Semi-unrelated, but this reminded me of just finding custom content "full body clothing" for Sims 4 that's a thick winter jacket with a short skirt. It was called "Freezing to death" I found it funny
. . . Me a real intelectual it is the standard for the region its baised off of to wear skirts even if its winter. Like for real I recomend you looking into it probably the strangest part of the region compaired to the rest of japan THEY DONT ACT LIKE THERE COLD.
@@Newbmann maybe don't call yourself an intellectual, and definitely not "a real intellectual". That's not an insult, for the record, it's just some advice that making yourself the focal point is... really uncouth.
Exiting the darkness of Mt. Coronet and entering this beautiful yet unrelenting snowscape (accompanied by this amazing soundtrack) was such an amazing thing to experience as a child. Trudging through the snow and weathering the hailstorm, getting spotted by Trainers, resting in the lodge near the Icy Rock, and finally reaching Route 217/Lake Acuity was all trivial but so worth it. This was probably one of the best segments of the Sinnoh games.
I also love how it even felt daunting for my 8 year old self. Trudging through the snow, while worrying about your team's health and wondering when the heck you'll finally reach the city. I wish more recent Pokemon games continued that trend of expansive and intricate routes that actually make you think that you're really going on an adventure.
For me it was a pain and probably my least favourite segment of the game, but looking back on it, it was certainly memorable and worth it. The fact that my younger self was able to see it through without giving up makes me happy
I remember how i first got out of Victory Road and there it was, the League. But then, instead of a "Here we go, get that fucking title, you earned it man" type of music, you get a quiet, somewhat sombre piano piece that just says "Well. You made it here. You finally reached the League. The end of your journey is here. This is your last challenge. Take a second to think back. To remember all the adventures you had on your way here. Take a moment to breathe. And then, go in there. Get the title youve gone on this adventure for. You deserve it."
Ngl.. Never knew we we're supposed to go north. After battling the steel gym; I was just lost. I didn't know what to do next. I've explored all areas prior. My team was level 60 until I realized we were supposed to go north.
One of the classic complaints of people is that gen 4 is slow paced, i however think it was a beautiful touch, like walking through a bunch of snow in the blizzard or walking through a swamp and getting stuck. I liked this immersion
It's a double edged sword. It's truly amazing when you're just strolling around and taking in the atmosphere. But surfing over a puddle to get an item should not take more than 3 seconds. And the mud was really annoying imo. ESPECIALLY in the Great Marsh when you're on a time limit. I'm also just an impatient spaz who can't sit still. But the good and the bad both Ballance each other out and it adds to the charm of gen 4. But I have no interest in replaying anything Sinnoh unless it's got my favorite demon dragon centipede on the cover. Platinum is the only version I can play.
Same here! @@dopedoge3603 Exactly, especially this one route. It's the best thing a route can be imo, a nice and long journey to get to the next place.
I’m replaying Platinum right now and the moment that Team Galactic blow up Lake Valor they really take a moment to establish, “Hey, this is a very serious and dangerous thing.” Rowan and Dawn telling you to be careful and don’t get in over your head as you head to the lake. It really gave a sense of grounding compared to other gens where you just jump into things. Like hey, there’s a dumb radical organization that’s been mostly annoying up until now but as dumb and ignorant as they are, they have explosives now and are a very serious threat. You’re a strong trainer but you’re still just a kid, be careful. I’m 20 now compared to being 8 when I first played Diamond but I felt that.

