Shamed that lots of wrestling promotion that rise during WCW/ECW out of business. Have a lot potential to be good or alternative wrestling promotion for anyone who bored WWF(E) on that time. But most of them screw themselves and gone. I don't know why it always happened like this.
I think it's the way it's filmed that gives you this feeling. I went back and watched some old Joker Sting segments and it's filmed with a chaotic 'reality-tv' type feel to it. It's directed just like an episode of American Chopper or something. Today they go for a more 'professional sports' type thing with static interviews and stationary cameras, which is more how it was done in the mid 90s and before.
Kind of ironic in hindsight seeing Jeff Jarrett get on Hardy's case about Victory Road given it was Jarrett's own demons that wound up leading him out of TNA/Impact, seemingly for good and actually seeing him appear again in WWE. Although, also in hindsight, the idea of him returning to WWE has somewhat lost its wow value now that Cody Rhodes is back in WWE.
You say Sting didn't need the win. While that is correct for Sting, TNA needed him to take the belt, at least for a while, in order to give it some legitimacy. It was a smart play and sting was still pretty hot and had a good fanbase. Also, why am I not surprised Bischoff has a plunger in his office. Gotta clear the turds he lays somehow
It’s the NWA world heavyweight championship it didn’t need Sting to give it legitimacy. Sting’s title reign that lasted 28 days that he lost by disqualification did nothing to help the legitimacy of the title.
I think if Jeff had recognized that he worked best as a mid card comedy type heel he'd be remembered so much more fondly today. There's nothing wrong with being a mid carder. It's like being a character actor in film, they are the glue that holds everything together and often have the most entertaining gimmicks and matches. We all saw what happened to WCW when they fucked over their mid card and it all left, they ended up with a half dozen "main eventers" feuding with glorified Jobbers and the whole thing went to shit.
I feel like Jeff, justifiably, gets a lot of shit but he was always a draw and I feel as though TNA was at its best under his leadership. @Austin Aries Oh yeah, Wasteland was god awful. Looked like the lightest, most tender bump. Wade's inability to find the perfect finisher definitely did him no favors. The Winds of Change/Bossman Slam was dope but the rest were either awful looking or just boring.

Today they go for a more 'professional sports' type thing with static interviews and stationary cameras, which is more how it was done in the mid 90s and before.
The man that broke 100 guitars and yet didn't help sell out a single arena.
not putting Jeff Hardy over at their first PPV in 2004 was a fucking stupid decision.
Finally, a Jerrett reign we can all appreciate!
So otherwise Jeff jarrett is no different from hulk hogan, triple H and Shawn Michael's. Once it comes to pulling backstage politics.
Remarkably one of Jarrett’s better runs in TNA lol
I think if Jeff had recognized that he worked best as a mid card comedy type heel he'd be remembered so much more fondly today. There's nothing wrong with being a mid carder. It's like being a character actor in film, they are the glue that holds everything together and often have the most entertaining gimmicks and matches. We all saw what happened to WCW when they fucked over their mid card and it all left, they ended up with a half dozen "main eventers" feuding with glorified Jobbers and the whole thing went to shit.
This is the Video i always wanted !!
This video is payback for all those dodgy gold bars Markyd bought off Slappy!!
I feel like Jeff, justifiably, gets a lot of shit but he was always a draw and I feel as though TNA was at its best under his leadership.
You go back to the early days of TNA and outside or Jarret what big names did they have? Watching AEW for the first time and I found myself mostly interested in familiar names until I got my footing with the newer talent.
i remember i seen a comment that said
hbk ego
with the draw of hardcore holly😂😂😂 i dont know how jeff is a draw
"He was always a draw" WHAT? Kurt Angle and Sting were THE draws on TNA.
I understand why he was world champion, but his matches were OVERLY booked and he made himself look like Hulk Hogan and John Cena combined by kicking out of asteroids.
Jarret is trash
@@TaycaDoncic Funny but that definitely wasn't true.
@@rubenmachado5192 I saw the whole run in real time, Jeff was a draw.
did he really become a janitor
Yup
The Stroke/Skull Crushing Finale is such an awful finish. It's almost as bad as that Orton Overdrive or MVP's Playmaker dumbass maneuver.
@Austin Aries Oh yeah, Wasteland was god awful. Looked like the lightest, most tender bump. Wade's inability to find the perfect finisher definitely did him no favors. The Winds of Change/Bossman Slam was dope but the rest were either awful looking or just boring.
Surprisingly, I think Brian Lawler (As Grand Master Sexay) doing this move very great.
(In Smackdown game it's called "Sexay Facebuster")
I must say, before I've watched over 5 mins that I love seeing any mention of Double JJ, makes an upload a strong yes or a bigger F
A Wild Slapnuts disappears!
"Keep your dimes in your pocket" Hahaha..
I think jj's double finger point is what gets the most heat with me
Yeah im starting to view brian last in the same light as i view conrad thomson i know a lot of others have been tired of him for a while now
AMEN. He's such a smarmy know it all prick who acts like wrestlers should value his opinion when he's done absolutely NOTHING in the business.
Especially the guys who have nailed Suzanne Last: Cody Rhodes, Chris Jericho, JBL, Bruce Prichard, and Dan Lambert, among others.
Brian can be annoying at times, but you can tell he and Jim are good friends and not just business partners. Leagues better than Conrad for his sincerity alone.
Janitors are not losers. They do jobs I sure wouldn't want to do as someone with severe OCD. They are amazing to me.
I had no problem with Jarrett becoming champ. But not having a reign of terror and getting an occasional reign
11:16 I did try to Google it but what happened to his hand ?
I respect his recent visits to GCW along with other Indy companies!
Jeff Jarrett amount of leaving is like he's Meng Huo in Romance Of The Three Kingdoms (Novel version) / Dynasty Warriors.
Kidnap Meng Huo 8-times, until He gives up.
WILD LU BU APPEARS!
@@conradojavier7547 I love this one. Who could be Lu Bu in Wrestling scene ?
@@kidwaryodproduction The Hawk is Cao Cao
Basically put over Bobby Roode a couple times and Sting repeatedly kick his ass, which was pointless. But invincible against Samoa Joe.
Eric Bischoff makes me look back fondly on Half Man Half Mold as a charismatic leader.
Your telling me the hawk is in Newcastle this weekend?? I'll be on hawk watch Saturday night 👍🏻👑🤝🏻
Il be sure to watch out for punches to the gut
I absolutely love this video, non stop laughing
Damn I watched this when I was a kid. Didn't realize ol slap nuts left that much
To his credit I don't think he was ever TNA Champion. I think he was NWA/TNA champ only like Abyss.
I'm pretty sure it was still called the NWA title. It got taken away from TNA when they split from the NWA I believe.
"Shame it couldn't have been someone other than Sting"....yeah like MONTE BROWN. Biggest missed opportunity in TNA history, and I know, I mentioned it before in other videos comments but the Alpha Male was over.
He didn't want to be Champion though.
Mike tenays serious face.... legendary
How are you finding clips of the Hulkamania era of TNA?
Jeff Jarrett is the ultimate king carny.
Lol what’s RGT doing here? Is triangle strategy good? I’m done Pokémon legends Arceus and it’s left a hole in my heart.
Mrs. Nuts's name is Karen. HaHa perfect.
This might be crazy but during this time Jeff Jarrell actually because underrated in TNA.
Say what lol?
All this guitar hits!....
Makes me remember when SLAP NUTZ smashed BEATLEJUICE (from Stern) with a guitar! Lmado
I'm like "realllly tuff guy!" LMADO!
Foley was like I’m not going against WWE lol
