Daniel you were talking about the cabbage leaves. Iced cabbage leaves helps reduce inflammation and warm ones can help also. The warm ones you could use and then try to extract some of the milk off the ones that need it. I hope that helps. I've been there a couple of times before. It might be the poop exposure from the potty training. Like if they are eating a bit of it. If its that, then you will know because theyre poop will start to look almost greasy, fatty and smell really gross.

Claimed she was 10 weeks. Turns out she was 5 weeks, the runt and full of worms.🙃 She had no idea how to eat or drink. The vet even said there is a very large chance of her being a failure to thrive.... Well, she turned 6 in October and is living her best life! And yes, that rescue no longer exists, for obvious reasons! You got this, pups! ☺

I honestly really like how honest and upfront you are about the costs because people need to know that having pets is not cheap and the investment we make to take care of our fur babies. In my country people get puppies because they are so cute when they are little but as soon as they get bigger they throw them out, abandon them in the middle of a highway, a store parking lot, anywhere just to get rid of them. Its the saddest thing in the world and I hate people for doing this.
When a dog has mastitis, the milk can act as sour milk to the puppies. Grizz probably drank from the one teet that was most affected. I would not worry about parvo. They would be worse off by next morning and unfortunately gone by the one after. It moves quickly in puppies and all would be affected. Try pumpkin puree' mixed with chicken puree. It will settle the stomachs. I did for mine. They took to regular food easily after. We as humans go through same thing when coming off the milk.
Hoping and praying all the puppies are doing better. Sending them (and you and Joey) lots of love and hugs! And of course, a special squeeze for gorgeous Monty. Love that wonderful mama!

Weaning means slowly in small increments taking away something not cold turkey stopping it one day. Mastitis is incredibly painful she needs to release the milk from her mammary glands or they're going to get infected and implode and that's even more painful let Monty in to let her puppies feed when she feels like it and then supplement with food but don't just take away their milk because it causes her to get mastitis she produced milk for 11 puppies and she's producing the most she's ever produced right when you took it away to wean the puppies weaning means slowly taking away not taking all of it away one day at once. Monty will win the puppies herself just supplement with puppy food but let her nurse them still.

Hey Daniel, we had the same with our litter. It was a nasty stomach bug and the vet recommended we give them prokolin and to wash our hands really well before we handle them. It also spread to us and our other dogs. But they eventually ended up fine and healthy. Sending u good vibes :)❤
I’ve found that deworming every two weeks really helps till they are 3 months old.also since parvovirus lives in the ground, I don’t let my pups outside till after first shots. I’m super protective though. The esbilac caused diarrhea in my puppies so I switched the breeder’s edge and they had no issues.
Maybe I'm a little late to comment, but cabbage, on humans, is used uncooked, just washed and patted dry in a clean towel, then ran over with a rolling pin to break the veins and let the juices out... and that's how you apply it on the affected area with a clean cloth or gauze on top and make a wrap if possible. Don't know about mastitis, but in insect bites, contusions ( NOT concussions) and low level burns, the cabbage does wonders and it's awesome cause it's a handy thing to have around... plus the rest you can just cook and eat LOL. Soo yeah, maybe it works similarly in doggos too. I hope it helps.

You need a desinfectant that kills viruses, bacteria or parasites. I would separate in smaller groups of 4 and make sure to have a fecal PCR done to check for Parvovirus, etc… The key to having healthy animals is clean, clean, clean. Puppies and kittens can get dehydrated very fast so they may need subcutaneous fluids with a dose of Baycox for Coccidia (usually at 4 and 6 weeks old)
I know people have had puppies get sick and even die from nursing from a mother with an infection or transfer of bacteria from a nursing mother with mastitis

As a breastfeeding mother, i would Recommend pulling off a few leaves and throwing them in the fridge or freezer, and then put them on after they’ve gotten extremely cold and leave on for a few hours. Massive help to me!

Poor babies. The last puppy I got from a southern rescue was loaded with worms and she had to do two rounds of antibiotics and so did my adult dog because they lived together. Was not a fun time. I hope they get better soon as well as Monty. Poop Mama looked full and soar. I wonder if sitting in a warm tub would help release some of the pressure from the milk. I know it did for me after I had my son. Feeling like you are going to burst is not pleasant.
How are the puppies going to learn to pee and poop outside on walks if they are now learning to go in a litter box instead of going on the grass? It's doubtful that any of their new owners are going to use a litter box for a dog, I've only seen them used for cats. Wee-wee pads are normally used for dogs.