Amazing. Exactly how I remember it, and I don't say that lightly. The tracks can be good, but the game's going to suck. That much is easy to tell for anyone who has basic pattern recognition. TPC only cares about selling merch, so they're going to give Gamefreak too low a budget to make the Sinnoh Remake as good as a remake deserves. Plus a large reason people loved Gen 4 in general, not just diamond and pearl, was because it had some semblance of difficulty. Not a ton, but enough that you actually had to put cognitive thought into battles. Gamefreak advertises to kids, so it's going to be a Press A to win. Of course, I'd love nothing more than to be proven wrong. Anyway, my point. Yes, the music is fantastic. I'm glad we can enjoy a well made remix that still feels like the original, just in much higher quality. It's just unfortunate that the remixes are likely to be the only quality thing about the remake. At least, from my point of view. Others might absolutely enjoy the newer games. But that's semantics.
Kro I disagree, first of all Platinum is one of the most popular games in the franchise and it's easily the easiest game in generation 4. Difficulty doesn't correlate with quality in my opinion, I'm still playing through Pokemon Sword but I found Ultra Moon quite hard (definitely harder than Platinum) although this part is subjective..) I respect your opinion though, I feel a gen 4 remake would most likely be good, I enjoyed every remake so far (I haven't played Let's Go) so I have no reason to think it'll be bad.
They should do what they did with the Mystery Dungeon remake! But with a little more remixing ofc (: The tracks have so much potential! Although I've lost interested in the newer Pokemon games, I still appreciated SwSh soundtrack. If they can pull of the remixes like in HG/SS, they'll have absolute bangers for dppt remakes.
The first video I watched on your channel was "Sinnoh Route 216 (Day)". Back then I was so flashed because of your amazing remasters. So this one here gives me the feels of nostalgia. Thanks Zame for the (almost) daily content!
All the gen 4 people came here. I remember getting pokemon pearl from my now 23 year old brother and was thinking “ what is this”. Without tutorials I beat the game in 3 months. My starter had to be chimchar. I remember not knowing hot to catch pokemon till like the 6th gym and when I was at the steel gym had a level 53 infernape I then caught a Steeliz and a Swinub with a Marill and swept the game with Mamoswine and Infernape. I called my Infernape Roku after avatar Roku and my Mamoswine Wooly after a wooly mammoth. I never got more attached to a pokemon than those two. I love gen 4 and 6 years later is on my 8th run through and are still finding somehow to use new pokemon on my team. I love this music from DPP because I think it is the best because it is so cheerful and makes the good times great. Love the channel
Breaking news: Underage girl wearing lewd miniskirt dies from hypothermia while chasing blue haired white males who kidnapped underaged boy with ADHD *Cheerful song plays in background*
First of all, Barry wasn't kidnapped, he went after Jupiter to stop her from catching Uxie. Second of all, there are enough blue haired females in team galactic and even 2 female leaders.
@@ezzyth8824 if I remember correctly, Jupiter beat his ass for being overconfident, and if it wasn't for their mission to get the red chain,he would've definitely been captured. And I'm pretty sure there were no female grunts there at the lake as well. Oh, and also r/whooosh :)
I'd hope the series undergoes a serious identity crisis by the time gen 4 remakes get made. Right now the games are incredibly dumbed down and condescend to players relentlessly because Masuda is convinced that if he doesn't, all the kids will get bored and frustrated and go max out mommy and daddy's credit card on some mobile game instead. I'd hate for gen 4 remakes to do to sinnoh what ORAS did to hoenn or worse. Of course, change won't happen until their sales figures get hit, though I hope many people's frustrations with gen 8 will impact future sales enough to be a wakeup call, even if it's just for the DLC. If gen 8 DLC sells well, then it'll be a long time before Pokemon gets good again. I just want the gen 4 remakes to be good, dammit. Going from GSC to HGSS was absolutely mind-blowing and the games got nearly everything right. I want that for sinnoh.
MeowImAShark unfortunately, SWSH sold insanely well, and they have DLC on the way. It doesn’t seem they have any reason to change. If they fuck up the gen 4 remakes I’ll legitimately fall into a very deep depression
@@haiku_king they have dlc is a good sign. Instead of spending time on a Ultra SWSH they instead designated a team to make doc (from what I've heard it's a different team than the ones that work on the main games) meaning they are in the process of making the next game which has a decent chance of being sinnoh remakes. If it gets delayed which is what I'm hoping these could turn out great... or It could be a complete mess like the trend is for new pokemon games. I guess i have renegade platinum (a great ROM hack that is very close to the original game) if gamefreak stuffs this up
