I man can make a difference. Grandpa's "car thing" and more specifically his appriciation for old Corvettes and Camaros has become the family obsession and business. How cool is that?
Thank You for showing us Grandpas collection!!! He needs the blue 68 R/S convertible that they had on Bewitched in 1968. Don't throw the Z28's original tires away...the car show concours guys go crazy for them!! (even just for display) Great Video!!! Yes I hit the Like button!!!
Funny how those old bias play tires develop flat spots. As soon as I saw the hood bouncing it brought back memories of a car I drove with original tires a few years back. When they heated up they got better, but still sucked. (lol) Those tires were horrible if they sat around for any length of time. Great cars you folks have. Wish I was going to MCACN this year. Have fun.
Last I saw that 69 Z28 it was for sale at the swap meet put on by Bruce Berkland at Mishawaka Gates Chevrolet. That was many, many moons ago. Still looking good. 👍👍
Std practice on a stock 69Z is to swap over to full manifold vacuum and the adv can to a B28. That will get it idling correctly. Then you can worry with adjusting the advance curve if you are going to drive it. May see you at MCACN...
All in the Family, what could be better than that? Z28 Camaro is a nice find. A friend of mine had a 69 Camaro big block that was fully loaded with an automatic. He wanted me to buy it for 9000 back in early 2000. He was the original owner of the car and I declined. He was so pissed at me too and now I wish I bought that car it was perfect like everything he owned. RIP John, know you are truly missed.
@@DarronSanderson Ha ha ha we are showing our age... or Sanford and son. Those were certainly different times and are missed as much as the cars of the day, along with the gas prices and High Octane (102) at Sunoco at 28 -30 cents a gallon.
Missed you at the Ducktail this year Ivan. Hope everything is going well. Jordan, congratulations on your teams success at the drags and keep up the good work. I love what you do.
My friend has a 69 Z28 the same color and the interior is black and yellow. The door panels are 2 tone and the seats on the inside have a small diamond pattern yellow and black. His also has a center console with gages. Completely stock. Cool car!
I will two dollars for it today. Three if they deliver it on a trailer. I had one of these back in the day ,not nearly as nice. It was the 305 engine package. Disappointed on the power but handled like it was on rails. In my young stupidity I traded it . Beautiful car in the video. Something to be grateful for
Couple of quick questions : What does your family do for a living? Are they hiring? Lastly,Are they looking to adopt!?I mean,I'm 52 but I'm real handy around the shop, well behaved, house broken (for the most part)... Probably NOT looking forward to hearing your response but .... gorgeous collection guys 🤟😆
That would be a tough pick for me, but I think I love his 68 SS Big Block 375hp best. I had one. Wish I had kept that one. Was young, it broke one night and I sold it when I was mad.
I grew up riding around in the back of my parents 78 Vette…hell I even had a couple friends ride back there with me… probably a whole lot easier when you’re a kid
Everyone of those cars are super nice I really like the 62 vette I had a 59 and I loved that car but I was really young when I owned it and I street raced it and the cops would pull me over everytime I drove the car
got to drive one owned by a school friend wanted to borrow my mc.... orange, 396, couldnt keep the back wheels on the ground,,,, he didnt drive well anyway, we raced, i beat him with his own car, we swapped vehicles and i beat him again.... fun to drive tho.... senior year hs, 1970
Back in the day these tires tended to develop flat spots in the fiberglass belts when the car was parked. This would typically go away when the tires warmed up. Unless the car is parked for years like this car then the flat spots would pretty much become permanent.
Very strange the claim that the Z/28 is all original and hasn’t been driven since 1971. From the factory, the top of the cowl was painted body color. On this car it’s painted black. 🤔
Time to go to school…. So the top of Z28 cowl panels were painted stripe color, not body color. So this car having black stripes got black paint on the top of the cowl panel, white stripes z28s are painted white on top of the cowl! This is on z28s only. All other Camaros are painted body color on top of the cowl. Just another example of how original this car is.
@ Um, no, you’re wrong. I’ve owned two 1969 Camaro Z/28’s, one I bought brand new. And both of them were painted body color on top of the cowl. I went to that school I’m betting, probably 40 years before you were born. I just took you back to school. Have a little respect.
Oh, I'm sorry. You've owned two Z28s in your lifetime? Wow, that's impressive. Do you want to talk about showing respect? Why don't you show some? You don't have 40 years of experience on me doing Camaros. Do you still have your '69 Z28 that you bought new? Maybe you could send pictures of it. It would be cool to see it. Our family has bought and restored way more than two. Or maybe you did have them, but you sold them in the early seventies, and you're wishing you had them back. And you're just going off your memory or things you read in books.
Thank You Jordan for sharing your grandfather's cool car collection

Dennis Collins will be calling this man personally!!!!
Hey grandpa, you need another grandson 😀
Your Grandpa has a stable full of really nice classics.
The stinger hood on the 67 and 68 camaros is my favorite. Your grandfather has excellent taste. Nice collection.
I was thinking the same thing. 👍🏿

Outstanding and amazing car collection. The 69 z/28 is in a class of its own!