Daniel a great thing to use for animals having gi issues & diarrhea is benebac plus!! I use it on all my animals (dogs, cats & rabbits) anytime my pup has a slightly runny poo I give her some mixed in her food & within hours it sorts her tummy out & fixes the issue!! Also grates aren’t smart to use for animals feet, they’re suggested a lot for bunnies but in all reality it’s not good for any animal to walk on metal grating, it hurts. Obviously your dogs so do as you please but as an animal rehabilitator & trainer I’m just giving you my opinion. Also it their feet slip through & the freak out or struggling to get out they can really mess up their feet/legs!
Cold cabbage will possibly be a good cooling agent to help with the heat and infection and cold clean cloths too , I hope she continues to get better soon , so sorry about babies , please be well , I hope they get better soon too. You are both good dog daddy’s.
The litter box training was okay for inside but it’s not a good idea to continue it once they r outside in the grass because that will make it much harder the potty train them to go in the grass in the long run. It’s better for them to get comfortable going potty in the grass without the litter box. Ps I’m a dog trainer and they r also adorable!
A suggestion for cleaning - it's a little pricey but I keep Rescue disinfectant on hand to clean anything animals might come in contact with. It's what a lot of veterinarians and animal shelters use to disinfect. It's much safer to use around animals than Lysol or bleach, and still strong enough to kill the nastiest viruses. You can buy a gallon of concentrate that lasts a long time or there's premixed spray bottles and wet wipes. Not that I think the Lysol made the puppies sick...I really doubt that's the case, but just for future cleaning, especially for Joey since he has so many baby animals in and out of his house. I'm sure there will be lots more messes from the little ones to come. Hope they're all feeling better soon.
Chickens also get prolapses, I've had 3 have one. We didn't take any to the vet, but chickens are more likely to get prolapses then puppies so. One we didn't have to do anything, she fixed herself, another we gave her a bath, and the third my chicken Maymay had a huge prolapse, she wouldn't eat or go outside, we couldn't get her to the vet because no-one in our area or even close to use takes chickens. She didn't die luckily. Your story about pink reminded me about that. Really any animal could get a propane but farm animals are more likely.

Cool the cabbage in the refrigerator. Then change the leaves out every hour or so. It really helps. Pray mom and puppies feel better soon.

Don't use Lysol around the puppies. They can draw the ingredients in through their paws, and that’s not good.(I learned this in microbiology)

Daniel a great thing to use for animals having gi issues & diarrhea is benebac plus!! I use it on all my animals (dogs, cats & rabbits) anytime my pup has a slightly runny poo I give her some mixed in her food & within hours it sorts her tummy out & fixes the issue!!
Also grates aren’t smart to use for animals feet, they’re suggested a lot for bunnies but in all reality it’s not good for any animal to walk on metal grating, it hurts. Obviously your dogs so do as you please but as an animal rehabilitator & trainer I’m just giving you my opinion. Also it their feet slip through & the freak out or struggling to get out they can really mess up their feet/legs!
Cold cabbage will possibly be a good cooling agent to help with the heat and infection and cold clean cloths too , I hope she continues to get better soon , so sorry about babies , please be well , I hope they get better soon too. You are both good dog daddy’s.
The litter box training was okay for inside but it’s not a good idea to continue it once they r outside in the grass because that will make it much harder the potty train them to go in the grass in the long run. It’s better for them to get comfortable going potty in the grass without the litter box. Ps I’m a dog trainer and they r also adorable!

A suggestion for cleaning - it's a little pricey but I keep Rescue disinfectant on hand to clean anything animals might come in contact with. It's what a lot of veterinarians and animal shelters use to disinfect. It's much safer to use around animals than Lysol or bleach, and still strong enough to kill the nastiest viruses. You can buy a gallon of concentrate that lasts a long time or there's premixed spray bottles and wet wipes. Not that I think the Lysol made the puppies sick...I really doubt that's the case, but just for future cleaning, especially for Joey since he has so many baby animals in and out of his house. I'm sure there will be lots more messes from the little ones to come. Hope they're all feeling better soon.
Chickens also get prolapses, I've had 3 have one. We didn't take any to the vet, but chickens are more likely to get prolapses then puppies so. One we didn't have to do anything, she fixed herself, another we gave her a bath, and the third my chicken Maymay had a huge prolapse, she wouldn't eat or go outside, we couldn't get her to the vet because no-one in our area or even close to use takes chickens. She didn't die luckily. Your story about pink reminded me about that. Really any animal could get a propane but farm animals are more likely.
