hello, i saw that you had commented on a video to go study abroad in brazil and POC 4 years ago, i wanted to know if you ended up going. Im still deciding if i want to go there becasue most of the classes are in portuguese. i wanted to know if you went, did you take classes in portuguese znd how ws that experience for you. Thanks :)

Yes, I had considered applying to study abroad in Brazil, and like you, had begun taking classes in Portuguese to learn about their cultural studies. However, my journey led me to the Netherlands, to the city of Utrecht. It was a very cool experience & I had a great time learning about the colorful history of Dutch culture, as well as their lovely language. However, I encourage you to pursue your goal to study abroad in Brazil. I have friends from college who returned to live & work in Rio, and others from the beautiful coastal city of São Paulo. I've included a link to a couple programs offered through the state of California to study abroad in Brazil. eap.ucop.edu/OurPrograms/brazil/Pages/default.aspx Also if you have an opportunity to watch a documentary by the artist Marina ABRAMOVIC, the Space in Between, it will introduce you to some of the cultural, healing & spiritual practices of the people.
