That last theme song was also used for Wrestlemainia for a few years. It was played quite a bit too back in the day since Linda McMahon was a on screen character for a bit too. When Sophie said it was BS, i thought she was gonna say "Its the theme to WrestleMania" since all the themes to this point were for people and not PPVs.

It was originally Hardcore Holly's but he changed it when Crash joined the company. Hardcore Holly only used it when tagging with Crash at that point. I would have argued that Crash Holly would have been the correct answer personally.

@@TheBorzoi Hardcore Holly only used it from early 1999 to late 2000. Crash Holly used it from mid-1999 to early 2003, so Crash definitely used it longer. But then again, this is an Attitude Era quiz, so it doesn’t really matter past March 2002, and still Crash had it longer even after factoring that in.

You can tell how young they are by how much they struggle with some that are obvious for those of us who are older. Linda McMahon's is iconic and in part because it's a classic Wrestlemania theme as well.

While I understand time and real life get in the way and make things difficult, I do hope they decide to do so at some point.
Even if it's something minor like a random old pay per view a month or a random Nitro followed by a Raw (or vice versa) a month.
I hope with the Raw change to Netflix and peacock removing a lot of the old archived content (have already removed most all archived NXT shows last time I checked, and soon Raw will go as well) that eventually a platform will come that has all that content again, Netflix or otherwise.

I get the sense that they haven't gone back and watched much of the stuff that predates their birth and predates their becoming fans.
I hope they do eventually watch more of it, as it's often quite entertaining and I would like to see how they react to much of it. Mid 1980's to late 1980's NWA stuff and mid 1980's to late 1980's WWF stuff would be at the top of my wishlist for them.
Both entertaining in different ways. NWA had the more wrestling focus and matches that were often top tier, WWF at the time more entertainment focused and the wrestling took a backseat (not to say that the seller match didn't occur at times)

I'm almost positive ALL of us attitude era fans vacationed in sweep city with this 1. I even had multiple answers for some of the songs like Sable/Marc Mero, K-Kwik/R-Truth, HHH/Chyna/Stephanie.
Fun fact: the backwards sounding words on The Brood theme is "I BURIED PAUL"
I thought the backwards message was "I buried Paul." Which in itself is a reference to a conspiracy theory about the Beatles

The voice in broods theme intro (and throughout the song) is saying " I buried Paul" played in reverse.

The Nation had slight variations of that core theme for The Rock and for Owen Hart (along with voiceovers), while the other members shared the core theme. Sort of like X-Pac coming out to his own altered version of DX’s theme.

That HHH theme was used in 99. Steph ended up using it when they formed the McMahon-Helmsley Era.

1995 Madison Square Garden. I got to see HBK vs the Undertaker and I'm not even exaggerating the temperature of the whole Arena went down 10° the second taker came out. It is a Goosebumps moment when you see Undertaker's entrance live. Will always remember see that as a kid. It was amazing!!!!

Everyone singing along to the Wrestlemania tune while Dante goes "I've never heard of that" lol. They used it at the Wrestlemanina theme for several years first, and then as Linda's when they decided to give her a regular theme...for some reason!
The song credited as Hardcore Holly's theme song was actually Crash Holly's theme and used by Hardcore Holly and Crash Holly when they tagged together. Hardcore Holly did use that theme before Crash joined the company but not for long during the Attitude era.
I don't know the name of the the theme Hardcore Holly used for most of the Attitude Era but at some point it got a line "How do you like me now!" near the start of it. That might be the name of the song but I'm unsure.
They basically used the same song for Hardcore and Crash.

Some of these are shared themes. The Acolytes could have easily been viscera, mideon, or the ministry of darkness. Sable could have also been Marc Mero.
In fairness, Attitude Era so Marc Mero would be in his Marvelous gimmick (and awesome theme), not Wildman.
But yeah, same for The Rock. That beat as an instrumental was universal with just tiny tweaks for all Nation members - Godfather, Mark Henry, D'Lo, and even Owen Hart.
Hardcore and Crash both used Slow Death (which also pops up in Dodgeball)

There is also The Rock and Nation Of Domination too. Technically, the Ministry of Darkness also used The Brood's theme when Gangrel and Viscera returned to take down Undertaker when he was feuding with JBL. In the case of Sable's theme, she is arguably more well-known for the theme over Marc Mero, and The Acolytes/The Jackyl is the first thing I thought of for their theme.
Linda McMahon's is also a bit of a trick because it was also the theme for a few Wrestlemanias. I think Mania 10-14, and then they just used it as Linda's theme after that. She better use it when she goes into Cabinet meetings at the White House.

