This just went from "Holy shit, that's awesome" to "Oh, that's lame as hell, it sets false expectations and implies that the system can do more than it can." (Translation: "Oh, it's a lie.")
Flint struggles in his predicament, a blade to his throat, and a scum demanding order from his Bright Lord. He knows what must be done. His fight was over. If his Bright Lord was to succeed, he must make the ultimate sacrifice. He arms his ticker, grasps his capter tight, and steadys his heart. He is not afraid to die, but rather, he is afraid to leave his comrade alone. He shares a glance to his fellow brother. The dread of realisation falls on his face, but not for Flint. He smiles to his comrade, his brother, his friend. The ticker armed, he taunts his capter. "One word...Boom" The ringing of the blast could be heard from beyond the walls. Its deafening purpose shadowed from the chaos engulfed on the battlefield. The armies progress, all but one orc. Who falls to his knees, as dread swallows his heart. Hes gone. The last purpose of his existence, the very friend who stood by his side for so long. Long enough to call brother. Was gone. He cries out his name, not in sollace nor anger, but for his enimies to know why today shall be the day, they suffer a slow, painful death.
The thing is, flint wasn't fighting for the bright lord. He'd found a kindred spirit who liked to blow up stuff as much as he and Torz Tinder did. So what better way to go out than with a boom?
I just wish they made the nemesis system open for others to use or put it in other games. It has so much potential, and it's squandered by limiting it to the Mordor series.
@@catchmeboynice1558 I wasn’t talking about the scene, I was talking about the system, which is exclusive to the Mordor games, and I think it should be used for lots of games.
@@JasonNewsted420 ubisoft would capitalize the fuck out of it but will somehow squader it. Blizzard will straight up put it somewhere in Warcraft, or put it in the next overpriced Diablo DLC if they were to make one.
All it does is highlight how shallow the Nemesis system is at the end of the day. Doesn't help that you have to play like a blind, one-armed leper in order to get anything worthwhile out of it.
@@catchmeboynice1558 Here's a sword, go kill orcs. What do you mean "plot?" Go kill orcs. "Lore? Story? Characters-" oh ffs *_here's a sword, do you want to kill orcs or not?!_*
I hope one day to see another game with even half of the interaction this one had in it. The story was utter piss, but MAN did they make the game itself feel like a living, breathing world!
for a moment, Middle Earth itself ground to a halt in tribute to the bravery of that Orc's sacrifice forever remembered for the explosion loving lunatic he was, finally chosing to become one in death, forget ye not the name of Flak Flint. his buddy sure won't
Just FYI for people who didn't know, this is a scripted scene from the Blade of Galadriel DLC. The nemesis system is complex, but not this complex.
That’s kinda dumb how it’s only a DLC but I get it has to do with some limitations

@@CoralCopperHeadwell the dlc came out later than the game so its not really a lie
Such a sad but also badass death. The DLC had some great characters in it.
Would rather die than be held hostage. Absolutely based.

Great writing, save for the typos

Its great, but flint didnt serve the bright lord tinder was his blood brother
Holy hell how much interaction did they cram into this game.
just imagine what would be possible now 6 years after the games Shadow of Wars release
This game made with absolute love!!!!
DLC this is not the main game
This is a scripted event tho
@@Guille2033 oh?
Damn I didn’t know this game could be so emotional what 😭
The emotions hit different in this game. 😢
I never, EVER knew that was a possible interaction. Such a noble, sacrificial deed Flint did. RIP
It’s scripted so he always dies

This scene is scripted... Blade of Galandriel dlc. This scene has nothing to do with nemesis system

Imagine what abominations would Ubisoft and Blizzard create with it

Crazy how the main premise of the game is personal stories through RNG orcs, yet the DLC only does premade orcs, and are actually all cool
All it does is highlight how shallow the Nemesis system is at the end of the day. Doesn't help that you have to play like a blind, one-armed leper in order to get anything worthwhile out of it.
Thank you for the reminder how awesome the Middle Earth games still are: boom!
Aw his bloodbrother crying at the end got me 🥲 this was such a cool game ^^
The bloodbrother crying for is falling brother
Only good thing about that DLC were characters like this.
Yeahh... The story, lore and content was rly bad...

Someone make a note of that Uruk's bravery
At least we got to keep the other one. RIP my man Flak Flint

That was super fucking badass
How much drama is there in one scene
