- STUNNED we found THIS BURIED under this Overgrown Grass but that wasn't it...
2 years ago, I mowed and abandoned funeral home and the cops showed up. I was contacted by a couple that hasn’t be able to mow their overgrown grass and bushes, they are out of controls. Some of these weeds, bushes and grass were 15 to 20 ft tall! While you would have never expected a building behind this crazy overgrown lawn, we didn’t expect to find this creepy thing buried in the overgrown grass. We approached the owner and she gave us a tour and that’s what things really started getting interesting. This is my first time being in a funeral home behind the scenes, but, we were blessed to help this family.

Just subscribed 😉
I've watched your videos you do great work for people thanks for what you do. What state are you in by chance, keep up the great work, just look out for snakes this time of year hate them things and I don't like spider's either 😅.
@@tammyformyduval8762 we are in Michigan, we really appreciation your support
Thank you all for helping these people & maintaining the community God Bless you all!
Amazing job on cleaning this property.
What an interesting project!
Thanks for watching! Feel free to share
That place needs a lot of work. You did great.
It was fun doing it
Blessings and have a great day Erik !
Love the NEON SOCKS! Easy to find you if you get lost in the bushes! 😂
That place is large! You don’t realize how big those homes are until it’s empty.
It’s massive
@@OutdoorswithErik I love watching your videos. You sure do stumble on some crazy stuff!
I thought for sure you'd find an old hearse in the bushes.
LOL that would be crazy
I remember that kind of TV when I was younger
One of my relatives ran a funeral parlor and what happens behind the scenes is interesting (and sometimes humorous). I was interested to see the differences between U.S. & Canadian parlors! I don't know about the U.S. but there are strict laws in Canada governing funeral parlors (including crematoria). BTW, I'm with your buddy - I'm alarmed & a little frightened of clowns . . .
I don't like them either
I'm surprised you haven't ran into a big behive in that Bush
Hi Eric as to the doll you found it reminds me of the clown from the film it.
That was awesome
Thanks for watching! Feel free to share my friend
The boiler would be for heat. It is a hot water heater
That would make sense!
After I thought about it, I remember seeing that door. It could have possibly been used for the cremation. I think there was a second opening above the door that would’ve been for them to slide the body in on a slap for cremation. I have watched cremation videos before from a funeral home.
Owner: "That's where they used to cremate bodies."
Erik: "See anything cool in there?" 😂
LOL
😂
Hi Erik 🙋🏽. THIS ONE REALLY CREEPS ME OUT ‼️STAY SAFE OUT ERIK‼️🤷🏽🧐🤨. There's NO FREAKING WAY I COULD EVER LIVE IN AN ABANDONED FUNERAL HOME.I DON'T WANT TO BE THERE WHEN I'M DEAD, I DEFINITELY DON'T WANT TO BE THERE WHILE I'M STILL ALIVE ‼️👁️👁️
It was a unique experience, glad I could share it with all of you!
The guy was running a crooked operation and went to prison if I recall. If you don't have anyone licensed to run your business for you while you are in the housgow, it just sits there..
@@OutdoorswithErik 👊🏽👍🏽😀❤️
I agree with you, there's no way I would live in a funeral home I wouldn't even want to use it for any kind of business. It's too creepy.
😂😂😂 Why? Just a building. Nothing there but what you bring with you 😂
Thought you'd find an old casket under their! Think tree against the building should go, probably damaging the foundation!
Yea, I didn't have the tools to get that one down
Pretty sure that's a "tree of heaven" tree. It's an invasive species. I've always called them "weed trees". They're not only invasive, they stink and are potentially hazardous to humans; if their sap gets into an open wound.
Wow,that place looks so amazing. Beautiful work and looks so much better.
Thanks for watching! Feel free to share
I noticed your new chipper really breaks down to smaller pieces. Really does a nice job.
It's really nice setup
@@OutdoorswithErik What a job getting to lay with big machines lol
Very interesting...I don't know if I could redo in a funeral home but I love that she has plans for everything
It's a huge place
Deathly delights, oh my...
.
Their are NO demons in this establishment. Their is residual energy needs a good house cleansing with SAGE. Do be so creepy.... seriously. It's a lovely building and will be a terrific family home🎉❤
It's awesome!
Back in the day alarm system were very expensive so a lot of companies would have timers installed to cut lights on and off in different parts of the house or company to make people think they are in the house
Not sure how a funeral home goes out of business, People are dying to get in there.
LOL
Rent or taxes get to high maybe. Or other reasons maybe
Cemeteries have to Install Fences around the Entire Perimeter because people are just Dying to get in. Cremation is where things are going because of Rising Costs. 🤔🙏
Lol.
My Mom would say that people that work in a funeral sit around playing cards and waiting for someone to die.😅
ERIK ! I hate to ask this! BUT VERY IMPORTANT! The funeral home has a simple problem with its electricity ! FLICKER caused by the old style SILVER IN COLOR DOBBIN 2 WIRING !!! EASILY TO OVER HEAT !! *** CAUSES MANY HOUSE FIRES !! *** Need to call and have electrician check all wiring or at least see if electric box changed to breakers or still old glass fuses which is a bad sign and may also be able to see silver color wire connections! Ask electrician about Dobbin 2 wiring! Might also be new copper wiring but owners bought copper wire too thin for amount of power needed! But all need to be checked and fast!
Remodel from death to rebirth. Bravo!

