This band is one of the best in sound quality and live instrumentalization, apart from its stage presence and with one of the best vocalists.
People don't understand how difficult it is to sing like he does and pull off the screams back to back.
Whether it be on records or live performances; it's hard.
And those comparing Adrian to Marcus...
Adrian couldn't do half of the things that Marcus does now. Northlane chose Marcus to change their sound and for the better. Get with the times and stop being stuck in the past.
You can say all you want, having seen them a dozen times live with both vocalists, Adrian had way more power. The comparison isn’t about how good a singer is, it’s the sheer energy Adrian had behind his harshness.
I was hesitant to watch this only cos of Marcus. But you know what? He fucking owned this song.
These guys are literally my favorite thing in metal recently, Marcus might be my favorite vocalist out there between his phenomenal cleans and raspy guttural screams.. they're just musical geniuses, as a musician you get a different appreciation for it..

Agreed, their recent studio mixes are so frustrating; Node was hard to listen to at times.
I didnt mind node's production, i get why people didnt like it but everything was audible and clear at the very least, in the intuition mix, the drums are basically non existent and sound super flat
the reason why you might find it hard to listen to is because they stated themselves that pretty much everything you hear is recorded analog+ the wanted to achieve an organic but thick guitar sound. Node sounded like one of the best productions I've ever heard tbh :)

Looking at the title I was a little skeptical of Marcus's ability to pull off the lows Adrian hits in the song, but listening to it and especially at the end I was blown away.
So many people complaining about Marcus, yet I wonder how many of you really saw Adrian perform live.. No doubt Adrian was a great lyricist and songwriter, but as a performer he was pretty shit. Having seen both vocalists live multiple times Marcus is without question objectively better as a performing vocalist in every sense.
Don't get me wrong, I think Adrian wrote great music, but he left a lot to be desired in their live shows. Drowning your voice in reverb does not make you a good singer.

Agree as well - seen both before and after live many times. Marcus by far puts on the show and sounds beyond amazing.
I watched a live performance yesterday with Adrian singing, and he was horrendous live. His singing was awful, as were his screams. It's like he's some random football Chad that's accidentally stumbled into a metalcore band. He doesn't even look like he belongs in the band. IMO, Marcus is a better fit for the band, a better singer, better at singing live, and has fantastic stage presence. For me he's miles above Adrian.
I was complaining about Marcus to. But then Alien comes and I shut my mouth very loudly 😂 Saw them twice before this album and once after I can relate how good Marcus is now
