I looked everywhere for a mod or a cheat to prevent this from happening, but there's nothing available for v1.9.0. Is there a work around that I haven't thought of? Pleeeeaaassse help!
If I had to add 5 more to that list it would probably be: EncyclopediaExtender, FireArrows, Party Screen Enhancements, War Cry & Immersive Sergeant. There are more, bigger, mods I consider essential for my games, but these are all very small and don't really change the game.
Can we get voices that sound more like an experienced commander not one ruining their voice or with a disease? I want the opera singer with a trained voice

a good mod for immersion is random events. its just stuff happening once in a while. youll get a textbox describing an event. it gets repetitive after a while but i do really like it. the author of the mod adds new events once in a while i broke bannerlord with my modding and i cant figure out what i did wrong. the save was working for 50 hours and then it broke all of a sudden :D
True, I play with it for approximately 10 hours and it's awesome. I wonder what will happen about the very long message where you got absolutely clueless and weting the bed

I've tried these mods and can't get almost any combination of them to work. I'm a bit more experienced with modding in Skyrim, but man I suck at modding in Bannerlord. Any one have any tips?
It's a bit hard to diagnose in the comments section because I won't get a notice of your reply (thanks youtube), some one of the most common issues is not running the DLL unblocker. I forget to do this all the time actually lol. Another big one is putting the mods in the correct order. There are 4 support mods (butterlib, uiextender, etc.) that need to go before the base game modules, then all of these other mods need to go after. Did you try to install one mod at a time to see if you can get them to work? If you can't get a single mod working then there might be an issue with your game files and I have literally no clue how to handle that. Hopefully something in here helps!
@@Strat-Guides Thank you so so much. I think it was the DLL blocker. I found another video you did and followed that and it seems to be working now. You're the man!
Yeah that's a good one too! I don't use it as much since I mostly fight them in person to get the content for videos, but it's much better than the base game's calculations.
Thanks! Yeah there are a few other things the mod does really well that an autoclicker can't like getting rid of the pop up each time you make an item lol it's nice at first but when you're trying to bulk smith it's really annoying. The mod also labels the weapons with a tag - so if you don't have the skill required it adds the tags "broken" or "rusty" etc. and if you get a lucky roll with the perks it labels "fine" and "master".
Thanks- most I already use but not all....thanks for helping people with your guides. Also, enjoy your current campaign even tho my character is .........really really bad :)
hmmm, what if you paired the machinegun crossbow mod and skill level of 1034? and also, how fast can you travel with only horsemen, no herd penalty, etc with scouting 1023? I would like to see the RRS with that. especially in battania with most of its settlements close by.... campaign idea: battania is fractured and the calradic empire has basically united all the kingdoms other than battania. you, while only having a couple of castles and a few hideouts have to protect battania whilst considered an outlaw. the objective of this campaign is to unite battania. you start with 2 castles, probably the ones on the outskirts of battania the castles only start with 50 T3 units of your choice you start with 300 scouting, and add 50skill every level your main charecter levels up. use the foubrie mod to beable to use the hangout feature for the RRS. you are always at war with everybody. you can ONLY use battanian culture units maybe add calradia expanded?
Lol that's an interesting one! I have to save a few of those for a future video because I do have some answers :) Oh man that sounds like a challenge. I think both fiefs would be lost pretty quickly, but as long as the money is coming in from battles, it wouldn't matter much. It's probably doable!
Wisdom attribute, I wonder what that does. Some seem overpowered, but making things easier with fewer clicks sounds good. I find smithing bad in full release, and if the smithing mod works, I want it. I put an alternate mouse on the side to save the game mouse. I'll try Smithing and RTS, then Tutelage. Must one do the old standard of starting a new campaign? Do these work on 1.8? thanks
That row is for the Banner Kings mod :) I'm pretty sure they have versions of these mods that work in 1.8. Most of the good mods are not updated so they work on older versions.
I wish they were all on workshops. I've used nexusmods for a while on different games, but it's always a hassle to set it up and I'd rather avoid it. So I won't try most mods you listed though I'm curious, just out of laziness really :P
The only one on this list that I have from the Workshop is Tutelage. I know there are a few others that are on the workshop but some of them are not. I used Nexus and did manual installs here just because I already knew most of these mods were there and I wanted to make it easier to maintain one big list.
