Wow, this was fun and informative. Steve Stoliar was such a good guest I am reminded of the early 70's when TV would have retrospectives of movies from the 1930's/40's. Going to the theater and seeing re-released Movies such as Wizard Of Oz, King Kong and Snow White. With my love of Abbott and Costello I got into old time radio shows. A number of years ago on YT I went down the rabbit hole of You Bet Your Life what a fun show that was.

Ike and Jonathan, this may be my favorite episode and conversation. I love The Marx Brothers and Groucho, too. I only wish my friend, Travis, could have seen this. We met on high school and bonded over our love of films and music especially Thr Marx Brothers. Travis was a couple of years older than me and he was painfully shy, but very talented. He could play the piano like Chico Marx and he dabbled into filmmaking. He made a couple of short films. We lost touch after the early 1990s and I tried to find him on social media many years later without success.
Sadly, I found out he had passed away in November 2016 from a stroke. I never got to say goodbye to him, but I also never got a chance to say hello again.
Travis would have loved Pop Culture Retro and he no doubt would have loved this episode. Thank you. 🙏

So bittersweet. But, we loved hearing Steve's stories! Very happy that Travis would've liked this as well.
As always, thank YOU for being a supporter of the show! :)

Great interview. I'm looking forward to the movie. I think Geoffrey Rush will make a very convincing Groucho, and I hope it is a successful return to filmmaking for him.
