Hi Lizzy and Shawn, We are on a 2 weeks trip in Austria right now. Because of your video we went to this campsite. It’s indeed one of the best campsites so far. We have our California almost a year. Thanks for the many great tips so far they helped us a lot to make the right decisions.
When we went to St. Augustine, FL they gave us a small bottle of water that was to be a memory trinket and water from the fountain of youth. Which was not found lol. ;) peace I don't know why, but snow on the mountain tops always looks like it should be that way beautiful.

Loving the videos. I have a golden too and it makes me laugh every time I watch these with Bentleys mannerisms - such wonderful companions. All this gives me itchy feet though :-)
I love your videos. We travelled through Europe back in the day, 2 adults and two surly teens in a 1981 Westfalia. Mum and Dad had a 1959 Westfalia back home in New Zealand until 2006. No wonder I have a campervan obsession! We are doing the South Island next month in winter and have been tripping around there in the holidays for the last two years. Any chance you may do it in the future? Lots of campers, not many VWs.
We would love to do NZ but it’s a big ask to leave Bentley with my mum for the length of time we’d need to make it worthwhile. We’d also miss him like mad!
A Bus And Beyond we know the feeling. We have to leave our old dog with my Mum when we are on the road or in our boat. Now Mum has moved into a retirement village the dog has holidays there! NZ is nowhere near as dog friendly unfortunately as Europe.
Yes, we love Grubhof too - a great place, location and area! Thanks for showing us again. Great video. By the way, people talk of dashcams being illegal in Austria (and some say Luxembourg too!). Did you take yours down in Austria! Cheers.
Great video’s I want to go roughly the same routes and see the same sights... on your two trips, how long were they? 10 or 14 days? I could not work it out. Only so when I plan a journey i can cost it.
Thanks! I think this trip was around 12/13 days. We don’t film everything but we also do a lot of driving so it might be nice to shorten the route but stay somewhere longer. Hope that helps!
This trip we didn’t need a vignette as we didn’t go on the motorways. The last time we were in Austria we bought one while we were there. Most fuel stations sell them.
I'm confused was that a big chunk of cheese only on the bread which is fine, but I be backed up for weeks. lol We have grilled cheese sandwichs.. Butter two slices of bread put cheese in middle (add any meat) and into the frying pan until light golden brown on both sides and eat. "grilled cheese) americans know it's a sandwich. :) peace
@@shhshutupemma the cable car is Almbahn 1 and Almbahn 2 (Almenwelt) located by the Karussel bar and intersport Sturm. We go here every year Skiing in February. An amazing resort, lovely people, great food and hospitality. I’d recommend Lofer to anyone and everyone 😁
Well we’re here now on your recommendation and I must say the facilities and the 5 star hotel feel of the place is incredible. I agree it’s probably our best campsite we’ve visited so far !

VW Topaz 2007 Thanks so much! Yes we removed the dashcam for Austria and put it well away. They have very hefty fines so worth doing.

Flyby Airplane it’s because they are classed as been against their civil liberties and they have pretty heavy privacy laws in Austria.

Yeah I'd say on the whole it's easier with a dog in mainland Europe. Things like the aires etc make travelling with a dog so easy