My roommate and I watch you all the time. We love all your tractors and equipment. I watch a bunch of the other lawn care guys and gals but as you say you're different. I absolutely love watching your equipment just chew up brush and trees. It's like watching Pac Man num num num lol! Keep up the amazing work.
This machine is so cool. I'd want to spend all day eating ugly weeds and beautifying society. Then the first time a tick was on me, I'd run screaming like a little girl and no more machine for me. 🤣🤣
Flick the tick off and put a match to it. See what happens.
LOLOL
@@jerryrollins512What happens?
Thanks to the new owner for taking us on a tour and I wish them all the luck getting it fixed up. Would love it if she invited you back when they're all done. And thank you Erik for going back to finish that property (I watched the other 2 times you worked on it).
Thanks my friend! Feel free to share
Hopefully someone looking at the video will volunteer free work to help them out just like Erik.
You really helped her out nicely with all that growth around the building.
TOUR Was very interesting 😊❤😮
I would have a hard time living there! Bless them!

That Bush definitely takes up entire area lucky you have the right equipment
It turned out well
What an amazing job you guys did I personally like clowns but I know a lot of my family don’t. And I am so glad she gave us a tour. I’m so envious of her. That would be so much fun. Thank you for a great video.
It's not a weird clown it's cute. I mean I don't like them or anything but.
It was cool place
That's good to know the new owner is going through all that

I remodeled a funeral home around 20 years ago. The final inspection had "participants" . The inspection lasted less than two minutes
LOLOL
@mattshoemaker207 Are you talking about ghosts or something else?
@@carolhensley-c2l actual patrons. Not my family members.
Glad you are now protecting your face ,ears and head!
Thanks for the reminders
That is too creepy!! No way would i ever live in an abandoned funeral home!! Great job cleaning the place up.
You gotta be kidden me!!!! That is a monster mulcher/grader/lawn mower on steroids!!!!🚜
It's amazing!
I saw when you did the front yard. Also when you took care of the fallen tree. Nice to see you are doing more for this place

This is a beautiful place from the outside, I sure she can fix the inside into a beautiful home for her and her family, and kudos on the bakery idea. Think I would take that funeral home sign down ASAP tho to get rid of the funeral stigma.
Awesome job Eric! As always you don’t disappoint us!
Appreciate you, feel free to share
My mom has bought several Kia’s from that dealership next door. It’s sad to see places just get left and overgrown.
I’ve ran those machines before and boy are you worn out at the end of the day. Be safe my friend and keep up the good work.
You aren't lying, I was tired afterwards lol
Love the machinery that you use !!!

Great job! Any tree or bush where the trunk is growing right at the base of a fence or wall of a house, like at the 26-27 minute mark, you can bet, was not intentionally planted there and thus should be cut down before it does any damage to the foundation. You know this is true because all trees intentionally planted are usually planted a quite a few feet away from a wall or fence.
Could be
Hi Erik. I live in the area and have wondered about the ROYAL FUNERAL HOME for a long time. Also was curious about it.
You did a great job cleaning the property up. Impressive.
Way cool the new owner let you and your partner inside for a walkthrough of the place. Very interesting indeed. I hpoe the new owners are successful with the bakery.
Thanks again Erik for this video. 😎👌
The toy clown could have been used at a child's funeral at one time.
Maybe a parent took it away from a misbehaving child and threw it in the bush.
That clown didn't look very old and was too clean to have been laying around a long time. I think someone planted it there as a prank. It looked like a toy or collectible to me, not something evil or possessed. Kids would probably go there on a dare once it was closed down.
That is a good possibility
The equipment you use is amazing. I am glad someone is repurposing the funeral home.
Hey Eric if you need another weedeater I recommend the husqvarna 535lst or a echo srm 2620 trimmer
That Stihl owes him nothing. It has been a workhorse for him.
Boy Erik I sure love your toys. They get any job done! 😅❤😊
Great clean up

Wish i had that brush hog back in the day. We use to have to walk be hind a brush hog. would have saved me a lot of time.
Yes it's fast
Good to see that property getting a new life. I'm with Mark, no creepy funeral home dolls for me. The boiler would have been to heat the building, not cremation. That requires a much bigger furnace. Cool tour.
When I was a landscaper, we mowed for a funeral home. I seen them bring in a few bodies that they picked up. The owner joked with me one time if I wanted to trade jobs with him.
That would be crazy!
I appreciate and admire all you do , you're AMAZING AND A BLESSING BUT you just tick me off when in pretty much ALL your videos, you are ALWAYS PICKING UP CRAZY STUFF , PLEASE STOP especially without GLOVES. They're plenty of sticks and I know you have a shovel and a rack ,use them and then again somethings just need 2 be left alone TRUST ME .
You cutting down that big old Bush without looking to see if there was any baby birds or eggs or nests in their of birds that you're destroying what if there was little tiny baby newborn baby birds in there you guys are doing a great job it's cool of you guys to help people out in time's of need thank you God bless you
This was filmed in Summer. By July most baby birds have flown the nest. Don't worry no critters were harmed in the filming of this video.
That property is really coming along. Huge property 2 take care of. 😅

Can you imagine buying a funeral home and converting it to a bar b que palace
Sweeney Todd comes to mind but he was a Dentist/Barber.

