I swear I recorded this before East made his video lol. Also I didn't explicitly state it but you do need a tamer on board to ignore the color requirement for the plug in with Taomon

Ban Ruin Mode and this deck is fun without making your opponent just give up because they're locked out of their turn.

I'm quite the new player (About a year now), and being completly honest, this feels really unfair for Renamon/Sakuyamon players. Sakuya was a low tier deck for a while (I know because she was my second deck after Rosemon), so people asking to ban Kuzuha the moment her deck becomes viable instead of the problem cards that are either Taomon Ace (Which enables the loop) or Ruin Mode (Which controls the board with DP reduction) seems overreactive and redundant because both the loop and board control are possible still. A simple errata for Sakuya BT19 to limit her to yellow options does the same as banning Kuzuha.
Also, this reaction seems bullshit after months of Nume/Ukko which was basically the same.

As a blanket response i do want to point out that my position for the ban is not to hit anything pre sakuya x, and then suggesting a hit might be viable after sakuya x releases. I agree that only one part of the loop needs to be hit (if anything), and if you feel strongly that it shouldnt be kuzuha because you want to play the boss monster then thats a totally fair sentiment. Ruin likely wont see a hit as its a SEC rare and theyve refused to hit it in the past and i personally think taomon is more integral to b19/ex8 sakuya seeing success outside of the loop. As far as nume being too good for too long, yea it was and i made multiple videos on the channel talking about it needing hits as well as suggesting that even ruin should be hit. I apologize if it comes off that im pushing a restriction but im really just fishing for the opinions of the community

I loved Sakuya, and my frustration isn't that people want it nerfed the moment it gets good, it's that Bandai chose to make it cracked rather than giving it a reasonable power increase. I felt the same about Vee armors when bt-16 magna was announced. I wanted it to be good enough to show up and have a good time not getting 2-0'd in every game, but not so good that my opponent didn't get to play the game.

Can you stack the order when you play an option with Kuzuhamon? Say for example you played Mega digimon assembly and targeted Kuzu on the field to DNA. Could you use Kuzuhamon's effect to spit out Taomon first, before you DNA digivolved? I saw someone using Taomon in a DNA deck, using Mega Digimon Assembly to combine the level 6 with MagnaGarurumon (BT18-042) to make a variety of different level 7 DNA targets, like UltimateChaosmon, Chaosmon, Ordinaemon and Boltboutmon.

I am not a judge but the way i imagine this interaction works is that the Taomon is spit out upon resolution of the option from Kuzuhamon. Once assembly is resolved, Kuzuhamon is no longer on the field to resolve playing out Taomon. My basis for this is that if you use calling on minerva, you cant choose to grab minerva back from trash or its effect fizzles, so id assume once kuzuha leaves board for the DNA the rest of its effect fizzles.

Yeah this loop has way to much set up and doesnt just apit out a new body every turn and as far as i can tell you can really only make this loop achievable in one deck which is definitely no where near enough viability to be ban worthy

I feel like this loop, while neat, isn’t that strong. It requires multiple specific cards, some of which are megas, that you don’t really want in your hand to start the game with. And by the time you could set it up, your opponent could have enough resources to mount a defense against it. It certainly is strong, but I feel it requires too much set up to be considered ban worthy.

Thats pretty much where im at with it too. I think when it goes off it goes off really hard (hence the JP tops) and when it doesnt theyre just gonna spin their wheels and do nothing. Im definitely interested to see where ex8 takes it though. Could be some adaptations that make it better or it might even fall off for just tribal sakuya