Having just replayed Platinum, tbh, I don’t even want remakes. If they’re not gonna be good, I don’t want them. And yes if their sales take a hit, maybe they’d get a wake-up call, but people are still gonna buy the new games. After the SwSh trailers hit everyone thought/said it looked trash but wowie they bought them anyways. So there’s never any consequence and ughughugh it’s irritating
MeowImAShark I started out Pokémon with Ruby, and enjoyed the series up to gen 5. Ever since gen 6, I’ve been disappointed with the games. I loved the challenge of fighting Steven and Cynthia is gen 3 and 4, and Cynthia even became popular partly because of her difficulty. They better not make the gen 4 remakes easier. I bought a custom physical Gameboy Emulator to relive the gen 3 games and I’d buy a DS emu for gen 4.
@@lemonhead19 honestly from my point of view they were by far the worst games ever made (I don't count gen 1 and 2 since these were kinda the beta stages). I'd rather not have DPPt remakes if they get the same treatment as SwSh. I'd love to see gen 4 get remakes don't get me wrong but with where gamefreak is heading I'd rather not see them raping my childhood games
@Yaraka I mean SwSh did have really good things about them too. I really liked the reworking of gyms and the Pokemon League, and the music was pretty on point too.
this brings memories its already around what nearly 13 years since i first heard it man time flies pretty quickly away still, this remaster reminds me when i got to this snowy place all those years ago and still apreciate it great job.
I've been working on a fanmade Pokemon Tabletop. One that captures the things I most love about pokemon, in an easy to learn, difficult to master system that's faithful to the games and lore, while still ultimately remaining a roleplaying game. Sinnoh was my favourite. Critically and objectively, it's far from the best design wise, but it still remains my favourite regardless. This will really help me stay motivated to work on it. So, even though it's a few weeks late, thank you so much. I can't wait to listen to the rest.
I don't know why this is funny but I half this image 😂😂😂 for (route 216 Day)version but now is for (Night version) Good job Zame!! I listening all your music
This remaster perfectly captures my nostalgia! My first videogame alltogether was pokemon pearl and i've always loved the pokemon universe since. This music is a portal back to my first experiences as a pokemon trainer and gamer. Not many remasters archieve the same emotion. Well done and thank you for doing so!
@@guillaumehomier5038 Can't wait to buy the DP Remake Post Game, then be forced to pay for *Da Cutest Boi Gible!* (I wouldn't mind paying for Gible tbh)
Let me just say I have never played Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, but listening to your remasters makes me wish that I played it all those years ago and grew up with this. I cannot express how insanely good this is. This music goes so fucking hard and it is amazing. I hope you are hired by Game Freak and make their music for them because oh my god this is just truly magnificent. Keep up the fantastic work.
Happy 12th anniversary of Pokemon to me! On April 26th, 2008, my very first pokemon journey began here in sinnoh. Such a wonderful time i had here in the snow. It's also where my riolu evolved into lucario. My 10 year old self was overjoyed getting one of his first fan favorite pokemon like that. How i long for the DP remakes to be confirmed. Anyway, here's to another great year of playing pokemon.
Living in Michigan is practically like living in Sinnoh. It snows all the time. We got large forests and 5 great lakes for the trio to choose from. Small, rural villages and urban cities. Marshes and swamps and large wind turbines all over the place. We even got sand dunes to make up for the lack of a volcano! Only thing we're missing now is a giant mountain and a portal to the underworld. (Unless we're talking about Flint. That place is pretty much hell on Earth.) This instantly made me think of the times I would go camping in the winter and playing CTF in the woods with my friends. I would sit there waiting for people and end up just listening to the quiet of the snow covered forest for what seemed like hours. When there's absolutely no wind and the snow is coming down, it feels exactly like the vibes 216 gives off. You did a fantastic job capturing this! This is going on my winter vibes playlist. Keep up the amazing work! And stay safe out there people! 👍
It always bothers me when artists draw girls in cold-weather clothes, in a cold environment, but they have like 50% of their thighs completely exposed.
just closing my eyes and listening to the tracks instantly gives me the best kind of nostalgia when i remember all the times that i beat the games and what i felt while doing so