I would not be able to eat there, to creepy for me. From dead bodies to food, oh heck no.

Maybe the green boiler used to use coal for heating system.

Erik another amazing job .

That machine is a real BEAST! Impressive!
(I would be terrified of annihilating any wildlife that might have made a home in such a large bush!)
I doubt they did cremations; nothing there is large enough. Not all funeral homes have those facilities. I know the one near us sends bodies to be cremated to another town.
The tour was interesting, but creepy. I don't think I could make a home from such a spot!
Ok Erik that was an interesting video. Great transformation outside, inside was creepy lol

Magnificent munchie machine is mezmerising to watch, something about that Instant Gratification of immediately turning chaos into attractive. Really enjoyable vid.👍
Hope the owner got great deal with her purchase price....🙀
Tree needs to be cut down. It’s growing into the building.

From a funeral home to a bakery? The outside looks good now though!
I think it's a great idea! Think of the Halloween specials!

There is no crematorium there. The body has to be fully loaded into a full size furnace & the heat has to reach between 1400 to 1800 degrees Fahrenheit. For that you need special ovens that are gas (propane) fed. And special oven containers for the bodies. I seen nothing here to implecate that.
Might be some of the reason they went belly up. There is more cremation now than ever. They would have had to have the body shipped out & ashes returned adding to cost of a funeral. And people wanted to cremate would opt out for a Funeral & crematorium combination funeral home.
No such thing as "ghosts" as human spirits. They do not roam the earth after death. But there are other more evil things in the supernatural world. But it's not humans. I'd live here & fix it up nice. I have no fear.
It's a nice place. Humans have irrational fears. Interesting.
Wow! No way! Good job guys

The work you do to help those people in need is awesome. I thank you on their behalf. I do enjoy your videos, cheers from NZ.
Not sure what your grinding machine is called, but it's awesome. Turns tree limbs into mulch!
The village I live in there's a funeral home a loved one would have been brought there people would go and pay their respects to the family then brought to the church and buried there wasn't a crematorium with it. That went out of business. There's more to the story but I won't go into it.
Love your green socks😅
LOL thanks!
Holy ground. A blessed place of rest. Thank you for cleaning it up Eric. If so many people weren't frightened of their spiritual future perhaps it wouldn't have fallen into such extreme disrepair.
Creepy.... just creepy .. but you did a great job making the outside look really great !
You did an awesome job on that machine Eric I always enjoy watching your videos
Erik and Mark you fellows certainly cleaned this property up and transformed it from a terrible mess that looked horrible into a very neat clean property. I agree with Mark as for the clown that was just too creepy I would have been scared spitless and the tour of the funeral home was so eerie in certain areas you guys are sure brave. You fellows are real true earth angels blessing and helping so many people. I love all the videos and thank you so much for sharing them. Take care and be safe my friends.

OMG!! The tone in your voice said I’m so petrified being in here!! 😂😂😂 Great job guys on the yard!! Looks really great!!
Thanks again for your support!!
If there was no fridge or freezer that's illegal the body has to be kept in a fridge to stop decomposition so it's a strange one that maybe why they were closed down
😮😮😮 thats kinda icky feeling… I know people that own the Home usually live there…. Or used to but geez wth will a person do with the room where they drain the blood and embalm ppl ? Holy crap ! A bedroom!!!!!! OmG noooo tear it down n build new ! Ghosts living there!
Thanks for watching! Feel free to share, it's crazy
That is an old building. You can see on the brick where it was changed. Cleaning up the outside sure was overdue. Looks so much better.
I fell in love with that building the first time you were there.
Now to get to see the inside was awesome.
Looks like it was a grand place at one time.
Hope the clown doesn't bring you bad luck 😊
I don't like clowns.
I'm glad someone is occuping the building now. Wishing her the best of success with her renovation and bakery business.

That was a bush from hell!!! Great job.
It was crazy!
My MIL lived in a house that had been a funeral parlor in Bainbridge, Indiana. It didn't have a crematorium though.
Yikes
I had a timer like the one in the basement & it was for my electric hot water heater.
Ah that makes sense!
Your tools are amazing so as you, God bless you sir erick and your family
Appreciate you!
😂😂😂 2 grown men afraid of a doll? Lol hehehe.
Glad someone bought this place ❤ Neat place.
You should have taken that sumac tree out bro. But I get time is a factor 😊
I know of churches remodeled into homes, but I don't think I could handle a home in a previous funeral home.
Oh, I also heard one that was changed into a daycare.
The creepy little clown doll was hilarious 😂
It was crazy
They wouldn’t Carry the Dead Bodies but they would just Slide them in and Cremate the Bodies. 🤔👍
In that little area?
