- The next videos introduce you to three foundational philosophies in qualitative research. In this video Dr Moerman explains what hermeneutics is and why it is important for qualitative research. You learn about the hermeneutic circle and its two important elements: knowledge cannot be considered independently of the knowing person and every person and all knowledge is embedded in a context.
I've never seen anyone so enthusiastic about hermeneutics. Loved the video! Thanks.
wow, I´m having a test tomorrow I´ve read all the books that are included in my literature list but only now I understood what hermeneutics means. Thanks for that!
not emerging from the library ... @1:02 that pause was a silent mental laugh :) Great content and presentation btw.
You did really made a great effort to explain. Thanks for your undertaken efforts
thank you sire for the interpretation of the hermeneutic in such subtle way...
Thank you. I already have a general idea regarding this topic but I'm having a hard time putting it into words.
Thank you so very much for this video!
Thanks for this!!
Thank you for that, all my text books are way to vague and not enough examples of how they are applied.
Very clear interpretation
You're great. Reminds me of a Dutch Paul Bettany
I love you. You seem so chill and cool
I love your teaching. However, all of your videos are too short. We need long and detail in each qualitative research methods.
Thank you for this
very helpful
Great stuff .
Would benefit from slower delivery , lot of examples.
very helpful, but please stay away from text behind you so that we can follow
I'm guessing Silverman was not very keen on IPA haha
For others seeing this video, this is a big misinterpretation of a secular principle. Husserl and Heidegger use this term to describe the phenomena of reality. Please ignore this video
can you elaborate?
The video simply shows that hermeneutics was around long before Husserl and Heidegger.
