Finally someone shows me from start to finish how to use my papers. I have not made a collage yet b/c I’m in the process of moving. Thank you. I love your style. JJ
Thank you for the kind words! The first couple of collages that I did were honestly terrible, lol. It takes a little bit of playing around with, but it’s so much fun to do!
Thank you for your kind words! Honestly, just go with your instinct and use what you like. Worst case scenario, you just paint over it! (I know, easier said than done, and I should just take my own advice sometimes!🤣🤣🤣🤣)
My collage artist friend sent me your link. These pieces are wonderful. I’m subscribing. I’m still learning collage and appreciate your explanation as you work.
Welcome, and thank you so much for checking out my videos! Honestly, I am still learning collage also. I love experimenting with it and trying out new things, and it’s always interesting to see what we come up with, isn’t it?☺️
Hi! I just paint the sides with a black acrylic paint. Then, when I put my topcoat on the piece, I also spray the sides down so that the finish matches!☺️
Very informative video, thank you! You mentioned the foundational art practices. I realise that one probably needs an art course to learn these practices, but is there anywhere I can go to to expand in those practices you mentioned?
Hi! Thank you for checking out my video! I learned about the art fundamentals in college in intro to design and intro to drawing. However, there are probably some books that you could look into or possibly even an Internet search would yield the information that you’re looking for. I’m sorry I can’t be more helpful with anything specific, but that’s probably where I would look first! Have a great weekend!☺️
No, the boards that I bought were just raw wood. I primed them with gesso myself. And then I ended up using a coat of Krylon, UV resistant spray, which has a nice gloss finish, but I didn’t use any other type of varnish.
Cute, cute, cute!
Love this idea. Thank you for this excellent video!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it!☺️☺️
LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Thank you so much!!!☺️

I have a piece in progress that has book text in the background. The text is the steamy parts from romance novels. I call it my Boudoir art.
I love that!
Love these
Thank you so much!
These are great.

Love the pieces... and i found your commentary helpful (and so much better than the terrible music that accompanies some UA-cam channels!...)

I love this and would need a lot of practice in order to understand colour combinations for a background. Thanks for sharing.

I love the blue and pink birds but not the other birds. You are very talented, lady.
Great Video! Thanks so much. One question though, how do you finish the sides?

Do your cradle boards come prepped or did you gesso them? Did you end up putting any kind of varnish on? Matte, satin or gloss?

Michael’s points cards. Not just for points 😂 2:56
In all seriousness thank you for the explanation. Understanding the entire process is crucial for newbies like me
I LOVE “free” art supplies! 🤣🤣🤣
