Hi Jimmy, I’m a pharmacist. Use the gum or the patches. Whatever seems to work the best. If you are on the patches, Do Not Smoke at the same time. You can get an arrhythmia. Take the patches off if you have to smoke. Hang in there, you can do it.
You are smarter and stronger than any cigarette made! When I stopped smoking I remember telling myself that I didn't quit I stopped! Cause I ain't no quitter.......
Jimmy, you sound more badass and lively than a lot of 20 year olds. Your music is wise and old as time in the best way though. Thanks for the updates and the sweet sounds. Can't wait to hear the new record and glad to hear you kicking ass and talking your shit as always. Stay healthy and dont go nowhere! Thanks a million for your videos and time. I am eternally grateful.
Great to see you Jimmy....Eastman make beautiful guitars. I played the same guitar over the weekend at a guitar store. Incredible value for money. Good luck giving up the cigs, not easy but well worth it. Go well.
59 and got carotid artery plaque build-up but quit smoking Dec 17 last year near cold turkey from 2-3 packs a day. I used chewing tobacco for a week to minimize the impact from quitting the cigarettes, then stopped the chewing tobacco a week later. The gum and patch have always been useless for me and the study data also shows that chewing tobacco is by far more effective for quitting cigarettes. Good luck with the quitting, it's not so bad, just the craving moments suck.
I've got an old Ibanez 335 [356?], stereo. Absolutely beautiful. Just got to learn to play the fucking thing now. Good luck with the cigs. I'm pretty much in the same boat mate. My problem is that I actually like smoking. Dumb or what? Thanks for putting a smile on my face sir. You do it every time.
Good luck with using DAW. I know you will get through it. The DAW was my guitar buddy during the 2020 pandemic and it helped me a lot with making, enjoying and sharing music. Thanks for the inspiration.
I got a 2022 Gibson Les Paul Standard that is super good. Flawless build , perfect intonation all the way up the neck, terrific Jazz tone on the neck pickup. I always buy straight from Sweetwater or Musicians friend. The trouble with guitar stores is that when a great guitar comes in the shop guys call their friend who buys it. The ones left in the shop are the 3 out of ten that are no good coming off the line. You can return to sweetwater if you get a flawed guitar. I would not play an Eastman, Jimmy's Eastmans don't sound good to me. I play a ES165 Herb Ellis, an Elitist Casino, a California series USA Telecaster, 2022 Les Paul AAA top with 57 classic humbuckers, proven terrific sounding guitars.
Hey Jimmy I’m trying to quit smoking and was using the patch but they made me dizzy so be careful what mg you get , stick to the Sadowsky just my opinion great as usual love the rants.
Hey Jimmy, switch to vaping. I used to smoke and switched to vaping over 10 years ago. A doctor recently told me that they wish THEIR lungs sounded as good as mine. Truth. It's a hell of a lot cheaper too.....not even close. I stopped craving cigarettes soon after I started. PLUS.....you don't have to make all those stupid vape clouds like some people do. You can get a small one and use it just like a cigarette and even choose what nicotine level you want......even zero. I can tell you step by step if you want to give it a try.. BTW, I've been practicing your five fingering positions using the Circle of Fifth's. It's made a big difference. Thank you and God bless. Nice guitar !
JIMMY , I hope all is well with you in Health - - spirit and mind - - < Joe Nania a.k.a. Hollywood Joe -P.S. If you can get a ZOOM HD16 Hard Disc Recording Studio - - It is a recording machine unit that is in between Old School and New School - technology - -
I'm no fan of the DAW's either. Makes me feel like a DUH, even though I've got a lot of experience with the analog recording gear. These digital devices seem phony to me but I know that's how they do it now. Used to do wonders on a TEAC 3340 4 channel deck at home. I went to FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL recently where all those 60's, 70's and so on hits were recorded. They still have all their old recording gear and boards that Jimmy Hall used to record people like Wilson Picket and Booker T. on. Even though they have the latest digital stuff too, a lot of people still prefer to record on the same gear used 50 years ago, being it has a certain richness quality they like better.
Good morning... I got a bunch of guitars I never play. The 300 dollar acoustic seagull I like cause I dont have to plug it in and I can hear it and it tunes just perfect no need to fiddle with the action/intonation and all of that. When I get some new strings, its really good. The trade off though is playing the other guitars is pretty different and kind of tough to get used to. I should really play those more... I got an ibanez jazz box thats pretty but not that crazy about ... d'angelico kind of lucile and the prs are the kind of better ones I got. Trying to have a smoke in the mornings a bitch these days for me too but Im a good bit younger than you. Those nictotine mints are pretty screwy if you are smoking in between... of course you arent supposed to do that... gave me bald spots was when I put them down.. If I quit the only way will be when I really want to or when it kills me
Wishing you the best with your health Jimmy! I’m a HUGE fan of your playing and listen to your albums often. Also love your channel and your I don’t give a sh!t attitude LoL!🤣 if you’re looking for a bunch of pedals or sounds at a decent price, maybe consider something like a BOSS me90 multi fx. It’s like a bunch of analog pedals with knobs all in one. (I have one also, not affiliated with them at all). It’s good bang for your buck and not complicated to use. Keep on doing your thing man!!😎🎸👍
Jimmy love these vid's. Love how you tell it like it is! Fuck Cigs smoke a little bit of the Devil's lettuce once in a while! Eastman's kick gibson's ass and a lot other brands at half the cost!
i use a DAW, i hate it clickety clacking. i imagine easier than tape but it can be painful and doesnt have the same 'warmth' that i hear from records. too crisp@@brunoonlineschool7527
Yes, the Tone master series sound great, I agree. Let me ask you this. The Fender Mustang series has Fender Deluxe and Twin digital models built in. How do the Mustangs and Tone Master series compare ?
@@ES175jazz Yes, I know that, but what I'm wondering is how it compares to the Fender Mustang modeling series that does digital modeling of Fender amps too.
I have three eastman guitars. Everyone is better than my gibsons. They cost less than half what my gibson's did. I will never buy another Gibson. I do however have my eye on another eastman.

