God bless both you and whoever is reading, dont forget Jesus loves you. He died on the cross for our sins and rose three days later. Have an amazing and safe day!❤️!!!!
Am I understanding this correctly? Daisy was being sexually abused by her father, and instead of accepting the horror of the situation and look for a way out, she normalized it in her head, which is why she spoke so weirdly fondly of him, like in the ice cream shop scene, and why some say she acted overly seductive during his visit. And when Lisa pressed her buttons, she hung herself. Because Daisy had been hopelessly trying to convince herself that her situation was OK, and when Lisa exposed what Daisy knew deep down, that she was just a grooming victim with a monster for a dad, she gave up. But what was she doing at the hospital exactly? What was her diagnosis? And what's up with those chickens.
in the book, daisy (the real daisy) is explained as a laxative junky with ocd. twice a week her father brings her chickens her mom roasts. it’s said that she’s eager for her father to leave so that she can eat the chicken, but he lingers, because he’s in love with daisy. she’s still equally as delighted about the apartment her father got her, eat-in chicken and all, but it’s not explicity stated how she really acted around her father. i believe that she just didn’t know what else to do. she was only a girl-a 19 year old girl. i think the chicken provides her with some sort of an escape, but even the way she eats it is reminiscent of her illness. it could even be a marker of the passage of time, as she says when “she has fourteen, it’s time for her to leave”. the movie leaves a lot up to your own interpretation, especially where daisy is concerned.

She was bulemic and had OCD hoarding disorder. She hoarded chicken carcasses under her bed because they represented her fathers love