It's great seeing these classics with original rims!

Every car Ivan drives is top notch

All in the family, I loved that show!
Been in the basement since the year All In The Family debut.

@dgiorgi1725 and, we refuse to buy anything that has a computer. We like when simple points and condenser was enough. 😇
Beautiful!! I miss my red ‘69 Z/28.
Grandpa has got some serious muscle!!!
Super cool collection!
It's so amazing to see this preserved classics that your family has man, i love it, hope to see more drives of these cars!
That's an extradentary car collection! I love it!
I have never seen cars stored in a basement like that.. that’s cool
What an awesome collection! He needs to build a garage in the back yard!
Cool! Thanks for sharing all that. That Z is amazing! Let me guess, he got it for less than $7K in 80!
Missed you at the Ducktail this year Ivan. Hope everything is going well. Jordan, congratulations on your teams success at the drags and keep up the good work. I love what you do.
A family with great taste in hot rods

A friend of my family had an identical car I have been in love with with the 69 Z28
Amen to you guys 🇺🇸🙏🏻. What did you Grandfather/Father do for business?
Cool I love survivors. Also always loved that year TA in that color.
Just got a 93 z28 lt1 but I’ll have one of those 69s one day
I've been in some beautiful basements in my life but none can compare to your Grampas

Great to see Ivan's toybox. I think the black Yenko clone was raced as a 4 Speed back then at Pure Stocks?
Automatic 396. He would black tape over the yenko badges and put a flat hood on it.
I remember the black tape. 👍👍
I grew up riding around in the back of my parents 78 Vette…hell I even had a couple friends ride back there with me… probably a whole lot easier when you’re a kid
Grampas 401K !! Good Stuff
I get it.. I bought a brand new 2023 f150.. It sits. I can see how this could happen

back in that day running 12's was hauling ass
Any chance you guys build the T/A for FAST? Maybe hook up with Butler and get that thing a 9 second time slip!!!!
We won’t be making it a fast car. It might be getting sold. Been having people trying to buy it for a while now.
Is it not a Chevrolet?
Awesome car!
WOWZA!!!!
Awesome 1969 z28
Car is beautiful. It looks like the passenger quarter panel paint doesn't match. My dad still has his 69 camaro he bought in 74. It's not a z28 tho
I am a devoted fan. However, what makes it a Z28?
Z28 package came with a 302?
Wow. Lucky man. And you are also
I stand corrected. Thought it had a console
The 396/375 hp maroon would cost $34,841.34 in today's money!!!
Big shot with a lot of money rubbing our nose in it that he had the money to buy it.
I think the headrests were an option. But not 100% sure.
That’s cool as shit
Wow!
Polyglass tires follow the curves in the road. Normal.
I’ve been 150 mph on polyglas tires and it been straight as an arrow. These tires are just old!
Back in the day these tires tended to develop flat spots in the fiberglass belts when the car was parked. This would typically go away when the tires warmed up. Unless the car is parked for years like this car then the flat spots would pretty much become permanent.
WOW is all I can say
You know, but to think not to enjoy driving it though
He’s had probably close to 1000 67-69 Camaro’s over the years. Not driving one was not a big deal.
Cars are meant to drive
Exactly! Which is why all these cars are drivable!
I thought Z28s. Were small blocks 😊
It is the hood was open it’s a 302
@Jeremey72 thumbnail
@@marcandrade4156 the other Camaro is a SS 396 big block
Wow
Did he just breeze over the fact that it's a manual? I'm losing my mind, I've never seen a car like this, I filmed thousands
All 67 - 69 Z28's were 4speed manual only.
Wrong shifter ball
😮
Alternator is not original.
What a waste all those years and no appreciation
Yeah what a waste to buy a car for $5,000 and let it build value to over $100k.
Calls an original 327 "nothing special". You're spoiled by the cars you have access to.
I didn’t say it wasn’t special. I said it wasn’t fast. Big joke in my family about how slow that car is, and it has a powerglide to top it off.
LSx’s do nothing for me. I like em all stock.
Good thing he’s got a few of those 🤣