I play on ps5, is there such a thing as mods on ps5? Side note, i completed the story by capturing empire enemies and chopping heads. Its a hell of a grind. On some forums i think people still think its glitched but im happy to say, i did it!! Story mode vanilla completed 🥳 players will need a fast cavalry only party for the hunt, speed is key. Thanks for all your tips.
They have not added mod support for consoles yet, but I really hope they do soon! I keep telling people to go on the forums and request it - maybe if enough people ask they will make it a priority? Haha nice, nothing wrong with removing heads :)
Does someone know if dismounted cavalry gets commander perks for infantry? And are dismounted elite catapracts better infantry than imperial legionaries?
Anyone know a mod that automaticaly picks companion perks off a template? it gets harder and harder to pick the same perks if you have a bunch of companions
I've only got Tutelage from the workshop running and everything else is Nexus. I'm not sure for other mods or if you accidentally add the same mod on both if it causes issues, but from what I understand there should be no issues mixing the two. Yeah once you load up the mod page, everything just shows up there and you move them around for load order, but there's no way to tell which mods came from where.
Wich version of the game do you use for these mods ive been trying to make it work for anhour and my game keeps crashing everytime right at the start is there a specific order to them on the mods list? Thanks for all the great content btw!!
I was using these on 1.0.3. Make sure you ran the DLL unblocker as well before you launch, otherwise it's CTD at the start. These smaller mods shouldn't matter for load order, as long as they come after the base game modules. Also, some of them require the 4 support mods. Check the description of this video for the full list in the exact order that I used: ua-cam.com/video/3NUcYWZM2_E/v-deo.html&ab_channel=StratGaming
Yes, I run a business outside of UA-cam that pays the bills and I'm building UA-cam as a business to diversify away from having to run that business personally, and need more income to save for stuff for the kids future like college, vacations, etc. I'm going to make a video before the end of the month going over the money I've made from UA-cam! I'll have screenshots and a full analysis for you to see :)
@@Strat-Guides Thx, Just found out that there is a 1.1.0 version. I was looking at the wrong posting of the mod which only goes up to 1.6 I already started rolling back my game to 1.0.2 to play some eagle rising and see if I can get peasants and some other stuff to work together with serve as a soldier. Been having some nasty crashes lately so I think I have to start messing with DLL and stuff. Hot Butter was a bad idea.
I did a mod install guide a few months back that should cover everything! Most of the time, the game crashes because the DLL files are still locked. There is a small folder you can download from Nexus that unlocks them for you, all you have to do it open up the .exe and press enter :)
Sounds like you might have an issue on your end because I'm running these mods on every campaign since the full launch including the most recent patch and have had 0 issues. Are you running other mods? You might have something conflicting there. Also, I know several other people who are using these mods currently and have no issues.
Hey Strat, did You know that You could hold Enter instead of clicking Forge/Refine/Smelt in base game? It's way faster and it actually was included from the start :)
the only one I've used and cant play without is RTS cam. im used to using it's main feature, but most importantly it's the ability to command troops after death. if i dont have it, ill just die in battle (boring to stand back) and then ragequit when troops do something stupid and lose the battle.
Ctrl and Shift as modifiers for how many units you use/move is a really, really underutilized thing in video games. Morrowind (ctrl click moves one of a stack, shift click moves all of a stack, both skip asking how many you want to move) and Mount and Blade (but not everywhere, since this mod is a thing) are the only two games I can think of that do it.
Dude. Thanks. Three of these are huge for me. I could have sworn I had seen you smithing and I hadn't noticed this mod! Best thing evar. And RTS Camera. I had no idea it did the little take over a character thingy. That rocks. I love that. Character reload is all your character editing needs in one handy mod. Thanks thanks thanks.
@@Strat-Guides Am I missing something or does the smithing mod delete the stage where it shows all your bonuses on a weapon when your perks kick in? That's a bit of a drag. Not the end of the universe. Hopefully maybe I'm just wrong, but I have crafted a few weapons since installing it and I miss the screen where it gives all the plusses and minuses on each crafting.
Talking about getting cramp in my mouse finger: is there any mod where you can see if there's been a companion leveling up and who got focus points? In vanilla, currently you only get a short message in the gameplay screen that fades, but in the middle of gameplay it is quickly overlooked, in addition in the Character menu only the Perk Skill upgrades are indicated (with a number on the top and an orange dot in the dropdown menu itself), but NOT the focus and attribute points, neither the fact which character has just received a focus point. So currently I have to click through all characters' pages in the Character menu to see if there's been a leveling up (often to find out there has been, some time ago), which is annyoying once you have 30+ characters through family expansion.
