensible soccer
Got to be done!
@@1973tinytim Totally agree!
Games to adding:
Pang!,Ghostn'Goblins, Joe & Mac, Shadow of the Beast(trilogy), War Zone, Chuck Rock II, Stunt Car Racer, James Pond 2: Robocod, Goal!, Sensible Soccer, Sensible World of Soccer, Toki, Rodland, Golden Axe, Shadow Dancer, Wizkid, Deliverance, Prince of Persia, Rick Dangerous 2, Sleep Walker, Superfrog, Soccer Kid, Apydia, Project-X...etc
Very nice list some stone cold classics right there!
SSI had some great games for the Amiga. My favorite was Sword of Aragon.
Never played that to be honest. I will check it out
Damocles, New Zealand Story, Dungeon Master, Chaos Strikes Back, Bloodwych, Eye of the Beholder, Xenon 2
Elite Plus and Frontier: Elite II are the two I'm definitely going to add.
I hear great things but I'm still yet to play them! I will definitely add them at some point too so I can finally give them a try
@@YouveBeenGamed I've been hooked on the Elite series for a few years, now. I absolutely love the open world (open galaxy?) aspect-- go anywhere, do anything, and exploring.
@@ilexgarodan Sounds like a blast to be honest. I definitely need to play these games
@@YouveBeenGamed You won't regret it!
Amiga games, we’re so much better in sound than the old pc games
I agree, there's something so special about the Amiga sound
Just a list of games you forgot :)
Leander, Lion Heart, Yo Joe!, Traps N Treasures, Arabian Nights, Hired Guns, Alcatraz, Doodle Bug, Z wolf, Apocalypse, Fire and ice, Deliverance, Walker, Space Crusade, Eye of the Beholder, Gloom, Virocop, Jetstrike, Rua N Tumble, Odyssey, etc.
I could go on and on. So many cool games. If you haven't played any one of these, I totally recommend it.
Thanks for the suggestions I will definitely keep them in mind! We're all going to be spoilt for choice adding our games to this awesome console!
Day one for me, will be Chuckie Egg.
After that, I'm sourcing a bunch of new ports and homebrew as there's a tonne of amazing games I've not yet played on Amiga and would like to
A classic! Yeah I'm also checking out some of the new games coming out. It's still a very exciting time to be an Amiga fan
Preorded mine today. Want to add Detroit, batman the movie, point and click games
Oooo Detroit I forgot about that game! Loved that back in the day. Roll on March 25th!
Great list. Hunter would be one of my picks.
Many thanks. Not sure I know Hunter, I'll look that one up
I'll add Everything 🤣 like what you said 😄.2 player games will also a focus like North and South, new Barbarian +and games I didn't get to play like Genetic species. Also be looking forward to add new games that are coming out like Dread and other amazing games that are in development.
It has to be done! Why not cram as much awesomeness on there as we can! North And South was so much fun back in the day I really can't wait to revisit it. I think I'll buy a second joypad so my wife and I can hit the 2 players games. March needs to hurry the heck up!
@@YouveBeenGamed Yepp a second joypad is much needed..And I think they will be great not like the joystick that came with TheC64.
@@AmigaDog yeah I'm not a massive fan of that joystick either. I appreciate what they were trying to do with it, but I just don't get on too well with it
Some real gems on this list, thank you so much. May I ask you a question? Is there a way to make WHDload games full screen? A lot of them (for example Gods) come up as a square in the centre of my screen. I'd like to make them fit the whole screen if possible. Thanks in advance for any advice.
Sorry UA-cam held this comment for some weird reason! Thanks for your kind words. You can auto crop or fullscreen games now by holding home and pressing the Y button. You probably know this by now!
@@YouveBeenGamed Actually I didn't know that. Thanks a lot for the info :)
I think I’m gonna want this
Did you have an Amiga back in the day Mel? Awesome computer!
Versions of IK+ I like best are on the Amiga CD32 or PlayStation 1 as they are identical. Or 8bit Commodore 64.
