Extremely useful, used the video to strip down my printer to get at a displaced paper guide. a couple of points: at 1:07 you say you can just disconnect the cable into the front panel. If you just pull it out it actually comes out of the socket at an angle which may damage the connector. The top edge of the front panel easily pops off and gives direct access to the connector so the cable can be removed without stress. You have to remove this edge piece anyway to reconnect that cable. Also at 2:54 you ease off the casing but you haven't mentioned removing the two deep screws at the front. It won't come off without those removed. Excellent and helpful video, saved me buying a new printer!
Top tip; I had to reseat a pressure plate (5 off white plastic bits to right of cartridge run at 3:07 ) each plate holds a small black pressure roller and is spring loaded against the main paper transport roller. The small rollers are clipped into the plastic part but not very securely so, as you wrestle with the spring and the plate, it pops out and you have to start again. I found that the roller could be tied into the plate with a thin wire or thread which can be cut and removed after all the parts are located. Makes life easier.
epson has bad warranty support so i have to fix error 100016 or whatever which is a scanner error that grinds and this is helpful thank you . gotta fix my epscam now
Fantastic. Not my model but the suggestion to go to your website was greatly appreciated. My 3-in-1 device WF-7250 had a broken hinge. aaaaaaai was able to find a replacement easily on AliExpress.
Hey Kevin can you tell me why my 7720 keeps giving me a out of paper on Cassette 1 error??? There's plenty of paper in it and epson couldn't figure it out, it's practically brand new I've had it for 3 years and I only used it literally a few times I never left ink cartridges inside when it's not in use.
Hi Kevin thanks for this great video. My 7710 will not feed paper completely. It makes a load popping noise then feeds paper halfway. It will feed regular printer paper but no other type of paper. Also it says it's jammed but it's not. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks again for the videos they a re a big help.
Hi I took apart the printer as shown in the video. When you mentioned that the display will come off it gave me some trouble and he ribbon cable going to it pulled out of the connection. When I put everything back in the printer does not power on. I believe it's that ribbon because it doesn't connect firmly. What's your take? and how do you take apart the display?
@@youarenotyourtraumapodcast I had to take the display off several times before I was able to get the ribbon back into its slot. It's difficult to see when I was attempting to install it back in. On mine, it's a black piece and the ribbon slides in. My only suggestion is to line it up with the display without the display hooked up so that you can get a good idea of how and where to push it in. That's the best advice I can offer.
I have the WF-7710. Have tried everything to unclog printhead. Any ideas? I took the printhead out. I cleaned the printhead. I used the solution.... NOTHING
Kevin, I went to BCH to purchase the workflow for the WF-7710 WF-7720 and did not see it, did I just miss it? Thanks for the video, been waiting for this one!
Good day sir Kenvin can you help me to understand how paper feeder works on this model?thank you for the information on how to remove case and scanner. i be waiting for part two of your video. :)