That's a good question, I would love to know too lol. I run a lot of companion heavy campaigns and when I get to the 40 - 50 companion mark I just stop looking and leave them alone!
@@Strat-Guides Thanks for your fast reply :) btw, YT has age verification (via Id or CC) on some of your videos, like the "Is BL boring?" I just wanted to watch. Do you have any alternative platform where these can be watched without BigBro watching over our shoulders?
Yeah it's pretty crazy! I only use it to speed time up mostly, but when I need to run tests or get a cool intro video done it can help to take control of both sides.
Tutelage looks interesting, and I hope that it gets uploaded to Nexus someday as sadly not all of us have Bannerlord on Steam. :( Party Screen Enhancements is another quality of life mod that I have in every play-through which doesn't add cheese, just the simple ability to re-order your party screen instead of drag dropping them all the time...just another feature which should be in the base game.
What about the super speed toggle mod? Speeds up simulations, for if you want sieges to just end or find a big pack of looters just to send your companions in to clean up and get really nice XP. Also if you outnumber someone in a simulation they go stand in the far corner of the map, you just move your troops closer and speed up so it doesn't take 5 min to move everyone over.
On unlimitedcap the parties actually doesn't effect your party size, but rather the maximum number of parties led by companions and family you can have. Also, I've found that unlimitedcap had a glitch that caused all of the other kingdoms to declare war on whatever kingdom you're a vassal of. I don't believe it applies to mercenaries, and I don't know about kings.
I'm fairly certain that it isn't a glitch, just an oversight in design. Kingdoms in Bannerlord are weird at diplomacy, and will declare war on other kingdoms that are weaker (makes sense), and also other kingdoms that are stronger (what?). I assume this is a mechanic that curtails domination by one kingdoms when multiple weaker kingdoms seek to restore balance of power. Each kingdom's strength is based on the number of parties (maybe available parties?), number of men, and number of notables. If you have a ton of companions, the other kingdoms will think your kingdom is becoming a new Empire and seek to join forces to stop it. It seems that companions are considered lords or nobles or something once you become a vassal.
@@brandonzzz9924 When this happened to me my kingdom was relatively even, maybe slightly ahead, was declared war on by like 3 kingdoms, declared war on another 3, and lost half of their territories whilst declaring war on anyone else that they could. It seemed like a huge glitch for me as I'd never had a kingdom that was behind be so aggressive in declaring wars while still at war with other kingdoms. I also had no additional parties at the time, maybe a couple caravans.
@@jaredare2710 I heard someone say that party limit and companion limit are taken into diplomacy (maybe a year ago). My guess is that it is not a glitch, just thoughtless code. I've had the same happen and it seems that the diplomacy is coupled to a bunch of different non-diplomatic variables. I'm still at Paradox level modding, so I can't look at the code to tell you what's going on, but I suspect it's the ai relative strength evaluation that is heavily skewed towards the player in order to center the campaign on the player. Hopefully they add a setting for ai aggression at some point. Or allow charm skill to work in diplomacy. That would be cool
They are part of the Banner King mod. Some of them are really good! Like one perk lets you have ALL perks in either steward or medicine (so you get both sides, no more having to pick between the two)
Strat can you do me favor. I think your the best one who can do this. Can you go over the point or utility of a castle or a mercenary / vassal. Or the benefits of having a second party and what not. I'm tier 3 with a castle and I'm not even ready for. I watched the videos on how to manage it but man I don't know what the he'll I'm doing. I have low prosperity and loyalty and no bricks. Help me my guy help me.
Yeah I can add that topic to the list and hopefully i'll have time to get to it! So what exactly are you having issues with? Is the making the fief profitable? Just to make sure I understand what to cover :)
@@Strat-Guides for instance i own a castle and that belonged to the northern empire ( I'm apart of western empire), and my castel is at the border of the northern empire. we are constantly at war . and no matter what I do I cant get the loyalty because we keep getting raided not the castle but the settlements. Since Ive made enough money and strengthen my numbers I decided to not join the war with the southern northern and the aseri. and try to guard my area. i noticed little guys running from the settlements and what not. i nvr noticed them I guess they bring the resources from the location, so I try to protect them. and patrol my area. I didn't know that by doing so I would make a lot of influence and that those dudes have to make it back to the castle for it to grow. stuff like that is a whole other game in its self. I'm not sure if the mod has issues with other mods, but I'm running a list of 10+ and it works just fine. The biggest thing is making sure the DLL files are unblocked - you can get the DLL unblocker on Nexus. You just run the .exe and it should clear up that problem (assuming that's what it is).

