@@TUFFBASS 5 largies over about 3 1/2 hours. Chatter bait and underspin with white trailers were the ticket. Biggest was abt 15". I may try Crystal lake next time I'm out that way as it looked interesting also

DO NOT MOUNT DIRECTLY TO AN OLD TOWN SPORTSMAN 120 DIRECTLY TO THE THREADED HOLES. If you do, and you're in current, you are going to destroy the corner of your boat. I did this and have massive cracks that are not even fixable with plastic welding. The power pole will keep you in place if it gets a solid setting. But as the pressure from current pushes against the boat, the stress exerted on the housing attached to your kayak will flex the hull to the breaking point. Use an offset plate at least. If you do mount directly, Old Town will not cover this under warranty. I made my mistake, please do not do it, too. LOVE MY POWERPOLE and will be mounting on the starboard corner with a base underneath.

@TUFFBASS yes, I fish really heavy current but for $40 bucks you can buy a base for a bit of piece of mind!
