The reason it says do not follow is because some people follow the ambulance, in there car to the scene the Ambulance is Responding to.

I work for EMS and sometimes when Im going lights and sirens to the hospital during rush hour traffic youll find someone taking advantage of the fact that youre clearing the road with your lights/sirens and theyll trail right behind you in order to get through traffic as well. People are jerks