Character reloaded goes amazing with distinguished service cause you can raise a troop up from the ranks, and then customise them :) use it to change the ones I want to be governors to the right culture
Fantastic list of mods. A couple I knew of already, but the rest are going immediately into my next campaign. Thanks for this.
a good mod for immersion is random events. its just stuff happening once in a while. youll get a textbox describing an event. it gets repetitive after a while but i do really like it. the author of the mod adds new events once in a while
i broke bannerlord with my modding and i cant figure out what i did wrong. the save was working for 50 hours and then it broke all of a sudden :D
True, I play with it for approximately 10 hours and it's awesome. I wonder what will happen about the very long message where you got absolutely clueless and weting the bed
Oh no! I hate when that happens. The only 2 mods that have ever "bricked" my save were Serve as a Soldier and Diplomacy. Not sure if you're using either of those?
@@Strat-Guides it always chrashes when a child comes out of age. maybe i should use the mod you suggested to age it.
i have family control and bastard children. furthermore i used the send messenger option from diplomacy to make children via messenger. it was really stupid. furthermore using bastard children and family control led to some bizare situations, where my character (female) birthed 3 children in 3 days. she is 40 years and has 20 children.

I don't know if you still check this but I use mods from the steam workshop because the mods from tje nexus never work or I don't see them
“Wait until fully rested” is another good QoL smithing mod
I wonder if it works with Banner Kings? It forces you to wait the time out because you have to pay for the smithing time.
Now you can properly roleplay Ysgramor and his 500 companions
Auto resolve rebalanced my friend.
Yeah that's a good one too! I don't use it as much since I mostly fight them in person to get the content for videos, but it's much better than the base game's calculations.
Modified Derthert looked like he wanted pictures of Spider-Man.
Damn I wish the base game gave you control of your companions after you get downed. That'd be sick.
Oh and carbon body because I like my female characters thicc
So realistic weather just counter measure to fian champ.

Hi
Hello!
Great video like always! I use an auto clicker for Smithing but the mod you talk about seems better.
No problem, I'm happy to be part of this amazing community :)
just fyi, the "EquipBestItem" link directs you to the wrong mod. It's actually linking "Always Keep Horses and Food"
Got it, my copy paste was short one number on the end lol it's fixed now. Thanks!
hmmm, what if you paired the machinegun crossbow mod and skill level of 1034? and also, how fast can you travel with only horsemen, no herd penalty, etc with scouting 1023? I would like to see the RRS with that. especially in battania with most of its settlements close by....
campaign idea: battania is fractured and the calradic empire has basically united all the kingdoms other than battania. you, while only having a couple of castles and a few hideouts have to protect battania whilst considered an outlaw. the objective of this campaign is to unite battania.
you start with 2 castles, probably the ones on the outskirts of battania
the castles only start with 50 T3 units of your choice
you start with 300 scouting, and add 50skill every level your main charecter levels up.
use the foubrie mod to beable to use the hangout feature for the RRS.
you are always at war with everybody.
you can ONLY use battanian culture units
maybe add calradia expanded?
Lol that's an interesting one! I have to save a few of those for a future video because I do have some answers :)
Oh man that sounds like a challenge. I think both fiefs would be lost pretty quickly, but as long as the money is coming in from battles, it wouldn't matter much. It's probably doable!
thanks for the list. :D
are they all compatible with the latest release? (1.2?)
(And for the preview of the campaign on your ther channel ;P)
Yup! I've got all of these running on 1.0.3 but I had them running in the previous patch as well.
Character Reload is my must have mod.
Yeah me too, hopefully the mod authors add them soon.
Are these mods from steam workshop?
Really makes you feel like the Butterlord.
Hi, will it fix the crafted weapons bug when we load again the campaign? Bec crafted weapons still lose their buff in vanilla.
I'm not sure if they fixed that one or not
Does someone know if dismounted cavalry gets commander perks for infantry? And are dismounted elite catapracts better infantry than imperial legionaries?
It just depends on the perks they have and which formation they lead.
Please do a trophy/ achievement guide
Anyone know a mod that automaticaly picks companion perks off a template? it gets harder and harder to pick the same perks if you have a bunch of companions
I'm not sure if Character Reloader has that ability, but it might
Are there any issues running steam workshop mods with nexus mods? Do you just handle it all in the bannerlord launcher?
