im having a problem with my epson 7210. it was just working perfectly but from one day to the next it would intermittently print and then all of a sudden start throwing out a pahntom paper jam. it now only prints in letter page size and normal print quality. as soon as you change those settings it triggers a phantom paper jam. how can i fix this i have already checked all sensors and duplexer, any help or direction is appreciated
Do you have Epson Photointerrupter for a WF-7210 ? I think that is my problem. The lever looks to work fine. The printer will take the paper. when I go to print the paper then spits out completely and gives me a jammed paper error.
I got the ejection lever fixed and the printer back together but it says ink cartridge cover open then gives an error. Could this be the data cable? I cleaned it. I did get the printer to boot 1 time.
My epson 7710 is having a false paper jam error right now. When testing the Ejection Leveler while still in the printer, the only thing I am looking for is the way the lever falls back and forth, right? If it falls back and forth smoothly then the lever is not broken and it's the photo interrupter malfunctioning?
What if the wf7720 says paper jam but no jam and the eject lever is good. But when printer tries to pick up paper from either cassette it makes a hard CLICK sound and says paper jam. But will print from rear feeder. I can not find the source of the hard snapping click that throws paper jam. It won't print checks or reports from cassettes so I can't do any check or cleanings
@@RoxyGarcia2013 no I didn't my wf actually bit the dust wouldn't put color on paper but it would print like it was. I would by pass this issue above by using rear print feed. I got it sitting in the corner now collecting dust. I bought the ET8550 GAME CHANGER PRINTER THE BEST !!!
this is another good tutorial, wf parts are getting hard to come by actually. On a side question, can I you please explain to me what is the cause of a ringing or beeping long sound from the head then stop printing.. no error code .. sometimes its very long about half to a minute.. then print some lines then beep again? this is still happening even just opening the printer and changing the cr motor? as always thank you very much..
@@BCHTechnologies Understand.. but its not related to the scanner door, rigged it . when it stop printing it beep sometimes long beep the head does not go to purge unit (like when scanner door is open) then it print slow.. beeping stoping ang printing every minute. There is no error code, the cr motor is below 36C, is there such thing of overheating head due to continues printing? Again thanks..
@@BCHTechnologies would you believe that the issue is the carriage, somehow it is not slidding across the rail causing overheating signal either to cr motor or head. I've replace the carriage now its working fine, tested also the head to other unit.. it works fine also, so the real culprit is the heda carriage assembly..
My 7710 is absolutely doing this but I’m a dummy at fixing machines. Do you have a mail in repair service. Or does your business buy machines that need repair? I also have a 7720 experiencing hardware issues.
Kevin your videos are very informative but I wish you had one on putting the epson 7720 back together. I am having a problem redoing the LCD Screen
I do. Search for "uncasing" in my channel.
My printer jammed only with high quality printing setting or printing two sides, in other cases it works normally.
Have any solution please
Same problem here with 7710
Didi you fix it? and if yes can you tell me please how and where was the problem? Thanks

Did you ever find a solution… im dealing with this same issue
@@RoxyGarcia2013 My photo interupter was malfunctioning. I had to buy new parts and install them
Was it hard to replace ? How long did it take you ? Did you purchase the parts from the website he mentioned ?
you know. you are a very good person Masha Allah. Allah bless you

My wf 7710 works fine with letter sized paper both front and rear feed, but when I set to print 13x 19 it will have fake jam. ..
@@StitchAndMakeUSAI haven't tried a smaller paper in the rear feed on mine, only 13x19 and the phantom jam is so annoying
Mine is doing the phantom jam only from cassette 1. So annoying

It could be a couple of things. Have you checked the door sensor and make sure it's not malfunctioning?
@@BCHTechnologies what is the door sensor? also can you repair a shorted board?
@@c2sartinkprinthub757 It's the push-down sensor near the LCD panel. If you have a short there, the printer will think the scanner cover is open.
