- Clips and photos from two days on the Mach loop. A quiet day on Cad West, followed by a busy morning on The Bwlch.
ZJ913 is the 2024 Typhoon display team jet MOGGY. Paint scheme from a 1944 257 Squadron Hawker Typhoon for 80th Anniversary of D-Day
Also seen are USAF F15's, RAF Hawks and Texan, and a RN Merlin
Now THAT’s a Typhoon !!! Best Eurofighter livery ever ❤❤❤

I understood the white stripes were Normandy Landing stripes to set them apart from German fighters.

30 years of Eurofighter EF-2000 Typhoon in 2024, 50/35 years of F-15/F-15E in 2022/2021, 50 years of BAE Hawk in 2024 and 35 years of AgustaWestland/Leonardo AW101 in 2022.

The Typhoon's are very pretty, with those supermodel chiseled looks, but the F15 is sexy AF.
They look great and sound awesome. They set a car alarm off each time they came through, typhoons didn't manage that 😆
Superb vids and photos Dave. I live near LKZ/MHZ so see these F15's a lot and on occasions the Typhoons fly over my house but I'd love to get over to the mach loop one day. Subbed you 👌👍

How do you guys know when they’re flying, is there information online somewhere or is it just pot luck sit, wait and hope?
I avoid Fridays, fog/low cloud forcasts to try and boost chance as much as possible, but the rest is luck. Also check facebook pages for conningsby and Lakenheath to make sure the bases aren't on night operations.

It's from the exhaust for the APU.

I just think it's a nice touch from the RAF, with a frontline Typhoon FMOG or Moggie. (just like preserving the Chinnock Bravo November......thank you RAF.)
But don't forget it's a reflection to mark the D - DAY invasion, the losses on both sides, are proof that war doesn't solve all problems in life.
The generations of people who laid down their lives must never be forgotten in our lifetime or in the future too.
Time WW1 and WW2 and the Falklands war is taught in all our schools, with visits to a local RAF Museum to be made part of classroom experience.
When I was a kid we visited a local fire station, got to meet coppers, I saw more armed forces veterans marching on remembrance Sunday in November, than in the actual armed forces service personnel in active service.

I thought the RAF had scrapped its 2-seater Typhoons ?
There is at least two, as saw ZK383 last month and its ZK379 in this video
Can anyone fly this route? Or is it military only?
It's non regulated airspace, if you look back at one of my older videos a L39 went through which is privately owned. Guess it's similar to you could legally fly a drone there, but there is now signs up everywhere warning people not to.

I’ve worked alongside typhoon for a long time and I love it. But for me, that scheme just doesn’t suit it/work at all…….sorry! Great footage ❤️
It seems to have divided opinions a lot. I don't think it's as good as GiNA was, but I prefer it over blackjack
