Can they do it when the pressure is on!? Anyway.....the lakers main problem is defense. They can score in a variety of ways, but cannot seem to stop the other top tier teams when it matters. Particularly in the paint. Lebron has been know through his career as one of the most unslefish superstars in history, and is no where near trying to avg his career highs.

LeBron James has been the system for a team since his second season in the NBA. He controls the tempo, decides who gets involved on offense, and is the primary ball-handler and scorer. So the other players naturally defer to him.
As for playing like this when James comes out of the game, he is 18th in the NBA in minutes per game at 35.2. It may be too much to expect players to shift gears that drastically when James is out less than 13 minutes per game.
I am a Die-Hard Warriors fan, back when Chris Mullin was drafted by the Warriors, there is 1 player I want to see get a Ring, and that is Dame Lillard, because he has put his heart and soul in to the NBA and to the city of Portland, for the last 15 Years

Don't understand how people think LeBron isn't already taking a step back, every game he lets Dlo and Reaves handle the ball, and in those games the lead usually dissappears whenever LeBron takes a rest and he has to actually try and score afterwards lol. It's not LeBrons issue if players get nervous playing with him, that's on them.
Just wanna point out the Lakers this season are 6-4 without LeBron on the court. Why is this significant?
Because for years teams led by LeBron have always struggled and played poorly without his presence on the court. This team he’s playing with is different. To have at least 3-4 guys that can get you 20 or more and I’m not including AD. 🤷🏽♂️ it just shows me that the Lakers can compete and have a real shot at the chip. Maybe not the best shot but it’s a shot.

Lebron was doing that last year as well. Last year and this year, Lebron has played more off the ball than any other time in his career outside of playing with Wade or Kyrie. He would do that with Wade and Kyrie because he could trust them and they were consistent.
