This was the toughest quiz. The best parts of the episode were seeing Dante’s soul slowly leave his body and John’s “I wouldn’t know Tye Dillinger’s theme song with the music in it!” 😂
I haven't watched wrestling in about 25 years except the last year or so since iyo won the title and I still get 75-80% of their scores. Today I got 3. I was probably my lowest but I actually beat one of them pre wager. Other then watching the reliving the war series I don't know what brought be back except paul and (ricothet?s crazy bump) and iyo's trashcan off the cage spot. Raw is meh to me but I've caught most Smackdowns in the past year and all PPVs either live or pirated..
So I thought number two was at his theme which is why I think it was Left out because those opening drums. I guess sound honestly exactly like Brett's.
@@Daniel-182 It is, but it has a very similar beat. I listened back to Razor’s theme and noticed that there is a prominent bell or sledgehammer sound when the snare drum hits; which is a drum sound and would have been in the Evolution drum theme. But still, they’re quite similar.
@@TheCre88tor I’m guessing that you are a drummer - because you said “kick” and spelled “cymbal” correctly. You’re right - they are not identical. I was using a bit of hyperbole. So, are you a drummer? If so, what kind of music do you like to play? I had/have been a guitarist in punk bands since ‘97.
That was more complicated then i thought. Lyrics and other music instruments are so important to theme songs. This gave me some more appreciation for that!
What I realized many of these songs are done by Jim Johnson by himself. It's all programmed drum machines. Evolution I got in a second. Mikey Dee from motorhead is undeniable. My favorite drummer
This is honestly such a fun quiz idea!! I'd love another one of these, but I can't even imagine the amount of work that went into isolating the drums. Also really loved the cut ins of the correct answer; I think it could totally be combined with the previous format of the correct answer at the bottom of the screen somehow.
Definitely loved that quiz! The number of times I was so confident about myself, and failed miserably had me hate myself but got me entertained! Good work from the sender.
10:30 😂😂😂😂 John got me laughing my heart out bro 10:49 🔥🔥🔥🔥 12:07 you can’t tell me that doesn’t sound like Chris Benoit’s theme bro dadadadarin dadadadarin dadarin dadarin 12:53 Fuck nooo, that’s big show I promise you 😭😭😭 Oh hell no…That was mickie James and you know it..😭that ain’t santino
even though it was very hard to guess. I love how you can tell the time period and the character traits just by the drums. You can tell for the most part which drums came from the 80s/90s based on the production quality, but also the style of drumming. Tempo wise you can tell the vibe of the wrestler, example mid tempo drum beats, usually give off more swag and more groove or can even be slow and intimidating, depending on the wrestler obviously. Also, the use of electronics plays a role as well.
That was a really good concept, as a drummer myself it's super interesting to rediscover the themes through the drums alone. It's a shame he didn't give you guys some easier passes like Metallingus, The Game, Rollin' (Undertaker), Cult Of Personality or The Rock's theme that I feel are so much more recognizable by drums only. But still really cool !
I surprisingly got the Diesel one right but I just recognized the slower beat and the ting in the drums. But yeah this is hard when you include wrestlers from every generation, I haven't heard some of these old themes in so long.
I'm a professional drummer and I've got 7. This was kinda tricky. If you make pt. 2 try to fing more unique and recognizable ones (Goldberg, Drew, Sheamus, Solo, Cody, Becky, Dom and Nick, Sanity, Aleister Black, Strowman, Triple H, CM Punk (both), R-Truth, Cesaro old theme, The Shield, old Rollins, Samoa Joe, Lesnar and many more
What I hear for the ones with - are the ones I got wrong 😂 Seth Rollins Bret Hart Trish Stratus -JBL/Sgt Slaughter -Evolution/Y2J -Bayley -Randy Orton/HBK Kofi Kingston -William Regal -Tye Dillinger/Buddy Murphy DDP -Rhea Ripley Diesel :Wager: Ultimate Warrior instead of Santino
I finished with 5. Jon I was convinced that the Regal one was Jericho as well. I was like WOAH OMG no way but it totally is. I guess I never connected the similarities to the rhythm of the two songs.
Diesel is iconic as it has a slow drum beat. Even with drums only, you can distinguish and imagine that harmonica somewhere at the beggining. That and whenever I hear the slow drum beat like that, I imagine a trucker and so Big Daddy Cool comes to mind immediately. Bret Hart's opening drums is easy to distinguish as well.
Got 4 there....Seth, JBL, DDP and Diesel (those last two shocked me when I saw they were right). I was with Dante on the Mickie James guess in the wager. By far the hardest quiz you guys have had. Props for muddling through it!
My guesses for the songs 😂 1. Seth Rollins 2. Bret Hart 3. Trish Stratus 4. Jack Swagger and Cesaro's theme (We the People) 5. Jeff Hardy (His solo theme) 6. The Rock (1999 theme) 7. *I have no clue* 8. *No clue either* 9. Roman Reigns (Tribal Chief) 10. *No clue again* 11. Undertaker (Rollin theme) 12. *No clue still* 13. Kevin Nash 14. Mickie James 4 pointssss
Evolution ALMOST tricked me (drums sounded similar to the Razor Ramon theme) and then the end part clicked. The theme almost always starts with the drum buildup before Lemmy's vocals kick in.
The only ones I missed were Bayley, DDP, and Santino, although the only reason I got Tye is because he was #10. Paying such close attention to drums in songs finally pays off.
This is brutal since there are like hundreds and hundreds of themesongs. Maybe it woud be easier if you do multiple episodes, like all Attitude Era only, then all Ruthless Aggression, All PG Era, or all WCW or ECW.
I like how bayleys drum rhythm sounds like Dave Grohls drum rhythm in "Smells like Teen Spirit" I don't know if that was the inspiration behind writing Bayleys drums but hey it's cool
As someone who's a little older with Bret Hart as my favorite wrestler, his was super obvious. Also, I figured out the music for DDP's, but couldn't remember who the music belonged to.
I've been watching wrestling long enough to remember the theme songs of Bret Hart and Diesel over 30 years ago and even with only the drums I got the answers right away.
Perhaps needlessly difficult for the 1st one of these, but I love the concept. I managed to get Diesel, Bret, Trish (with a guess), Kofi, Evolution and Seth, but that Bailey threw me off, totally thought it was The Rock, which I was waiting to hear, as did I expect to hear Latino Heat.
Not gonna lie, I actually thought Diesel's was Kevin Nash, but from the theme he used around 2003 when he came back briefly and feuded with Triple H. The pacing sounds identical, I think it would be a cool easter egg if they actually reused the beat from his earlier theme to make the new one
I knew Bret Hart INSTANTLY. Heard the guitars in my head to go with it.
Ya, weird that somehow drums only kinda bring out the rhythm perfectly
Same i was actually playing on my guitar with it
Ngl I said Shawn Michaels
That one was an instant get for me too
Same. I was surprised they didn't get it because I recognized the build instantly.
I like the cut ins of the correct answer
Same
I kinda wish they were included for them on camera. Like "here is how it sounds, all togeher; can you hear it now?"
That saved us all some extra youtube tabs, that is for sure
This was the toughest quiz. The best parts of the episode were seeing Dante’s soul slowly leave his body and John’s “I wouldn’t know Tye Dillinger’s theme song with the music in it!” 😂
Lets be honest even Peyton wouldnt