Dear Jimmy, I LOVE your attitude!
I have 3 Eastmans. They're amazing.
I loved the taste of Moonlight in Vermont that you played.
Condolences on your wife. I lost my wife and best friend in sept. Of ‘22.
All the best.
I’ve sat in that same booth countless times… the best
That Eastman sounds great with your little bud amp. Good luck and congratulations in advance for quitting smoking. 🙏🙏👏👏👏
Just got an Eastman AR 372 last week and agree they make em' great. Love everything about mine
the cables on a Desk or console were a patch bay or inline system.

Eastmans sound excellent in the right hands. I love my T486. I say PLAY Eastmans Jimmy!
Good luck with the new guitar. It sounds great. And I'm glad you are going to stop smoking.
Fucken love this guy!!! Rock on hard Bruno

New guitar sounds good.
What a fantastic video have a good day ❤😊 also today is Thanksgiving in Canada 😊❤
glad you're onto Eastmans....big time value. Better than a Gibson for less than half the money.
Unless someone is sponsoring you Eastman is the best!
Nice Autumn in New Yotk verse there. 😊
hope you are in better health soon. have you ever played gretsch much? they are absolutely lovely, even the lower end ones.
when I was younger.. they used to make good guitars but since they've sold sold.. not so much
thanks for reply!@@brunoonlineschool7527
Good luck kicking the gaspers. Best move I ever made. Just remember, all you were doing is paying for some Philip Morris exec's next Mercedes.

The new guitar sounds kind of tinny
what are you using to listen to the channel?
Question: did you feel you made better music/enjoyed the process of recording to tape vs recording using a DAW, or its the same?
it's the same if I am the performer.... not the same when I am playing and i'm the engineer
i use a DAW, i hate it clickety clacking. i imagine easier than tape but it can be painful and doesnt have the same 'warmth' that i hear from records. too crisp@@brunoonlineschool7527
hey jimmy, try all in one guitars in california. best 335 for under 600 bucks. and way better than a gibson.
Also I would trade in the Henricksen for a Twin reverb Tone master. You'll never need anything else again!
Yes, the Tone master series sound great, I agree. Let me ask you this. The Fender Mustang series has Fender Deluxe and Twin digital models built in. How do the Mustangs and Tone Master series compare ?
@@jimdep6542 The tone master series is a very very close replica of the originals but a tiny fraction of the weight
@@ES175jazz Yes, I know that, but what I'm wondering is how it compares to the Fender Mustang modeling series that does digital modeling of Fender amps too.
Hi Bruno, what do you use this new guitar for? I mean, in which situations you use each of them, I guess?
a loud drummer or a loud room will make me use the eastmen.or for playing a slow ballad.. you can't beat the sustain.

gibson is an absolute joke now