Difficulty doesn't correlate with quality in my opinion, I'm still playing through Pokemon Sword but I found Ultra Moon quite hard (definitely harder than Platinum) although this part is subjective..)
I respect your opinion though, I feel a gen 4 remake would most likely be good, I enjoyed every remake so far (I haven't played Let's Go) so I have no reason to think it'll be bad.
I just love the way Dawn looks in that art
The first video I watched on your channel was "Sinnoh Route 216 (Day)". Back then I was so flashed because of your amazing remasters.
So this one here gives me the feels of nostalgia. Thanks Zame for the (almost) daily content!
Bro u made mw go to that vid, not cool, cried
Love the channel
i dont even remember what was i doing with 8 years old
“Don’t be sad because it’s over, be happy because it happened”
Why not both?

Oh my god this is so pretty. The cold wind with the crunching from the snow at the beginning was a really nice touch!
Breaking news: Underage girl wearing lewd miniskirt dies from hypothermia while chasing blue haired white males who kidnapped underaged boy with ADHD
*Cheerful song plays in background*
*I see no issue here*
First of all, Barry wasn't kidnapped, he went after Jupiter to stop her from catching Uxie.

She was also found alive in Pokémon Center for a full recovery.
We NEED the Diamond and Pearl remakes so bad, great remaster btw, incredible as always!
Came for Dawn, stayed for the banger.

Emmet Val i dont know what your talking about man this is a banger of a song. (Of course I know what this means)
You know what, it’s fine. I’m not going to question this
yeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEES i love this track so much I FRICKING LOVE YOU FOR REMASTERING IT AGAIN
that art is really good
I love the crunchiness of the snow in the background
As someone who started playing pearl in 2006.
This is pure nostalgia.

So true...
Gen 2-5 in my opinion.

Gen 2: i'm a joke to you?

the childhood memories that this brings me distract me for a second before i feel my crippling depression again, thank you.
THIS is the Pokemon song I ABSOLUTELY want to see a live marching band rendition of.
actually made me cry thinking back on the good ol days way back when. 100/10 remaster.
Ice levels/stages/areas in video games throughout my history of playing games, have always had something special to them when it came to the music. 💙
I love how a handful of people do remixes and remasters on older pokemon games and don't just jump on the sword and shield bandwagon.
SwSh is trash XD
@@jille2608 it's everyone's opinion who is above the age of 13 or who has the capacity to objectively look at the games
@Yaraka The games weren’t terrible, but man they were underwhelming. I wish they put a little more work into the Gen 4 remakes (if we ever get them)
@@lemonhead19 honestly from my point of view they were by far the worst games ever made (I don't count gen 1 and 2 since these were kinda the beta stages).
This brings back so many memories. Keep up the great work!
A skirt and a scarf... buddy, your legs are going to freeze.
Amazing remaster though!
this brings memories its already around what nearly 13 years since i first heard it man time flies pretty quickly away still, this remaster reminds me when i got to this snowy place all those years ago and still apreciate it great job.

I would love to have that artwork framed up in my house honestly lol
I have sooooooo much good memories with those musics, thank you very much for all your beautiful work zame, it touches me right in the heart
My god this is so amazing, I now owe my life to you in return
It gives off such a snowy, urban downtown kind of vibe and I’m here for it
Holy shit I immediately was amazed. This reminds me of Christmas so much. I would legally give you $200 for this masterpiece of gold
When it's snowing in the early morning or evening I love putting this song on and think back on when I played Pokémon games as a kid 😊
I don't know why this is funny but I half this image 😂😂😂 for (route 216 Day)version but now is for (Night version)
Good job Zame!!
I listening all your music
ngl I could listen to just the sound of crunching snow and be just as happy
The beginning is extremely satisfying
:)
Aight bois who’s ready to do it all again this year? ITS HAPPENING THE DREAM IS REAL!!!
sinnoh was beautiful man
indeed it is.
It would be perfect for gen 4 remakes when they will be released!
Agreed
If they do decide to release the remakes they should be next year :D
@@Denofu Yes but maybe we will receive an anouncement trailer this year, I hope!
@iSynthh True but better than nothing.

😆Guess what? It is actually winter here in my country after all! LOVE coming here at night. So peaceful....😊❄⛄
Don’t know what country that is. Assuming you live on Earth, it’s either Spring or Fall right now.
@@linkthepringlesman3951 hey bud I live in the southern hemisphere (South Africa). Thats what I meant.
ダイパリメイクで流れてても絶対違和感ない
Takes me back to 2007 when I was 18, such great memories.. Best music in the game. The bells make a great ambience.
rather than being sucker punched by wild sneasel, it's nostalgia
Both your day and night remaster sound equally good wtf how is that possible x)
This crazy girl walked into a blizzard in a skirt and stockings

She said “leg warmth is for the weak”
Don't worry. She wears a plot armor

Noone noticed that dawn have tepig keyring in her bag.
Whoa yeah that looks like tepig
this, THIS is my childhood Jam, such joy.
the gen 4 remakes are announced if they changed the ost I might not feel familiar with it
Living in Michigan is practically like living in Sinnoh. That place is pretty much hell on Earth.)
This instantly made me think of the times I would go camping in the winter and playing CTF in the woods with my friends.
What about living in hokkaido?

Pokemon diamond and pearl is one of the few Pokemon games where the music and visuals force you to just stop and enjoy things.
Loved it for that
It always bothers me when artists draw girls in cold-weather clothes, in a cold environment, but they have like 50% of their thighs completely exposed.