Bret and diesel were super easy because the song is built around the drum. So sad he left out iconic drums like metalingus and the game though
So I thought number two was at his theme which is why I think it was Left out because those opening drums. I guess sound honestly exactly like Brett's.
Bret was easy. I got Diesel’s mixed up with Big Show’s first “Big Show” theme. I should’ve known by the tempo tho 🤦🏽♂️
@@bebopman5 Same, for both guesses. I just knew it was 1999 Big Show, but alas...
Those were the only two I got right. And I believe it shows my age and the age of the boys. They are generally not good on everything pre 1995
@@bebopman5diesel theme is literally the only song on this list that is basically the actually song
i lost my shit when john said "percussion has more than one royal family" HAAAA
As a drummer, this test is really interesting (and hard as hell lmao)
Agreed
What's your take of def rebel's themes? I find their drums quite generic
I’m a drummer, it was easy😭😭
Does it also hurt your soul, when they claim it is all the same, when it clearly isn't?
Not including Kane’s Slow Chemical as the wager question was a huge missed opportunity. Best drums in a wrestling song ever
Quite a good song in totality, too.
Slow Chemical goes so hard!
I’d say Metalingus has the coolest drums, personally. The drums go hard af in that. I like Slow Chemical as a song more though.
Beastie Boy John stole the show here 🤣
that had me cackling lmao
I would have sworn up and down that No. 5 was Razor Ramon. 4:45
Seriously, it’s the identical drumbeat.
No it's slightly different

I totally was confident it was Razor too.
Kick pattern is a little different, the ride cymbal replaced the cowbell and the snare is more full.
Nice try, though.

This seems like a tough one but I'm ready to put my knowledge to the test as well 😄
How did you do?
Loved including the actual theme when showing the answer! great touch
That is totally the Rock's drumline. I was sure about that one too. I hummed along with it twice!

Bayleys music sounds a lot like the rock at first
I thought it was Ahmed Johnson.
I thought it was gunther
I thought it was the rock, and then when they played bayleys music i litterally thought to myself "so your telling me thats not the rocks music?" Lol

John rapping to the DDP one was awesome. These drums without the OG stuff, you could add something else to make your own