Any of the crafted items problem showing in shops or anywhere if using character reloaded?
I have not run into any problems myself, but that's a small sample size. I've not heard from anyone else either so I think it's okay.
Thanks man really appreciated
Do you work other than youtube? How much money did you get from youtube?
Best wishes
Yes, I run a business outside of UA-cam that pays the bills and I'm building UA-cam as a business to diversify away from having to run that business personally, and need more income to save for stuff for the kids future like college, vacations, etc.
I'm going to make a video before the end of the month going over the money I've made from UA-cam! I'll have screenshots and a full analysis for you to see :)
Does character reload work on 1.1.2 or 1.1.3?
Yup!
@@Strat-Guides Thx, Just found out that there is a 1.1.0 version. I was looking at the wrong posting of the mod which only goes up to 1.6
I already started rolling back my game to 1.0.2 to play some eagle rising and see if I can get peasants and some other stuff to work together with serve as a soldier. Been having some nasty crashes lately so I think I have to start messing with DLL and stuff. Hot Butter was a bad idea.
10:59 is rts camera mod compatible with latest patches? there is a lot of comments that it crashes on nexus page on this mod...
Personally I have not had any issues with the RTS camera mod on any of the last 4 or 5 big patches, including the current patch.
Bannerlord crashes every time.a try and mod it you should do a modding explanation video
I did a mod install guide a few months back that should cover everything! Most of the time, the game crashes because the DLL files are still locked. There is a small folder you can download from Nexus that unlocks them for you, all you have to do it open up the .exe and press enter :)
Wish these were all on steam :( steams workshop has me too lazy to keep checking nexus lol
Yeah seriously! It's hard to keep a list on both so I usually just use one or the other. Smooth-brain style lol
most of these mods dont work with the current build... pointless video
Can you make a video on how to become the ruler of an existing faction
That's a tough one! There are ways to do it, but not reliably. I'll run a few tests to see if I can come up with something.
Do these mods require a new campaign or can it work for an existing one?
These should all be usable on any save! I've loaded some save files that are from 5 or 6 patches ago before I used mods and they loaded up no problem.
Sadly no mods in console 😔
Dude.
Yeah these are just about essential for me at this point lol I would have a hard time without them :)
The good old Benny Hill 12:21
Are all of these compatible with 1.0.3?
Yup, I'm currently on 1.0.3 :)
@@Strat-Guides Thanks for your fast reply :)
btw, YT has age verification (via Id or CC) on some of your videos, like the "Is BL boring?" I just wanted to watch. Do you have any alternative platform where these can be watched without BigBro watching over our shoulders?
Never knew RTS had so many functions 😮
Yeah it's pretty crazy! I only use it to speed time up mostly, but when I need to run tests or get a cool intro video done it can help to take control of both sides.
Tutelage looks interesting, and I hope that it gets uploaded to Nexus someday as sadly not all of us have Bannerlord on Steam. :( Party Screen Enhancements is another quality of life mod that I have in every play-through which doesn't add cheese, just the simple ability to re-order your party screen instead of drag dropping them all the time...just another feature which should be in the base game.
Can you make a updated native faction tier list?
I'll add it to my list! If I have time I'll be sure to cover it :)
Oooh great idea for a video, keep up the good work Strat!
Thanks!
What are your favorite BIG mods? 🤩
RBM, Fourberie and De Re Militari/True Armies of Calradia for sure! Currently still figuring out Banner Kings but it's a good one too
Console player pain
What about the super speed toggle mod? Speeds up simulations, for if you want sieges to just end or find a big pack of looters just to send your companions in to clean up and get really nice XP. Also if you outnumber someone in a simulation they go stand in the far corner of the map, you just move your troops closer and speed up so it doesn't take 5 min to move everyone over.
Me on Xbox crying
Are you gonna cover overhaul mods by any chance?

Character reloaded is a lifesaver ty
It's so good!! Saves me so much time and opens up a ton of possibilities for custom campaigns :)
Fantastic review on many mods really appreciate it🔥🔥
0:43 man what are those skills avobe vigor?

They are part of the Banner King mod. Some of them are really good! Like one perk lets you have ALL perks in either steward or medicine (so you get both sides, no more having to pick between the two)
@@Strat-Guides My honest reaction to this information: I'LL TAKE YOUR ENTIRE STOCK!

I didn't even know I can make money off a keep or how it works. Hello! It's very good list, but for me - better smithing don't work. Game won't launch...