Yep - and it’s even better with the lyrics from Dan-e-o’s “Fangin’ and Bangin’” placed over the top. It’s high up on my playlist after I heard it for the first time when he came to Ballarat, Victoria, Australia this past April for OPW/Bret Hart’s Australian Stampede event. Such a down-to-earth guy is Gangrel, too.
As someone who came up during the attitude era, I recognized all of these themes within the first second.

No that’s incorrect, it was theme during the mid 90s, 93-98. There was another mania theme for the 80s and early 90s.
Debuted in '93 (with lyrics) but was first used as a theme for Wrestlemania X in 1994. (The insturmental kicks in after the clips of Wrestlemania 1 as the WM10 logo spins onto the screen.)

These themes were the soundtrack of my childhood. Grew up in the 90s so wrestling was a large part of my weekly programming. The Monday Night Wars was something to see for sure. I think most can agree that Jim Johnston was undeniably the best when it came to wrestling themes in the attitude era. Like you said, “they don’t make them like they used to.”

Y’all should react with her to the clip of Shawn dressed as Taker, coming out with his music and entrance, lights off and then out of no where DX’s theme hits lights turn on and he throws off the wig and starts dancing out of the trench coat. Undertaker's ministry theme is by far his best one! Once he went back to the original one on 2004 it never felt as interesting. It was just so plodding and dull. Meanwhile, his 98/99 theme has movement, great melody that calls to the original, but keeps things interesting throughout and has a heavy, somber feeling.

Sweep City! The Acolytes tripped me up for about 5 seconds, cuz I knew it was SOMEONE in Ministry of Darkness. Taker's MOD theme goes so hard with the electric guitar from this era, and the gothic chanting underneath.

This was my first sweep city. It helps to have lived that era and owning WM 2000 and WWF No Mercy.
Linda McMahon's theme was also the song of WM until WM 14. If it sounded familiar, that's why.

I also went to Sweep City, and took the express route (guessed each one within a second, including those which multiple wrestlers used - and the wager with Linda/WM). So blessed to be introduced to wrestling during the Attitude Era and Monday Night Wars.

If you remember the Raw Celebration, Stone cold gave the McMahon Family stunners, Linda came out to that theme song and sees what Stone Cold did to Vince, Shane, and Stephanie. Then Linda received the last stunner as Austin celebrated with beer in the ring.

They used the Linda Mcmahon’s song in some wrestlemanias back in the early, maybe mid 90’s. I recognized that as soon as I heard it. Man, I miss those days. So freakin fun watching as a kid in the late 80’s/early 90’s.

Okay a few thoughts notes to mention.
Second one is called Higher Brain Pattern, it was the instrumental version of My Time & Triple H had that theme before the lyrics were added. The Acolytes theme was also used for Ministry members Viscera & Mideon (Anyone who's played Wrestlemaina 2000 can see that) The Hardcore Holly one 'Slow Death' is can be tricky because it was also used & more well accepted as Crash Holly's theme but yes back in the day it was just the Hollys Theme (WWF No Mercy confirms that) Lastly, anyone who's played through Shut Your Mouth or watched most of the old Wrestling Bios videos would know the last one :3

Taker showing up at WM40 had a crazy story. He was there in a skybox watching the event. They asked him Saturday if he could possibly show because they were tryin to get Austin but didn’t think he would show. He literally got a text during night 2 and just left his box to do it.
The Brood message is I buried Paul, walk with me. It's Jim Johntson little hidden messages to his love of The Beatles and the theory that Paul McCartney died and they replaced him with a new Paul. At the end of I am the Walrus it kinda sounds like you can hear someone saying either Paulll, is dead or Paulll, I am dead.

Fun fact, the Triple H instrumental theme was used at the end of 2000 at the armageddon PPV. His Motorhead theme wasn't finished yet, so he used this until January.
