What you are seeing are the "bad" effects. The enhancements turn "natural rolled very bad" into "bad", and "natural rolled bad" into "neutral", but this only happens once, so it doesn't turn very bad into bad into neutral.
I recently changed to turn off chaos control I and II and am now running with power in chaos active so I am seeing all the bad and very bad. I have been cc'd by an otto's irresistible dance, I've been petrified, I have been polymorphed into a rat; im sure there's more. I am uploading soon a list of wild magic effects.
I’m really looking forward to trying this class. I just got done with these Sharn quests this evening. So close to 20. Then I can box up to 28 and finish up. I want all the badness. I don’t party or raid so this looks fun. Unfortunately all my gear is electric boosting since I mostly play artificers. Strinati’s and electric SLAs all the way.
The new spells are great, wild magic system is interesting, eladrin has great racials, the mounts, cosmetics, pets are all cool; the quests, slayer zone, and raid will be in the forgotten realms - I really am loving it all; I think it will be the best DLC since Ravenloft.
I predict the Myth Drannor expansion will be more interesting than the recent Dawntrail expansion from FFXIV. I can’t even count how many times I fell asleep playing FFXIV compared to the high energy of DDO. Even the Gold Road expansion from ESO was boring. Long live Chaosmancer. 😅
I havent yet tried FFXIV, but I think it looks really cool. I used to play ESO but stopped. I plan to try a few new games this summer and I'm super excited about returning to the Forgotten Realms for the Ruins of Myth Drannor.

It would be funny… if the iron pot on your head blinded you, but also gave you crazy prr and mrr/ immunity to damage for the duration.
But you have not even tried the new campaign. Just tried the Chaosmancer. Isn't it too early to say it is good. Or is only the Chaosmancer good?
