Hey guys, top speed will be 20 mph if you decide to pick it up, my model was for a different country. I'll be reviewing this bike in a couple months with the updated motor so check back then
nice video. i think this bike appeals to those who are in the city. it's so compact and lightweight it seems optimal for that situation. you can easily take it on the bus or train and easy to store in the office. i would definitely buy one if it were a little cheaper
Thanks for the review, very thorough. As you noted your model was basically a European version that's limited to 250W and max speed. It's nice to see that they have both pedal assist and throttle modes. I look forward to seeing your 350W version review. However for me this is a non starter as I want something I can still ride if the battery dies - it needs a 10-speed hub or mid gears, that's the ideal solution.
Chain Drive CARBO™ Folding E-Bike MODEL S - Featuring a carbon fiber folding frame, a powerful 250W motor, and a 9-speed derailleur CARBO Model S masterfully combines fitness and daily commuting in a singular folding electric bike.
Does it fit somebody 5ft 2…without the battery seat being lowered less than the front chain ring, ie battery won’t dangerously hit the ground if you go over a speed hump???
I wish they made a 500 watt motor. The slow speed gets boring after awhile considering there are way faster options on the market like the Zooz. I loved the Carbo X when it first came out but it seems Carbo isn't interested in releasing any new products or updates so it's getting stale now.
This was by far the worst bike I ever purchased. I got it about eight months ago didn't ride it all winter. Finally summertime comes 20 miles. The motor stopped working. The light broke the clip that holds it in place to fold. It broke and the customer service was absolutely rude and not helpful. I'm still trying to get this thing to work so I could sell it which I feel bad giving this bike to anyone and if you notice the reviews when you go online, the only reviews you could check is on their website, they've spent all their money to keep the only good ones would recommend this bikw on my worst enemy
I love how youre paying for less materials. The company must be making bank. This bike is almost 3000$ I think people would buy 13 jetson bolt pros first. Theres the humming bird which is even lighter for 5000$ If they sold this for 500$ Everyone would buy it. Literally everyone but not at 3000
The company carbo are only interested in making money 🤑 as money as possible and as quickest possible, this they wouldn't sell for anything less than $3000 ,it's on sale for £2700 in the UK , 😊
@@stanman260 I didn't say they should sell it for £500 , I'm saying the conversation rates from USA $ to UK GBP £ are too high , it's costs £3000 in UK , it should be similar to the USA $ pricing .
It's currently discounted to $2000 with the 250W motor but including rack and fenders. $160 extra for 350W, $50 extra for throttle control, and $180 for the 10.5Ah battery upgrade so about $2400 full loaded.

According to the company the 350 watt motor gets you to 20 mph under either pas or throttle

Thanks! They sent the US version which got me up to 18 mph, that was the only difference. They also offer this with gears, that may fit you better

Is it true that the Carbo Model X 350 watt version only has a real world range of 12 miles ( 19 km )?
Nice review. Thanks for sharing!
Looking at the model s used for 1600 has 350 watt and throttle

I agree, got to at least hit 20+, maybe we'll see that if they release an updated model
Interesting take... maybe Carbo prioritises reliability and safety.
It's kind of like how Apple OS is the same and boring, but it's reliable.
@ElectricRevolution ... you can try the Carbo S and pedal a bit faster lol
@@dappadondadda100 I have both the S and the X. Even if you pedal faster on the S, you will still get stopped out at 20mph.
can you tell me Helmet used in THIS video please? two links at description does not correspond
it's from xinto
Thanks for the content
Which phone App(s) do you pair with the bike, please?
I'm not sure this has one but you can search for Carbo. The speed and tracking apps I used were "map my walk" and "speedometer". Hope that helps
سلام كيف الحال انا عندي نفس السؤال
Wish we could get it to 25mph at least, any hacks ?
Me too and no, I asked them, 20 is it

what is the song in the intro?! Sounds so good!
Oh shoot, I'm not sure, I use a bunch of different songs

@@tahirahmed33 Carbon fiber is super expensive. You're delusional if you think this can make any money selling for 500.

It's like buying a tiny dog for 3000$ you arent paying for its performance, but because it's cute.
$2900- is kinda pricey for such a small motor and battery.
It's all about how lightweight it is, that's what you're paying for
Not worth the money
@@JJSmith01can go with Lectric bike instead which is cheaper and faster
Overpriced. The range is below standard
Agreed

Your saddle is too low
too lazy...he doesn't pedal
Dang right! lol
Shitty. No power. Not worth the money
