Job well done Thomas. Like the useful tips you given. Bought the kit also. like the color you picked out for it. Thank you for sharing. Regards, Chris.
Nice job! I remembered that it's LeMans decals on ebay that have the TURBO decals in a few other colours if anyone wants to order them. I haven't decided what colour to do mine in yet, I've made the 1/43 Heller version in blue so maybe red for this one. Don't think I'll be able to do as good a job on the wheels as you though.
Excellent build well done. The slightly different colour of the bumpers etc was due to the same colour paint being used on the ABS plastic, which was replacing the chrome on cars, but well noticed and portrayed. model on
Really like this kit. Sometimes simpler detail is OK. I think you got the rear numberplate lights the wrong way round. I think the silvered clear piece should be nearest the plate not outerwards as y9u placed them. But its been so long since I've seen a 1st gen 5 turbo I may very well be wrong!
About 2 weeks. Cure time on the paint and leaving enough time before polishing it takes longer. I think if I hadn't polished it, it probably could have been done in a week.
The shame is that the model has not much detail. I do not know how much does it costs but this same model from Heller or Italeri, are far more detailed.
Very nic. Very helpful.
I like the subtle blues you used. Nicely done.
Thanks, Spencer. I tested it a few times as I really didn't want it to be too subtle or too obvious a contrast!
Thomas music choices are always first rate!
Much appreciated, Richard
Can the interior of the Renault ne different..Other than the Red??
Yes, there are also decals for a beige interior. I think the real car was also available with black or blue but there aren't decals in this set.
Cool subject that is somewhat unusual on this side of the pond. Beautiful job on this, love the blue color. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! You know, despite being much closer to France, I've never seen one of these in the UK either. Maybe I need to look harder!!
@@BOABModels I saw a few of the standard versions of the car, called “le car” over here. Three lug wheels and all!
Great work again Thomas, love the subtle turbo decals
Thanks so much, mate!
Love the color choice, this came out really nice!
Much appreciated, thanks!
Fantastic work there Thomas, looks really great and lovely colour choices too. Well done.
Thanks so much, Karl. I'm glad I did it in blue

Bought the kit also.

Thanks very much, Chris. I hope the tips help, especially if you plan to do it blue as well.
Neat Job...Would like to see Tamiya make a AUDI QUATTRO rallye car..🤗
Thank you! I know they made a road version back in the '80s. That one is very rare now.
Looks awesome sir, real nice work.
Thank you kindly
Very nicely done 5/5
Very kind, thanks
Cool model. 👍
Thanks!
You have done a great job, I've got this kit todo myself but don't yet know what to do but loved yours
Many thanks! My second choice probably would have been yellow and black.
ok thank you

Thanks so much. The wheels were quite the challenge. I'd been tempted by that Heller but might leave it now I've made this one.

Thanks very much, Sarah Jane. That makes a lot of sense - I just about remember when 'body colour bumpers' was an optional extra on smaller cars!
Really like this kit. Sometimes simpler detail is OK.

How long did this take you to complete?
About 2 weeks. Cure time on the paint and leaving enough time before polishing it takes longer. I think if I hadn't polished it, it probably could have been done in a week.
I have an original kit of the rally version, I’m too scared to build it!
Yeah, I can imagine. I wonder if they might bring that one back soon too so that might make things easier.
The shame is that the model has not much detail. I do not know how much does it costs but this same model from Heller or Italeri, are far more detailed.
I'd be interested to compare those as I've made the Heller Peugeot 205 T16 and that has almost no detail on the inside.
Rebox the old kit its not a good Idea , not for this 😂
annoying BGM
