  • This is the Deco M5 mesh utilizing Starlink's ethernet adapter. Both the Deco routers and Starlink ethernet adapter are pretty inexpensive and well worth it!!
Check out these links to order some of the equipment in the video.

It blows my mind that yours set up so easily. I have the exact same system and deco. I cannot, for the life of me, get it to work. The deco continues to say that the ethernet is not connected. It's odd because I had an extender that worked for years, then we had some crazy storms which fried the extender. My only thoughts are that my ethernet adapter is fried as well or I have a faulty deco system. Wish me luck.

It varied a lot because before I had Deco there weren't as many satellites. Speeds were 20 mbps to 100 mbps. It has been more consistently on the higher end now but I got the Deco for coverage. Not sure if it would be faster just adding more Starlink routers?

do note that you can connect all of them thru LAN cables via daisy-chain (like train-cars).. this is called Ethernet backhaul. advantage is you'll get the full speed for all mesh.. unlike with just wifi backhaul, the speed gets halved for every hop

Schmidty did you get a new router or does the M5 work as the new router??? When I set it up like you I had two networks, the original Starlink one and the newly named ones with the decos. I was then watching your video again and I heard you say that you bypass to the Starlink router so I thought I would be smart and do what you did and I pressed bypass router within the Starlink app and everything shut down I had to reset the Starlink router and reset up the Netwerk. I don’t understand what I did wrong? I’ll keep trying ultimately I rebooted it and just set the network up as before but now I still have the Starlink router under one name and then the deck goes under another

    • @schmitty750

Yes! Once you have plugged in the primary deco (the one plugged into the starlink ethernet adapter), then you should be able to bypass the starlink router and the primary deco will be your new router. If it's not working then I would say just give it a bit more time and make sure that the lights on the deco are doing what they are supposed to be doing according to the instructions.
