i'M a John Deere Tech from Nebraska and I love watching your channel. You do a very good job showing how a modern family farm operates and you do a very good job educating people about the equipment and farm life. Your videos and video editing is amazing. Have watched other farming channels and yours by far is the most interesting and informative. Hope your channel continues to grow with subscribers. Keep up the good work.

For crying out loud you two are adorable. I’ve been watching since the beginning and it’s so nice to see you two living life together, working together. Your parents must be so proud of you two.

Grant needs a new toy - er Video accessory. Get a drone ! Unbelievable video of up close combine drive-by footage and then an quick elevation increase so you can see where the combine is going then flip around to show what it done did. Laura - love your infectious smile and total enthusiasm for farming. I don't think I could smile as much as you do, knowing how hard farm work is and the gamble you take to bring in a crop (weather, equipment problems, injury). Still great video's and info.

Envious! We are still planting, and you’ve already got 3”-4” growth showing up in your field! Congratulations Grant on finally getting your mouse!😂 Laura will finally ride in your truck again. The wood working on that rolling pin looked incredible with the contrasting wood colors in it! I agree Laura, the time to make all of those wood working gifts is absolutely amazing. A lot of love behind those type of gifts!

Thanks for the shoutout for Lockwood's, I grew up with Lockwood potato and beet equipment. I remember when they added pivots. Like the status on how corn grows, and had never forgotten about watching the corn emerge....That day of seeing the corn above ground is always special. Have a great time and season.

I used to set up Lockwoods in the 70’s it would take two of us 4.5 days to get it assembled after it arrived, we did 100s of them over several years. Some time the farmer would help assemble we did some in 16 hrs.

Laura , i swear if i didnt know better i would think you go out just before dark. You read your crops stories and tuck them in so they are healthy . one of my classmates had that same energy with his feeder pigs. You rock, i love watching you .

I remember working in southern Indiana one summer, if you drive by those cornfields and stop and if the wind wasn’t blowing I swear you could hear that corn growing.

Actually corn grows more at night on a calm warm humid night you can hear the joints popping. During the day the leaves are producing nutrients that go into the roots and then during the night they do their thing.

Isn't it so satisfying to watch the corn sprouting before you've finished all of the planting? The fruits of your labor? Those plants looked rigorous like they are on steroids! LOL! Fertilizer rocks! So did that RX8 and the 24 row planter! Loved watching all of this make Laura's face glowing with smiles!
That Chevy truck with the litter on the floor is a representative of most all farm trucks in the world. I have rode to my deer hunting stands and fishing ponds every year in such pick em up trucks! It wouldn't seem right not having to push the empty bottles and cans on the floor to the side to put my feet down! The mice are also typical as my uncle had one or two in his along with chipmunks that built nests from the foam rubber they pulled from the seats.
Grant, why don't you pull those gear boxes and replace those seals a few at a time every year until you get them all rebuilt? I know, it is a pain and it's easier to drain them and add new oil. LOL I hear ya!
Lots of nice thoughtful creative gifts being sent in. I'm still trying to think of something to send you all that is unique because I really enjoy your videos more than any movie or TV show. Real good people doing good productive things is my entertainment anymore! Thanks for doing what you do and just being yourselves! This is what America is really about, not the emotional train wrecks that we always see on social media and in the news anymore.

Grant, you did good with the trimmer, because that's what your wife wanted. My wife asked specifically for a Stihl FS 131R for Mothers Day and she LOVES her new trimmer. She also asked for a Stihl MS 170, because she wants a chainsaw of her own. She says my FarmBoss is too heavy for her. She's getting that saw for her birthday. Shhhh, don't tell her. A good husband gets his wife nice things that she wants, not what others "think" a wife "should" want. City folks don't get it, and they never will. It's like the Freightliner joke. They won't get it.

I live in Phoenix, Arizona, and I have had killdeer hatchings/living in my front yard @ different times. They were about 10 feet from my front door. They were a little nervous at first but they stay till the hatchlings could run around, then one day they were gone. The little guys seem to be ALL legs when they run around. Very interesting seeing them here. There are some golf courses nearby, so I guess that's where they go.

farm boy here... that planter, does it mount to the tractor's drawbar, or is it 3-point only? not sure how tracks can be smoother than tires, they have ZERO cushioning, kinda cancels out the low-compaction aspect... tracks might be okay travelling straight, but that elongated-rectangle contact patch makes for very hard turning compared to tires, even when dualled up...