Yeah love the Cd32 version myself
Hi i Gave you a Sub, Im looking forward to my A5oo mini , I had an Original 500 when they first come out,, I hope to get Shadow of the Beast and Lemmings running of A500 mini thaks for the video
Many thanks and welcome to the channel! Good choices there I'm sure you'll get your wish on release day
I just found out that you can only download "wrappers" of the WHD file, you need to physically own the game to put it on the mini?
There are 'places' you can go online to download full WHDLoad sets which have them all pre-done apparently. Otherwise you're right. A lot of work to do!
Does Saving works flawlessly with downloaded games as well?
So far it does yes
Is champ manager 94 even available as WHDLoad? I wish it was, love that game
Do you know I'm not exactly sure. I hope so. Gonna do some investigating!
Game you need to add, Banshee. The end.
Not played that before but it looks great!
Added Wings but unfortunately it runs way too fast making the missions unplayable. Is there a way to sort this?
I think you have to mess about with the bliter, copper those settings until you find the winning combo. It's a little bit trial and error really
@@YouveBeenGamed I’ll give it a try, thanks 😊
@@reds005 hope you get it working
Even you forgot Turrican. "Jimmy White or Turrican? Hmm. I'll take Jimmy."
Ha yeah me too!
Also Its compatible with CD32. Its great.
It sure is my friend!
In Czech, they shifted the delivery date to April, 8th.
Same in the UK sadly. We should have been playing on this today! 😟
@@YouveBeenGamed so lets hope that this was a last date change.
@@senaoutofspace fingers crossed my friend
@@YouveBeenGamed week to go...omg...
@@senaoutofspace I know right!
What was the game where you sometimes pulled out a chicken instead of a gun?
I'm really not sure to be honest! Sounds fun though
@@YouveBeenGamed I had to look to find out. It was Flood by Bullfrog. The game that took hours to complete and at the end you climb out of the sewer and get run over.
Sinbad and The Throne of the Falcon??
no love for the Zeewolf 2?
Like I said, I could do a list of 200 games and still not fit all the classics on. Great game though for sure
You don't tell us how it works to add the games. It's not hard per se, but I had to figure it out myself. The WHD load package must be on the USB stick and all WHD load games have the extension lha. Fortunately, the A500 mini tells you what to do as soon as you insert an (empty) USB stick.
I will do once I actually get my hands on the console. It's a little hard to know exactly how it works when I'm one of the many of us still waiting for ours. Sounds like you've been lucky though, congrats.
definitly Fire & Ice and Uridium 2 are missing. 2 pure jewels on Amiga.
Good for Ideas of games to play on any Amiga.

I will see what I can do! Thanks for the ideas!
The A500 loks great , but its still ARM powered emulation with user friendly interface . Whats i mean - Mouse and Joypad look as old ones but design is definetelly aged oldschool and not effective . I believe any USB mouse and gamepad with analogs will be serve better ...
Yeah you could be right. I guess there is no telling for sure until we get our hands on this beauty!
Why did they add f16 when you need a keyboard to play it
Beats me! Unless they think we'll all buy usb keyboards for it!
Defender of the Crown ( ua-cam.com/video/dejjjON0PXk/v-deo.html ) & Savage ( ua-cam.com/video/LKyMuuY_lTA/v-deo.html ) are musts for a mini 500
Both were pretty impressive showcases for the Amiga in the earlys days.
Links golf, best golf game
Great game that!
The new Steel Sky game is a sequel called Beyond a Steel Sky
Yeah that's right, I found that out after recording! Have you played it?
@@YouveBeenGamed I have it on Switch, but haven’t played yet!
@@Philbrush you'll have to let me know how it is. Not sure I'll be getting it any time soon as there is way too much coming out this month!
@@Philbrush Same here. 😅
And Beneath had 15 disc's. 😉
Settlers!
A good shout that!
25? I added 300 yesterday
Well yeah I've added more! But think of the length of video if I had made it 300 games I'm adding!!
Street Rod need to be
Good shout!
Is the WHDload free?
Also, does any else remember the game called 'Robbery' a platform level game, seem to remember oranges? 😂😂😂
The ability to add via WHDLoad is free and included with the mini, bit as ever you need to source the games yourself. Not sure I know the game you're asking about
