  • This is a collection of videos, made for Instagram really, from just before Christmas. The weather as been appalling for over six months and I’m not inclined to stand about making videos, I have a job to do, I start work at 5.30am six days a week and trying to keep reasonably warm and dry is a priority as the days are long when you’re cold and wet.
There’s a couple of safe destruction clips, wagons tipping, wagons loading scrap for export from Liverpool and others for UK foundries. The old Foden dumptruck makes an appearance. I’ve tried to show some examples of the weather we experience, 60mph sideways rain, there is some blue sky in there, we have the, very occasional, beautiful day. There’s some Copex shearing action to satisfy the metal munching lovers, also, my new Sennebogen 835E, a very recent Sennebogen 825E, it’s only been here a few weeks. An even more recent Case 521G 4WD loading shovel, it only arrived on Friday and has replaced our longstanding JCB 411 as the yard wheelbarrow, it’s a really nice piece of kit, I’ve just been playing with it this (Sunday) afternoon and making videos. See what you think, positive comments welcome, and I’ll try to respond, negative commentators, well, you just need to get F****d 🤷‍♂️😂

Ok, I admit it... I am addicted to watching the shear. Great video, wonderful to see the new equipment and the old truck. I wonder how much tonnage it has carried over it´s life time? Probably more than I could imagine. I bet the sideways rain was painful pelting you while you are working. And the wind speed too! I missed the videos on Instagram, I don´t really do social media. Glad I got to see them here! Thanks, as always Mark for your videos, I really enjoy them!

Great to see you back again, i have missed your videos, the shear still amazes me with its strength & shearing power, great to see the old Foden working, do love the sound of the engines, remember them way back in the early 70's. dont leave it to long next time, even a 15min vid is better that nowt, take care, Chas, Brum,

We bale with a non ferrous baler, we have a non ferrous alligator shear and a cable stripper. I don’t really show what goes on with the higher value metals as it isn’t a good idea.
